I've been on BMRF for 4 or 5 months now-- I mainly play on BMRF #3, mess about on Taviana or Namalsk when there's a server going for them, and recently I've been having some fun on the public server as a means of helping to populate it. I go by the name McJunk in-game. In short, BMRF is a godsend to the Day Z community. It has been such a presence, that I have often said (as have my friends that I have recruited to play with me here) I would simply stop playing Day Z entirely if for some reason BMRF stopped existing. I wouldn't even miss it. Because nothing else out there-- not a single server or group-- comes close to the BMRF experience. In five months I have been a victim of hacking a whopping ZERO times. When I've messed around on random public servers to see if I can try out some choppers or planes as a means of practice, it usually takes me less than five minutes to get hacked. If I find an empty server, as soon as it gets to "two" people, I get hacked. That's just how this game works-- hackers are everywhere. But they aren't on BMRF. BMRF is not for the casual player. Well actually, you CAN be a casual player and LOVE BMRF. It is not, however, for people that just want to hop on with some OP weapons at the start and start spray and praying around Cherno, Elektro, or Berezino. When clans come together and start hoarding things ( a rarity), the community tends to step up and band together to remove the threat-- legally, of course. Chernarus is customized with some subtle, yet important map changes that enable different parts of the map to attract people to them. This takes away the clutter, somewhat, that is usually found in the southernmost cities. It gives you a chance to tactically and strategically play the game-- the way it was meant to be played. You feel like you have something to protect, and you will adjust your gameplay style accordingly. It's just how it is. Variety on BMRF is second to none. If you DO want to just hop on and start shooting things, there are multiple options for wasteland games. If you aren't much of a fan of nightime, or you lack NV goggles, there is usually a 24/7 day server that isn't populated to the brim, or there's always the public server which has a crazy amount of vehicles and choppers to enable some fun in a low pop, 24/7 daytime environment. If you want to try the "hardcore" experience of first-person only, you have that option as well. Mods run a tight ship in side, but so long as you don't abuse the rules, you're golden. And the rules aren't even difficult to follow. They enable your experience to be as peaceful as possible when you aren't talking to someone in direct chat, and they allow you to immerse yourself or get lost in the game if that's how you like to play. Personally, I am a woods-crawler, so the fact that I don't have to listen to moronic chatter all day is a blessing. To wrap this up, once you play at BMRF, you'll never even consider something else. This might sound harsh, but if BMRF is not for you, then you aren't the type of player the servers need anyway (I'm not talking about your ability to kill people). If you're looking to find unlimited amounts of the best stuff in the game within minute, crosshairs and nametags, and chopper everywhere for you to use-- this isn't the place. And it shouldn't be how this game gets played. If you come to BMRF, prepare to be a part of the best community there is-- from the hardcore to the casual, you'll love every minute. Even if you're dead. -
So where at that point again with the mod and would like to get a few more players involved in testing. All testing will be done under DayZ condition's on a private hive(official char data wont be effected) with the same limits of vehicles you would expect to find on all official DayZ servers. Drop me a pm or add me on Skype - R4Z0R49 (Skype would be best). Thanks

Watching main roads where vehicles drive by. I must have either a satchel or LMG and I can take out any vehicle passing. I'll sit there and wait hours. If I get bored with that, Stary is pretty easy. I tend to kill more people camping it then looting it.

