  1. I do play normal servers, and I've spent hours gearing up and repairing vehicles and stashing them in the woods and all that, but sometimes I just want to get onto a server and fanny around... Which is where things like this come in to play... It's definitely not to everyones taste, but it's definitely a good laugh!

    Weapon Weights, Strength and Stamina

    this has been suggested and discussed over many diffrent topics and posts. However its not done :D Lets discuss it then, Heavy characters should have some degree of negative effects like------ -more noise when running and walking -running slower -running out of stamina faster -eating and drinking more -Using more time to enter vehicles Lighter charactes would have the exact opposite stats. results of this would be, people gave second thoughs of carrying coyote backpacks and machine guns, heavy snipers etca. if bulletproof vests were implemented this is defenitly a piece of clothing that gives your character more thirst and maybe less movement, dependant on the clothing.
  5. Something wired is up with vehicles disapering after restarts atm. We've lost 4 cars and two choppers now in two days, and sure people can find stuff, but all four that spread out on the map. never happend before... :)

Vethos updated spawn technology: US1: 129 vehicles (including 43 bicycles) EU1: 130 vehicles (41 of which bicycles) EU2: 120 vehicles (of which 37 bikes) This shows the maximum value engineering course will be 2 times less, but 13 bikes will spavnyatsya guaranteed. Respawn point equipment increased from 92 to 504. If during the time of the session broken equipment is not found or does not interact with it, then after a restart, it will be destroyed. You can no longer change clothes/eat/drink/etc. while in a vehicle (exploit related) Fixed zombie death animations (no longer sprint forward before dying) Exploit/dupe involving disconnecting fixed Bear traps work properly and do not leave behind invisible traps when picked up Vehicle bug that "insta-repaired" vehicles no longer happens Tents no longer creep on each restart (just once on first restart, then never again) [ New Mechanics/Features ] Combat System. If you fire a weapon, someone fires a weapon near you, or a bullet/object impacts near you, then you go into combat. During combat, "ABORT" is disabled. If you ALT-F4/close anyway, your character is considered "combat logged" and instantly killed and leaves a body. A timer in the upper right (will be removed eventually) and a G17 gun icon near your temperature icon indicate whether you're in combat or not. Chloroform. In an experiment to see how heroes and bandits alike use it, Chloroform now rarely spawn in hospitals. You use it just like a blood bag, and it will knock the person unconscious for 3.5 minutes. You can drag them around, load them into a vehicle, or whatever else sounds fun! Vehicle flipping. You can now flip any vehicle over that has been flipped (despite it being unrealistic for cars/trucks, the whole reason this feature is really necessary is because of how buggy things can get in the first place). Just use the scroll action menu on a flipped ATV or what not and flip it back over. Vehicle inspection. Shows up during the same situations "Save Vehicle" does. Pops up an interface with any and all damaged parts (0% meaning destroyed) as well as the vehicle general health. I would advise ignoring the in-vehicle HUD for anything but gas, as this new interface is substantially more granular and helpful. No more chopper leaks because now you'll know exactly what needs fixing! Crowbars can be "tool belted" just like hatchets. Yay! Tents can no longer be placed in or near buildings. They must also be placed on grass or forest (not, for example, concrete) Zombies can now hear weapons fire 15% further than in regular DayZ 1st person is now enforced while inside of any vehicle (both for the survival experience improvement and to make locating tents/camps from vehicles more difficult) If you have a "Box of Matches", you can set tents on fire. This destroys their contents and deletes them from the database so they don't return on restart. [ Chernarus Changes (ChernarusRedux) ] This is a modification of Chernarus to make more towns worthy of being visited and not just bypassed. This will be done by adding enterable buildings to most towns that have none or a severe lack of them. The following towns/areas have at least their initial preview/test of ChernarusRedux changes live: Kamenka (more residential, more industrial, a supermarket, and two military tents off in the field west of Kamenka) North East Airfield (one barracks, fire station, two more hangars, a single medical tent, and a few other flavor items) [ Backpack Changes ] You no longer spawn with a backpack of any kind. Backpack spawns rates adjusted to be in line with smaller backpacks being more common and larger ones being more rare. Residential spawn backpacks are now: Czech Vest Pouch (6), Patrol Pack (8), Assault Pack (12) Military spawn backpacks are now: Czech Backpack (16), ALICE pack (20), Coyote backpack (24) [ General Loot Changes ] Loot piles across the board are slightly more rare, with some areas