So... I'm curious. Are people still able (and willing) to mess around with vehicles by using scripts? I was just curious, because in the last few days I had found three vehicles (which is three more than I have found in my entire play time) and of course I hid them in my special, personal hideout where I also stash my stuff. Needless to say, at least two days later the vehicles are gone... BUT: Everything in my tents is still there. Even the antibiotics and the AS50. So, either I can only assume that they took the GAZ without finding my tents (the bus and bike were both right beside the tents) or they have been hacked away. I do accept that people might find and steal my stuff, that's part of the game, but I do NOT accept that people just teleport my possessions away. Being a demigod in a zombie apocalypse kind of ruins the balance. edit: Alright. My antibiotics WERE gone... Maybe I need another hideout. Off the loot maps most people use. I mean, I deem it safe. It's off the main traffic areas and outside of the cloud of cities and towns, so I expected random traffic to be around zero. But then, who knows, cheating might have been involved or not. PVP is allowed, It happens and we don't ban people for shooting on sight but we do encourage team work. We have far too many vehicles and we manually add aircraft daily including the Osprey, C130, Maules, AN2, Littlebirds & Hueys. Also have a few UAZ with machine guns and the camo Humvee plus refuel urals and repair urals. On the weekend we run events to keep things fun :) Last week was a Huey dogfight over Sabina and we have many other events planned. I always thought the fact that you cant shoot in or from a vehicle is sort of... bizarre, like, what if I wanted to shoot the driver in the head while we were driving from the passenger seat? Perhaps that isn't very fair, but eh, I don't know it could be kind of cool. But I think it would be very cool if players could lean out the passenger window and fire weapons at other players. like, you don't have to get out of a car to shoot a gun in real life, why in DayZ? But just imagine: You're driving down the road with your buddy and you see a truck coming down the road, in that truck, is a few bandits, hanging out the window and firing at a few bambis running into the woods. From their in-game mics you hear them laughing hysterically. Finally, your getting close to them, both you, and the bandits open fire on each other, You're leaning out the window with an AK-47 firing into the driver side as you pass them, and disable their vehicle, you see you killed the driver and that you took a round or two and are bleeding. Your buddy spins the car around and you head back towards the remaining bandits. As you approach you see that there are only two more, one of them passed out in the road and is being bandaged. As you approach you send a burst into the still standing bandit, killing him off. You're driver shifts the vehicle slightly, running over the unconscious bandit before you head back out on your way... I think this would add a great bit of fun to the game personally. Also, I was inspired by this video (just watch the beginning to get my inspiration.) If you're not in the mood at all and just want the gist, cut to 2:48.