Hey there survivors, bambis, snipers, gunners and bandits! Our clan has one of the baddest Taviana servers out there! A lot of guys claim they got the goods but our stuff actually works! What we got: 1. In game base building with automated gates and explosives that saves even after restart! 2. Lift and Tow. 3. Fast rope that actually works (some guys list they have it but it doesnt work). 4. NPC (AI) guarding major cities, airports, and custom loot spots as well as roaming the map. 5. Automated AI controlled UH1H's (non hostile) that fly around and you can shoot em down to create a Heli Crash loot site. 6. Self blood with a 50% infection chance. 7. Custom Wardrobe in scroll menu. 8. 350+ vehicles, and tons of things to fly! 9. Custom military establishments 10. A mumble server for voice (may switch to Team Speak soon) 11. Clan forum for updates, suggestions, etc. 12. Very active admins but only the server owner (myself) has access to admin map. 13. Added Halo Jump! 14. Added headshot only to kill zeds! Hey kids!!....We have added a few more things now! 15.refugee camps with awesome gear! 16.One of a kind portable ladder for getting out of tough spots or getting to those hard to reach places! Come join us!!! 17. Just added a TS3 server for voice coms! 18. By popular demand we have added Parts removal back to the server! And again some more! Along with adding a good consistent group of players we also added: 19. Smelting 20. Zombie shield machine 21. Zombie bait and exploding zombie bait In the process of adding an extra island and aircraft carrier. SBC is also looking into an additional server. We are getting tons of donators who are getting custom loadouts, special spawns for vehicles, and more. Dont be late! ..........and more to come!........... Server was down for a while for all the modding so our player base is only averaging about 10 players at a time. PVP or team work is welcome, so come help us grow! Our player base is growing and im seeing bases popping up all over! Server IP: 50.97.49.68:3153

Hi. So I've got an idea for a basic exposition in a series of 5-10 minute videos I want to make, short quips of comedy or tragedy (depending on who signs up and what we can figure out) that revolve around a survivor new to the apocalypse being harassed by bandits and zombies. It doesn't sound too original, I know, but I promise it'll be fanfreakingtastic if enough people want in. The only requirements: Either be on the east US/Canadian coast, west Europe, or be willing to deal with ping/timezone problems Have a microphone Know what the hell you're doing Follow instructions Unless someone else would like to do it, I'm going to host the server. For the sake of recording, required weapons/vehicles/equipment/buildings/zombies will be spawned in. The database will be different from the Applejaxc private hive (so the players on the real server won't deal with too many cars/weapons spawned in, and actors won't be running around the real server with free cars and machine guns). Don't worry about getting a BattlEYE ban; I've got it all set up. Application: Name (first) In-game name Character name/short bio/skin/favorite gear (bandit or hero? sniper or rifleman?) Age Remember that a large component to the application process is grammar; if u rite sumthing lik this u wont b acepteded. ----I've only got the exposition really figured out. The rest of the story will be decided over Skype/Steam/In-game chat and voting for whoever comes up with the best plot elements. I'm just the director and (maybe) main character; anyone that isn't an idiot can be the writer---

Going to be making sniper rifles near impossible to find.Later tonight. Enjoy DayZ at its finest with no lag and framerate issues I am getting easily over 70 FPS. Probably due to running it on DayZpriv and not Dayz.st. Come check it out and grab your vehicles now. -
I have been out of the loop with Day Z and its Development for a few months now, just waiting patiently like a good boy. I must say that I'm disappointed in the lack of content from the Development crew. Disclaimer: My opinions are my opinions, and I do not have fan boy status so if those opinions are against the development team, so be it. All right, so there has been a flood of standalone leaks from people whom I'm assuming were able to get some copies of the build. Now I'm aware this is "alpha" and not the completed polished version, but I was expecting a lot more. Breakdown; a ton of glitches, bad optimization even without zombies or weapons being used. Monotonous loot and gear. Seriously how many motorcycle helmets and hoodies can there be at every wreck? There may be limited content in these builds so I won't harp on that too much, but I seriously hope the initial release has a bundle of content to not get extremely dull quickly. Just from what I've read and heard about they are stripping most weapons