having trash/general piles have a higher chance of spawning. Generally, good stuff is more rare. The loot spawning mechanics have been adjusted slightly to hopefully spawn a bit more intuitively and require less attempting to "game the system" just to get loot. You are rewarded for NOT loot cycling/loot piling buildings by making chances for new loot piles more likely next cycle if you leave loot piles alone that you don't want. Loot (and zombies) spawn even if you're in a vehicle, negating the "park'n'walk" requirement for getting loot. Cat wire and Hedgehogs removed from game. Their consistent use of "griefing buildings" with inability to affect zombie pathing made them unattractive. Sand bags remain. Both existing ammo boxes have been removed and replaced with a 10x STANAG, 10x AK, 10x AKM ammo box The "Map" no longer spawns by its lonesome, but with other general loot around it just like all of the other tools. GPS removed from military loot (only spawns in barracks/heli crashes now) Ghillie/Cammo removed from residential loot (only spawns in military/barracks/heli crashes now) Assorted loot piles now spawn with 1 less item (3 instead of 5). [ Helicopter Crash Changes ] Helicopter crashes no longer spawn instantaneously on server start. They are randomly spawned at random times during the "life" of the server (the time until its next automated restart). This means nobody can instantly farm them if they play during restart hours, and there is no period in time that is more advantageous than another to look for them. I won't reveal the specifics of how this works and how many helis per life cycle spawn. Helicopter crashes now spawn 3-4 loot piles each versus the 4-7 in vanilla DayZ. Helicopter crash smoke removed (made it way too easy to spot them) "Good Heli Crash Loot" is more rare, with military/medical supplies/ammo boxes being a bit more common. Rangefinders, GPS, M4A1 Holo, M16A4 ACOG, AK107 PSO, and M24 added to loot table. [ Weapon Spawn Changes ] All weapons now spawn with 1-2 mags instead of 0-3 in vanilla. Helicopter crash weapons are an exception and always spawn with 2-3 mags. All sniper rifles removed EXCEPT for the CZ550 and the M24. The CZ550 now only spawns in Deer Stands and the M24 only with helicopter crashes. Both are very rare. Ammo for these rifles does NOT spawn organically in the game and you only get what you find with the gun itself. All silenced weapons removed EXCEPT for the M9 SD and MP5 SD. Both spawn only at helicopter crashes. Both are very rare. Ammo for these weapons does NOT spawn organically in the game and you only get what you find with the gun itself. One LMG removed (M240), the rest (Mk48 Mod 0 and M249) now only spawn at helicopter crashes. Ammo for these guns does NOT spawn organically in the game and you only get what you find with the gun itself. Some rifles just flat out removed: FN FAL AN/PVS-4 and L85A2 AWS Added one rifle: AKS 107 PSO (the closest analog I can explain it as would be like the AK version of the M16A4 ACOG) All weapons with optics moved to Barracks and/or Heli Crash loot only. For regular military spawns, you will only ever get iron sight rifles. This means the M4A1 CCO, M4A3 CCO, and AKS 74 Kobra are now barracks only loot. Lee Enfield and Winchester removed from residential loot. Farm Only. M136 replaced with RPG7V [ Zombies Changes ] Zombie density should be slightly higher and therefore cause zombies to become that much more of a nuisance more quickly. Zombies will still spawn even if you're in a vehicle. [ Vehicle Changes ] Getting in or out of a vehicle auto-saves everything about it Adjusting gear contents of a vehicle or tent auto-saves it (Prevents duping) Vehicles now save upon taking damage and take proper damage (no insta-repair on getting out/in; some situations still need fixing though) Ability to flip vehicles right side up When repairing a vehicle, the selectable parts in the action menu to repair are now limited to parts that actually have at least 1 point of damage. Pristine (100% health) parts will not show up. A toolbox is now required to repair any vehicle. As a result, toolboxes are slightly more common. The intent is just to make sure you have to go look for a toolbox. It's not intended to bottleneck things and make toolboxes the NVGs of vehicles. [ New Vehicles] MH-6J (non-combat 6-seater littlebird; flares removed since they can destroy buildings (what the heck, arma?)) HMMWV Ambulance added. The closest analog to it would be a UAZ. Vodnik MedEvac added. The closest analog is an armored Ural/V3S that's amphibious. 1 per server. Old Moto added. Identical to the existing motorcycles, just looks different. GAZ Limo. Identical to the existing GAZ, just has a snazzy black paint job. HMMWV added. [ Miscellaneous ] Switching skins now properly remembers your chosen weapon vs. switching to the first 'weapon' item you ever obtained Picking up a "weapon" form of a crowbar/axe no longer switches you to the first 'weapon' item you ever obtained Debug Menu removed entirely from game. Not even a toggle.   9. Update* As a launch to my new server i am making the custom load out a little more fun to get more people to join. Every week i will change the load out until we find one that suits the server. This week it consists of:Coyote backpack | M4A1 AIM SD CAMO | Glock | and plenty of food and water! Still plenty of vehicles and other stuff come check it out!
