Atleast I hope we can get just a bit information about this vehicles thing. I really hate running so much, the map is huge on foot. But can the staff please come with a update or ETA?.. This topic is old, and I think the fans deserve an update :-) -

That would be correct. I'm always interested in what can be done to a game but when i first started arma it seemed like battle eye had stopped all hackers for the longest time. Actually tho as in all games there was the elite few who knew how to do that never shared. Ive found or done many things people didnt know how to or where to find it and never shown it. This includes everything glitches, exploits, cheats, but then you get the people who want to show off how cool they are or rep and they show it off. At first it was just getting guns and vehicles. Now as ive been reading people are doing all kinds of things that ruins everyones fun. there is multiple ways of doing it. The way im figureing peole are doing it is so viral i bet that if i told rocket he would be like " Yea google told me, because its every where! Rocket if you dont know ill send you links. P.s. this isnt extortion but if i show you the stuff will you make my char a female again? i miss her and my friends miss starring at her ass on long runs lol. (._. ) sigh. Like i said ill give one way or the other just hopefull. -
Future "Enjoy your ban" and "You should of known better" posts are going to get deleted. Knock it off, no one knows what weapons/vehicles are in DayZ except the DayZ Staff.

So, I tried to find some vehicles in debug forest and found an apache. Of cause I took it and then I got banned. I didn't create it or something like that. Can you unban me?

But why would they first come up empty except the medical tent, then all but the medical tent disappear, also I have bikes/atvs and cars so I doubt he would not take at least one vehicle, especially with the location of the camp. Along with that I had backpacks in the tents(not just one) and they were all gone. So your telling me one guy took more than one backpack and left vehicles or that a group came and took the backpacks but not the blood bags/vehicles.

1) Sorry dude, but if I have been traveling around the map for 5 hours and am way up north, I should not be respawned at the coast simply because my server is full. Once again, this is punishing a player because an unknown percentage of the population takes advantage of the system. 2) Of course these are exploits that an MMO does not have. We are not locked to one server and because of the fact that servers can only handle small numbers of players at a time, locking people to one server is a bad idea. 3) I play on a few servers as much as possible. If I had a vehicle and was unable to log onto my server, I don’t think I should also loose my position when picking a different place to play. Vehicles being able to move between servers would probably break the back end and create immense balance issues so I agree they should not transfer from server to server. As for tents, I believe they should follow you from server to server. 4) You don’t need to be a camper to shoot a guy with a Makarov as you are heading back north. You are simply putting players with good loot close to players that just spawned. That will not end well. Also, I would be furious if I was forced to spawn along the coast and was immediately killed because the server punishes me for logging onto a server when my preferred server is full. Wouldn’t this just make campers stay closer to the coast more often? Killing and looting well equipped players… If i understand correctly, current 'logging in' system prevents the item/zed spawn from appearing in the vicinity of your location. Meaning if you have logged out in a building with loot, when you spawn in, there will be no loot for that whole building. Lets take it appart piece by piece. I wouldn't view this as a punishment' date=' but as a safeguard. You take it with a grain of salt. If we were to draw a conclusion based on your logic of most are not server hoppers - then most of us would not be affected by this change, as we do not server hop for specific locations Of course they're not, but you are dealing with exploiting that regular MMO would not have, thus the comparison is invalid. You cannot change the servers on MMO's. And if you do 'transfer' the character, you have to transfer in the 'safe zone' anyways. With recent re-introduction of vehicles a lot of players have 'settled down'. Your tents and vehicles dont follow you across servers' date=' so most people already have that one server that is good ping for them, and seem to generally prefer to wait for their server. If anything, i believe OP's idea about the Cherno/Electro campers life being ruined before the 'freshly spawned players'. How comfortable is that camper going to be, if he will know there is a chance that his shot will be heard by the 'high level equipment' wearing people who are in vicinity? With suggestion from Rocket about possible 'spawn without a weapon' you wont be able to engage in PvP right off the bat anyways. As for immunity' date=' also not the best of the concept. If anything was to be done, i would like to see a solution in direction of - a player without a weapon has smaller hitbox. Making it harder to kill that player. Did you see the upcoming patch notes? Includes 5 second timer for logging out ;) Oh it's coming, hehe -

Hacked There are no armed cars The only 2 armed vehicles are both versions of the Huey with either a gatling gun or a M240 -

Look at the map and ask yourself: If I owned a vehicle, where would I hide it so others can't take it? Then go there. I found a stash of no less than 6 vehicles hidden in the forest this way :). Also boats are generally in the water.