and all vehicles from the game, leaving very few things so I am hoping they are in turn adding a lot more variety of items to interact with instead. Zombies look really bad. I am reminded by War Z zombies when I look at them. Day Z Mod zombies were better at this point... and every time I see the zombie animations it's nearly always the same one (The one where Rocket was moCapping like he had a broomstick shoved up his...) yeah... I'm sure that the new skeleton hasn't been applied but even still I'm so far not impressed. They are also incredibly glitchy (falling through the ground, etc) and honestly I think being glitchy is just a part of Bohemia. There's a reason why it's patching 3+ years still after Arma II's release. I commend them for keeping up the support for their games where most companies toss support out the window as soon as the game launches, but there seriously needs to be some better quality assurance checks in gaming in general. Delays and Public Relations seem to go hand in hand. While I'm not going to go into delays too much but it does seem that the development team does way too much PR. PAX? E3? When I think of E3 I think of trailers and some short polished demos of games. I don't even think this game deserves to be at such events if it wasn't for the fanbase and the popularity that brought the game. The game is still a slightly improved version of the mod. You can change a few internal aspects of the game but it's still more or less the mod and Arma II. My words to Rocket and Matt are to stop doing PR and instead use that time and resources to focus on the game. There will be plenty of time for travelling and getting praise from the gaming world once released. I felt really good about the development blogs and just keeping the fans, who made this game as popular as it is, in touch with the development but all this premature PR is simply not needed. This looks, feels, and smells like... Arma II and as expected quite honestly. That's not necessarily a bad thing as long as cheating and scripting are basically a thing of the past, and of course tons of content. I know, I know... This isn't Arma II, it's... Arma II with Take on Helicopters with a Dash of Arma III... Except Take on Helicopters is pretty identical to Arma II anyway. I'd really like to see Day Z take its own approach. I'm tired of seeing the door open icon, or the loot/gear icon, and basically the same UI. Add something fresh and fluid. Conclusion I'm willing to let those opinions go though, and not because "it's alpha" as many people will immediately use as their default excuse, but just because I hope that they will do better than this. I still do not see this game being released to the masses anytime soon. These are again, my thoughts, and you're welcome to agree or disagree but I am interested in what the community has to say in regards to the wave of leaked footage and progress of the game. Only constructive feedback please I don't really want to hear the fanboys screaming that I'm impatient, whining, or excuses that this is only pre-alpha as pretty typical responses when you're not bowing in praise. If you disagree with something then you can make that known but again these are my opinions and I'm interested in yours.

*GUIDE* What You Need To Head North! (list / description of items)
carbine781 (DayZ) posted a topic in New Player Discussion
Hello. In DayZ, hanging around on the coast is always fun, but the real fun memories come in the north. However, in order to go up north, you need the proper supplies not only to survive, but to even get up north. I've played DayZ for almost one year now. I've headed up north a lot, flown a helicopter, camped out with friends late at night, etc. Here is what i have learned over my year of experience, and hopefully this will teach you a lot. You may be wondering however, why go up north? First, the north is home to many places, such as Stary Sobor, various castles, and 2 airfields. All of the best gear can be found up north. You can also find a lot more vehicles in the north. The north is also home to mysterious helicopter crash sights. To sum it up, the north has a lot of points of interests, better gear, and brings the best memories. Ok, Heres my list Do note, that you don't need to get the exact ammounts, and these may be slightly exaggerated for some people. Experiment. This strategy is used so you don't have to go to Stary Sobor, a high traffic city in the North. 1. A PRIMARY WEAPON This is a given. In a world filled with zombies and bandits, you need to be able to protect yourself. Some good common weapons are the Lee Enfield and The Winchester 1866. A few common weapons that I do not recommend are: The X-Bow, Double barreled shotgun, crowbars, and hatchets (Keep hatchets as a tool, not as a primary weapon, but we'll get into that later). You can find weapons in residential areas. *QUICK TIP* Look in fire stations. They are the homes to low grade military weapons. Find the weapon that you like the best, and of course, don't forget ammunition. 