  10. Hello there, my name is Patrick. I've played DayZ for a LONG time now, and over the recent months have played with several people. Most of them get tired of DayZ, but I never have and never will. I prefer to play on the public chenarus hive, but am happy to play on any other maps. My character on chenarus is geared very well and ready to go. Ideally, I'm looking for a UK clan with mature and tactical players, whilst I want to play properly with a skilled group of people, I am also a good persn socially and always willing for bit of fun. I am willing to join a teamspeak, community or Skype call to say hello, just reply back here If anyone is interested. As for skill, if you're wondering, I have a lot of experience and know how, I can operate vehicles well, and know how to fly the chopper. I have also been exposed to a lot of PVP, so I can look after myself. I look forward to seeing any responses.
  11. Bear Grylls Ultimate Survival Server has just been launched. IP: 5.153.13.115 Port: 3068 It operates on a private Hive with over 100 vehicles in it. There are additional spawnpoints for vehicles aswell as new vehicles previously not available on the chernarus map. The server is administrated by several fair & trustworthy admins, striveing for a fun & fair environment for all to play in. Currently the server is operating on always daylight mode but once we have our website up and running will be adding schedualed periods of night time to add variety to the gameplay on our server. Third Person, Crosshairs & Death Messages are all on the server. In the future we are looking to organise events on the server aswell as scenarios to keep things interesting. We welcome players oh all sorts, be it Bambis, Carbears ,Bandits or Clans. All are welcome as long as they follow these simple rules: Rules: 1. No hacking/cheating/glitching 2. No keeping vehicles or tents outside the map (They will be deleted without warning) 3. No Racism or overtly abussive chat 4. No Spamming 5.   12. My friends and I have got a truck and are looking for some people who are willing to join up with us today (and maybe some other days) in a specific DE Server to search for good weapons and vehicles. Give me a heads up ASAP if you are interested.
  13. Hey folks! Im Wynne, one of the Admins for a relatively new Private Hive - US 901 Whitelist - and we are looking for alot more players to join our server and our community! Our community has been around for some time, and have hosted many servers in the past, but this is the first Private Hive we have hosted so far, and from what I can tell, its going great! The server is based in the US but a fair few of our players, including myself are based in the UK, and the pings are still very low. We can offer you constant protection of your hard earned gear/vehicles etc with our Gotcha anti-hacks system that automatically bans hackers, and if they somehow managed to get past that, rollbacks are always in place to restore everything to the way it was before, so your possessions are always safe! Server is also Whitelisted, so chances of hackers getting into the server in the first place are even smaller. Current custom features of US 901: 24 hour daytime(Poll is currently up so this could change). 300+ possible vehicles at one time throughout Chernarus! Side chat is enabled. Server restarts every 6 hours. Custom vehicle wrecks and Care Packages with loot varying between tins cans and military grade loot! Kill Messages so you can see who killed who and with what(This could change). Standard features: Server is currently patch 1.7.4.4(Always updated to the lastest Day Z patch). Third person is enabled. Tracers is disabled. Nameplates are disabled. Crosshairs are disabled. Whitelist instructions: It's very simple and easy, and takes no more than 2 minutes. Simply visit here http://team-rogue.info/ - Create an account, and copy the small whitelist template and fill it in, myself and others are always checking the forums so having your whitelist application accepted and allowed into the server should take no time at all! We also do little events, such as moving a helicopter loaded with high end loot and place it in certain location, give out the coordinates to the server and watch as they all fight to the death! Or something like that anyway.. These type of events will obviously grow and expand as the number of people on the server does the same, so the more that join, the more fun we have! We are also looking into base building currently aswell, just to make your secret camps even more pimped! And extra buildings are being put in at boring locations(Kamenka comes to mind) to make them more appealing to loot, so theres more places worth going too! We are always looking to add more cool things in to improve the gameplay of everyone in our community and server, so if you're looking for a server that has very-little to no hacking activity, lots of custom features and active admins, then come try us out!