Ye I know... I was moving the vehicles and suddenly a guy yells FLY LIKE AN EAGLE and poof, I fall from 100 meters and lose my nvgs and gps's... -
No... the map. Like' date=' in the game. And I provided a very strong hint for using that map to figure out where to go to look for vehicles. I have found 3 different vehicles in the span of about 1000m simply by looking at the map and saying "Oh, gee, that looks like an interesting little nook or cranny. Let me go investigate." I would not use out-of-game maps to look for vehicles. The most "comprehensive" one I found didn't have any of the 3-4 vehicles I know about, and I'm not about to go adding them for everyone to see. No troll. Yes, he's serious. With great effort comes great reward.

P.S to the guy who said "find a map and study it" what map? only maps ive found are the yellow dot map and moocow map is there some specific map for vehicles?

With due respect, how would anyone ever provide proof without accessing logs which only the offending admins would have access to? Recorded voice comms can be faked, as can server Side Chat, etc. And screenshots will prove nothing except they have a "bunch of stuff" which they will just claim came from lots of good-ole-fashioned hard work. I won't post the how-to, but come on. Everyone knows exactly how easy it is for admins to duplicate entire tents or vehicles full of items with the flick of a wrist, and I have seen so much evidence of it happening on so many servers it's really disturbing. I've seen admins on 3 different servers happily handing out NVGs and high-powered weapons like they were twix bars, not to mention deliberately disabling their own vehicles when logging off, knowing they can willfully duplicate the parts necessary to repair them when they log back in. It's stupid obvious and there will never be "proof" so we just need to wait for the exploits to be patched or for the team to put up some official servers out of the reach of these self-important admins who abuse their power to no end with no remorse. No, you would be all over the map looking for vehicles you can repair at will with your unlimited vehicle parts, or other players to kill with your unlimited ammo and weapons. I'm not directly accusing you, I have no idea what the details of the situation are, but just "being all over the map looking" is hardly evidence that you're not super-duplicating a ton of items and vehicle parts back at your home base of operations.

Hi, I sometimes come across servers where there is very little loot in an area (because someone already looted obviously) so i was wondering how often loot spawns? Also say the server crashes does it continue the loot loop where it was before or does it reset everything?`Also i heard vehicles only spawn once on a server. Like if you take the chopper its gone for good. Does this mean after a server crashes aswell or would it respawn? Regards

Can I ask what your source is for this' date=' and how old the information is? I can see this being the case for early testing, but now that they rolled them out on hundreds and hundreds of servers I really doubt it remains a completely manual process. That would be unsustainable. [/quote'] The source was a response from Griff to a nearly identical thread maybe a week before the forum rollback. The way I understood it, it's only done once via the hive server, so the actual number of servers is irrelevant. A bit dated, yes, but it's really the only official information we've received regarding vehicles in a very long time. -

I hope the trade goes wrong and you end up getting killed. Hoarding vehicles is the reason they are so impossible to find for normal players, and it's very scumbag behavior. -

This is exactly what I came here to say. I've been playing on the server for about a week because my friends and I have two vehicles. That being said, we obviously can't move them to another server. I would if I could since there has been no zombies. I would really appreciate if this issue could be dealt with. There was no zombies two days ago, then the server was reset and there was zombies. Same deal as yesterday. There was zombies then a reset happened and no zombies again... I would be more than happy to donate to the server since it's where me and a few friends play.. but these issues need to be dealt with soon. -
I did not get robbed, as I said, if I did they would have stole my vehicles and left my other useless items, why would they take lee enfield mags and scrap metal and leave blood bags and cars?

Yeah, I had died but I placed all the tents, and no if they found my tents they would have taken all my vehicles. I placed the medical supplies there and I placed all the tents. I don't know why only the medical stayed and why all my other tents were there, then they were emptied(some of them were just food or car supplies or just basic stuff) and then they all disappeared, except for my medical supplies tent. And that removing all empty tents thing, I lost my tents yesterday. If I lost it because of that when they weren't properly loaded I definitely should be reimbursed for that as it was the server/dev fault for my stuff being removed on accident.

Currently there is noting stopping people hiding helis and vehicles far W and N “outside” the map. This means a group can set up base out of reach of most players, and it is very hard to find these bases without a heli. Easy solution borrowed from Warefare BE. Implement a destruction/kill script with a countdown timer. The map is large enough as it is. There is no need to use the outside.

WTF you people finding this abundance of vehicles? Do you just play a whole lot or are there places on map (or specific servers) that have a lot of them cause ive played this since may and ive only seen 2 cars.