2. A SECONDARY WEAPON (OPTIONAL) You actually do not need a secondary weapon if you want to head up north. Secondary Weapons are mostly used for killing zombies. That being said, if you come across one, take it. You can find these in residential areas as well. 3. A BIGGER BACKPACK You need a backpack to store items, from it being food to weapons you find at a crashed helicopter. You start out with a coyote patrol pack, but it only has 8 storage slots. I don't recommend a backpack with less than 16 slots. You can find backpacks in resedential areas. Here is a list of backpacks you can find: Patrol Pack (coyote)-8 Czech Vest Pouch-12 Assault Pack (ACU)-12 Survival (ACU)-16 Alice Pack-16 British Assault Pack-18 Czech Backpack-24 Coyote Backpack (not to be confused with the Patrol Pack)-24 4. FOOD AND WATER Simple, you need food and water to survive. I wouldn't recommend going north without 4 cans of food and 5 drinks. If you find water bottles, keep them, as you can refill them in lakes. Also, you can go with only 3 cans if you have the materials to be able to hunt and eat animals (Next section). You can find food and water in supermarkets and just any residential area. Store most of your food and water in your backpack, but keep some in your main inventory just incase you don't have time to pull them out of your backpack. 5. PROPER HUNTING MATERIALS (Optional, but highly recommended) In order to hunt wildlife that you see, you will need: A weapon (to kill an animal), a hunting knife (so you can gut an animal), a Hatchet (to make firewood), and matches (to light your firewood on fire so you can cook your meat.). I do recommend eating steaks that you get from animals more than canned food, as you get 800 blood back per steak. You can hatchets in industrial / farm areas, and hunting knifes and matches in residential areas. Here is a diagram of the amount of meat you get per animal: Rabbit-1 meat-800 blood Chicken-1 meat-800 blood Goat-3 meat-2400 blood Boar-4 meat-3200 blood Sheep-5 meat-4000 blood Cow-8 meat-6400 blood 6. MEDICAL SUPPLIES There are currently 7 types of medical supplies: Bandages (stop bleeding), Morphine (fix broken legs), BloodBags (completely refill your blood aka your health), Painkillers (Stop pain / shakiness when you are injured), Epi-pens (revive knocked out survivors), Heat packs (Warm you up), and Antibiotics (Cure infections). Don't go north without atleast 3 bandages, 3 morphines, 1-2 bloodbags, 3 painkillers, 1 epipen (optional), and 2-3 antibiotics. Heat packs are optional. You can heat yourself up by sitting near a fire. You can find these supplies in hospitals. *QUICK TIP* You need somebody else to give you a blood transfusion, so blood bags aren't useful when you are playing by yourself. Instead, find an animal and kill / gut it. Each steak = 800 blood. 7. NAVIGATIONAL SUPPLIES In order to get somewhere North, you will need to be able to navigate. These are important if you want to go somewhere specific. There are many supplies, but the most common are Maps And Compasses. Don't go north without one map and one compass. If you don't have a map, you can use one you find online (heres a great one: http://dayzdb.com/map). If you find a GPS, keep it! One GPS = A compass and a better map in one. 8. OTHER USEFUL SUPPLIES Finally, there are a few useful supplies that you should keep if you come across them. First, binoculars. If you don't have a weapon with a good scope on it, you will want to use binoculars to see whats far away from you. These become very useful when you are a few hundred meters away from a town and you want to see how many zombies there are in it, etc. If you are planning on playing during the night, bring anything that provides light: Flashlights (you spawn with one), chemlights, flares, or nightvision goggles (rare). These will help when you are roaming throughout the night. Also, if you find clothing packages, be sure to pick them up! Ghillie suits and Camo clothing can really come in handy. If you find civilian clothing however, ignore it. The final thing i want to talk about is toiletries. The DayZ team added toilet paper and razor blades (for shaving) to the game. However, you can't use them yet. In DayZ Standalone however, they will probably play a big role, so you may want to bring these north in the future. I'll update the list once standalone comes out. Thats it! Hope the list was helpful! If i forgot anything, please tell me. If you have any questions or concerns, please tell me too. Thanks for reading! Please check out my other posts and give me your beans if you like this! *Schematics used from DayZ Wiki: http://dayz.gamepedia.com -
My top 3 wishlist for the DayZ Standalone development and release.