This was a major update some of you may notice that your saved variables within the configuration files have now been removed, please re-enter all variables and install your mod as you would normally. There was a Battleye config hack specific to gaining access to rcon on your server, To get around this we've changed the way in which Battleye config saving works. This is a completely random naming section, meaning no player can just gather your rcon password from your service id. (Flood control) Create Schedules of various sorts. motd's. events etc. DayZ Anti Hax DayZ Anti-Hax is a very simple server-side console application for automatically banning hackers from a DayZ server. Utilizing some of the new features first introduced with the latest BattlEye update (v1.158) and ArmA 2 OA beta patch 95883, DayZ Anti-Hax parses server logs for only the most obvious hacker behavior and adds those deemed nefarious to the server's ban list. When used in combination with Battleye Extended Controls, which can automatically reload a server's ban list while it is running, this is a completely automated solution that requires little to no maintenance, making DayZ Anti-Hax an extremely useful tool when used in combination with good 'ol fashion manual log combing.     Custom Vehicle Skins... Please Help

    The info is downloaded in the mission file when you log into the server, i have seen a couple clans with custom skin vehicles on their own servers. Yes Morgan we even double checked that but Zabn copied what he made directly to the server.... It spawns fine exactly where it's meant to, just no skin :(

  18. If anyone is interested, here are the fixed vehicle sql's i have made for the Taviana EU version. All vehicles now spawn, planes spawn in hangers and also tweaked the spawn chance on some of these I have also added Police cars around the towns, as you would expect to see a few. They are packing a shotgun in the back ;-) Just import them into the relevant locations Please note: Your instance_vehicle table will more than likely at present, have quite a few vehicles in it that are not correctly supported, meaning they arnt showing in game, or were only compatible with the .com version So i would delete all the vehicles from there, import my SQL's into the correct locations and then use your spawn button on your dayz.st control panel. This will then spawn them for you :D Ive emailed Ersan to see if he wants to use this, but in the meantime anyone who is interested here are the files http://wtrns.fr/ZL8rfLXiIefwXM
  19. I have almost finished the vehicles for the EU version, made it a little different so planes are in hangers and choppers are harder to get by being on the smaller islands. Most of the land vehicles were find, but moved a few spawn locations of vehicles into garages attached to houses. Also added Police cars to random spawn as you would expect to see a few around

    Why not just create a mission in the editor and place all the vehicles for you to try. Or just go to Armex. Easier to get hands on experience then. Also if you have flown for as long as me you have to at least try a barrel roll in a huey, its a laugh.

    Ya sorry if I don't have the guns but we are getting some more vehicles so maybe we will run into them along the way or something either way we have been soon this all wire fast only about3 of us and we got this in less than a week. Ill let you know if I got my hands on some of those.
  22. 1. You can manually refuel vehicles at the moment using the database, even though it wouldn't be as easy a control panel fix it is possible to do. 2. When we have FTP access we should be able to change all the helicopter loot tables, as I want this to be able to add RMOD weapons. 3. You can add buildings by using the 3D editor and using the following tool to import them into the database. http://dayz.wofjwof.com/map.php The tool importer is broken at present and will miss out parts of walls and other items, it did work perfectly though about a week ago so hopefully it is fixed again very soon.
  23. The ability to find and fix military vehicles (such as a Humvee or an APC). Even though it would be fun to drive through Cherno destroying every scrub I see, once a clan gets their hands on one, goodbye fun.
  24. actually I believe it is the admin doing to be honest I had reported them recently myself, battleeye admins may want to look closely into this one and into 4247 as well, there is an exploit with the rcon where you can set up a tent or sand bag then turn it into a wall, which is obviously what I had seen near electro in 3305 and in the NE airport tonight in 4247, i mean on a private server this i would assume is no big deal, but on an official server? I think should be inexcuseable, teleporting by the admin on a rcon is a big abused power on 3305 as well, players and vehicles. at the very least they should be knocked off the official list.

This server will never claim to be hacker/scripter free because we know that to be absolutely impossible. Though we will ask one to come in and move boats that are placed inside buildings by players when needed. Future works: side chat (without voice), team logos, fun theme days, map change weeks or weekends. These are all driven by players requests and discussions.