Rage VG posted a topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Not a "what I want in the game" thread, there's enough of those. Just what I wish for not just rocket and the team, but for server hosters, admins, and the community in general to consider during, and after, development. 3. Let us have freedom of choice. This was something I touched on with Rocket during the Cross-hair removal thread. If there is nothing excessively negative to having something within the game, but still feel the authentic experience would be better without it, then give us the option to turn it on or off. If, for example, you think the game is better with no HUD, then go ahead and remove it as default. Then allow whoever wants it on to turn it on as a setting. The people who agree with your change will turn it off and be happy, and whoever dislike the change can enable it. Anybody who feels they can dictate how other people should play then they are entitled gits who do not deserve the time of day. Which is where the community ties in. Don't berate people for not playing your style, whether it be KoS or Medic, 9001+ vehicles and custom loadouts or super mega hardcore with no starting gear, Allow people to pick what they like, as they are allowing you. That is the beauty of the game, and if you try to dictate other people, you ruin that beauty. With relation to crosshair removal, a valid point was brought across for its complete removal and that's fine. In that situation it's entirely valid to remove the feature. 2. Do not allow a second CBL. This should be obvious. The CBL was a good idea that went horribly. As a result, there are innocent people who cannot play on servers due to salty admins without them even knowing, and nothing can be done about it. Devs, do not allow such a thing to exist unofficially. If you do, be prepared to clean it up if it fails. Server owners, do not rely on a dodgy system, you have word of mouth. That's what the cheat report forum is for. 1. Optimisation. This one is pretty much only aimed at the Dev team. For the love of god, please make sure I don't have to drop an additional grand on a supercomputer solely to play DayZ. I know my laptop is far from a beasty machine but it still cost me helluvalot and it sucks that I don't get to enjoy the game with the community I love so much. As for server admins, on a lesser scale, stop making me listen to your damn music every time I try to load up your server. Not only does it probably suck for me to listen to at full volume with no way of muting or lowering it, but given the aforementioned lag problem, it jumps nonstop, making it worse. I'm fairly sure that we can all agree on these. If not, you are clearly a Nazi. Clearly. -
Hey guys, my friends and I recently started up a private hive to bring back that original DayZ we all know and love. It is called Moonman's Vanilla DayZ Private Hive. Recently we have noticed a lot of servers lately have just been flooded with vehicles, weapon stashes, and weird game modes. We just want to get back to the roots of DayZ, with a few minor tweaks (Vanilla with Sprinkles) Tweaks * A few extra vehicles, not a ton. * Can fill up vehicles at gas stations using scroll wheel * Full moons and street lights at night (we enjoy the nighttime aspect of the game, and feel it is strongly overlooked. This makes it fun and easier to see at night without NVGs) We basically just added a few minor tweaks that we feel will give the game a more positive experience all around. Server Info * IP: 173.192.70.135 * Port: 3017 * Can also find the server by searching "Moonman" in the filter. The server has been up for only a couple days now, and has regular restarts every 6 hours with multiple warnings beforehand. We are currently trying to build a stable population, so we appreciate your playing there. We hope to see you on the server in the future, and make sure to invite your friends. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Possible new buildings; serving more purpose.(Standalone)
TIC posted a topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Hi guys, I would like to present some buildings that could be helpful into(maybe Chernarus) I would like to see things such as.. (Images displayed in links are examples to prove a clarification to my definition as a support) Inspirations; Dawn of the Dead, Dead Rising, Resident Evil series. Confirmed by Dean Hall! Shopping Malls; It's one or more buildings that forms a complex full of stores and shops that offer walkways, stairs and escalators for people to walk with ease. Here's how it could work out..Main place for supplies and equipment; only downside is that due to it's popularity, it'll host more zombies(I mean, a lot more) so it wouldn't be a walk in the park.Size should be a consideration of a mall. Larger the better as it'd serve a better purpose.Adding some type of interior designs such as these; Interior(With Zombies)Police Stations; There had to be law enforcement in every cities right? Why not have this become a part of the Standalone? Additional firearms and gadgets like hand-cuffs/batons(even confiscated from criminals) can be found through file cabinets, armories and so forth.Police uniforms which provide more urban 'camouflage' to the city environments and some protection.Police vehicles in garages(most likely empty or damaged but can be fixed)Items available such as city maps and consumables.More Stores than supermarkets; Tired of seeing supermarkets as the only stores available? How about clothing, restaurants, gun shops(maybe) and such. Offers more variety in towns when you are in seek of things you pursue for survival.Adds in more civilian grade equipment instead of military taking the spotlight.Possibility of adding car dealerships, hardware stores, newsstands and drug stores.More open land farms; We all know that Old Macdonald had a farm before the apocalypse so what can we expect to see after it? Lifestock still alive or even crops maintained from weather conditions possibly? Possibility of horse stables which can house several horses(not kept)Lifestock such as cows, goats, chickens, pigs available.Plants/trees which could host fruits/vegetables and even beans! :beans: That can be found depending on the condition such as being covered with diseases and other threats to crops; which could reflect from the weather conditions over time. Useful for foraging. If you guys can improve on this idea or share your thoughts, please post your responses below. Hey guys, TIC here. I always wondered if we'll see something new for zombies besides their animation for the Standalone. Here's what I wanted to see. Confirmed for release: *Zombie Children(floating idea)/Women; more variety of zombies. *Different animations+New Skeleton. *Attributes for zombies depending how long they been around for. *Better pathfinding(Less ZigZag)+running indoors. *More terrifying. *More zombies on each server. *Zombies will be server side(Not Client) to improve performance on PC's. *Backstory by notes in areas to know the plot of DayZ. Zombies Add Zombie variations; missing limbs, pretending to be dead, being bloated if they are in water/eaten something for some time. Attributes; Possibility of increased hearing senses at night but decreased vision and act more aggressively. Random hordes roaming in areas such as large cities; dense forests and such. EXAMPLE (could be used as a random event.)An option to attack animals and eating their corpse. Can eat the animal's meat but can be fatally infectious.Zombies in the dark could also go to the direction the sound is coming from but not follow you unless they still hear you in some way.Add that they could be able to break down doors or chain linked fences with large hordes which we could also add that we can reinforce doors or cover windows.Improving the distraction for zombies like throwing empty cans.Burning/burying bodies to eliminate diseases from rotting corpses which could harm lakes for drinking. If a player is unconcious, zombies could disembowel or consume the player which could be very fatal.Possibility of more blood + gore(optional)Zombies could attract flies; similar to dead, rotting corpses.Higher chances of infection; dead corpses carry thousands of different diseases.Higher damage resistance from firearms in torso, groin and limbs.Zombies can be caught on fire but making them more dangerous. Can spawn in some buildings.Remove The abilities for zombies climbing ladders, swimming, opening doors.No-Clipping into walls.Zombies not seeing you in thick bushes/trees. Environment The environment in the Standalone should demonstrate on what happened from the zombie apocalypse. We should be able to see these.. Examples include; Resident Evil's Raccoon City, http://images2.wikia...coonCityRPD.png http://360gamercast....012/03/look.jpg https://encrypted-tb...9vaXEKFQhqP1ZNg (Removed NPC soldiers concept. Sorry!) -Jammed traffic on roads/highways from a possible evacuation. -Military checkpoints/camps. -Buildings damaged from vehicle collisions and dead bodies inside them too. -Broken windows+bullet holes on walls for decoration. -Better night life, able to see shooting stars and galaxies which could help navigate and for beauty. -Almost complete silence except for noises made by players and ambient music. -Seeing darker clouds which could produce rainfall, making it better to predict where it is instead of random rain appearing. Rare food and fuel/jerrycans, but commonplace broken to all fuck vehicles? You've got my attention, Tell you what. It's too damn easy to just "survive" and make it by right now, you can stockpile way too damn easy. The only reason to be a bandit is to be a dick right now, Not to get their supplies after your victim has finished a nice town raid. Also, Only one in three jerrycans should be full of fuel, because holy damn, come on man, who just leaves a full can laying around in this trash littered apocalypse.
-
That would be pretty neat. As for the "binging" sound, I don't think any cars will have that. People are driving old rustbuckes in this place, not band new vehicles. The only vehicle I can see this happening in, is the SUV. And if someone had that feature, what's to stop them from just cutting the wires?
-
Maybe 1 or 2 scrapyards where all kinds of car/bike parts can be found, there could be randomized stacks of scrapped vehicles from which parts may be salvaged. It would add another location of interest and in rl every large town has at least one. Edit - for parts to be salvaged from a stacked vehicle maybe players need to get it down from the stack or remove any that are on top of it, in which case they could add forklift trucks or those cranes with the huge claw or magnet to the game, possibilities for lulz are obvious. Edit - 2. Vehicle compactor,, and maybe some kind of trolleys or pump trucks to wheel heavy parts back to a stricken vehicle, it always feels odd to me having an engine, 2 car wheels and a main rotor assembly etc in my backpack as I sprint cross country.

Prepared Assault Event - Open To All - 6th June 8pm (UK/BST)
boxman80 posted a topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Hi folks, just an open invitation to any good people who would like to participate in another of our open events! Last week we had a good turn out (thanks to those who joined in!) and tonight we're hoping for an even better show! BRIEF: We are hosting a series of mini-events between our main seasonal events (Faction Wars- season 3 coming soon!), where buy the players on our server are divieded into three main factions. Private teams and Lone Wolves are also more than welcome to take part. These mini-events are pretty straight forward ! Each week Our factions, Ravens, Scorpions & Jackals, are each being assigned an objective to defend. The other factions and private teams/lone wolves are tasked with assaulting and securing those positions. The team that holds the objective at the end of the event each week wins! To make it more interesting rewards are being offered in conjunction with other ongoing events (Bounty HunterZ & Faction Wars) in the form of "Faction Funds" which can tehn inturn be used to purchase various items of kit, ammunition, clothing, vehicles or even weapons from our Faction Shop (on our website). RULES: - A 1 hour "gentlemen's agreement" of cease fire is in affect from 7pm onwards to allow players to gear up and prep in relative safety. - Event starts 8pm Sharp when the objective is marked on the map. - No combat logging. - No 3rd party software, hacks or cheats - All in-game weapons & vehicles are available (if you can find it you can use it!) - No abusive language or flaming - The player or team that controls the objective at 10:30pm will be the winners and get the reward - No kamikazee attacks (using choppers/planes) to destroy the objective or surrounding area - No voice comms in side chat - Lone Wolves and small teams are welcome to team up with any faction at their own risk! - Any disputes will be settled by the server admin (Box). TIME/DATE: 6th June 8pm (UK) 7-8pm 1 hour prep time! SERVER: The BSB Network Chernarus server. Pretty clsoe to vanilla settings - Basic load out (1 makarov, 2 mags, 2 bangages, 1 czech vest), 250ish vehicles, towing/heli lifitng/ AI / NO auto refuel enabled. Some map additions (no barracks in cherno or anthing silly like that!). MUMBLE server also available @ our website http://www.bsbnetwork.com Further details and feedback welcome via our website too! To take part just turn up and play! -
Revamp the damage system PLEASE. For example, as of now, if you fuck up your vehicles engine...it explodes. Ehh, how is this realistic? if you screw up your engine it should stall, and not kaboom. (WELL, small chance of catching on fire, then maybe kaboom) How about making damage have an effect on handling, like say, if you have a damaged hull, you wont be able to drive in a straight line or turn or brake as fast as you normally would. Or if you damage your engine, how about not accelerating as fast, or a lower top speed. Wheels and fuel, i think atm these are fine where they are. Also make it so that damage has a visual indication beyond changing the texture, make it so that things like dents, or structural damage appear. Just my 2 cents.

My top 2 ; Taviana (awesome, large, great for vehicles) Lingor (change of scenery, tropical climate) On mods, Origins (Taviana) is really good if you're into vehicle heavy play and basebuilding capability (houses, garages, etc) despite the shady makers.

There's your issue then :) You're trying to join a server that requires rMod, the errors are because you're not running it. Usually you can still join but any rMod weapons/vehicles will be invisable to you, looks weird seeing others floating in invisable cars  Either use rMod and join that server or find another server without rMod, I'll gladly explain how to use rMod is you want ? rMod 2.1 is the latest and can be found at http://offgaming.us/rmod/download

I look forward to SA very much, but since I found DayZ Origins, I'm not too worried about when it releases exactly. SA won't have vehicles or basebuilding at the start, basically the missing things (at least proper base building) that made me quit vanilla DayZ. Then again, the sooner it enters proper public alpha, I suppose the sooner we'll see vehicles and basebuilding. :)

Calling All Survivors, Dexter Needs A Team! My name is Dexter, I've been playing DayZ for about 3 months now and have been playing on a public server that no one seems to get on except me. :D I have stockades of weapons and transportation up north and a weapon/med supply station on the southern coast for freshly spawned players. In need of a team because playing alone gets a little old and difficult. I need help searching out crash sites, repairing vehicles, savaging medical supplies, and exploring the map. :beans: Must have the following Qualities Mature (no yelling in mic, cursing, etc..) FRIENDLY (No Bandits, game is better with team play.) Able to work as a team Able to share loot DayZ experience is preferred (But i don't mind showing Newbies the ropes. ) Have time to play game usually after 5 or 6 pm till early hours in the morning. (I have insomnia so i barely sleep) Doesn't mind dying and wont make a huge deal about it and quit. (Again, goes with being Mature.) And most importantly.... Able to have fun! If interested, just reply and we'll find a way to get you the server IP address! HAPPY HUNTING!
