zombie domination... Players start at a base with weapons, ammo, and vehicles. Then they go clean the map one city at a time. Increase zombie counts and pump up the fog. Now that would be fun. Side missions help you gain new vehicles and weapons. Turn off friendly fire and add vehicle respawns even for the ones you gain at side missions. That way you get 100% coop zombie sim. Instead of survival which can get old, you have a simulation of military vs zombie infestation. You can make the server night, day, extra fog etc to make more challenging.

I have been running around military bases and camps waiting for someone to try to snipe me. I have an M24 with 15 rounds and 2 years Arma 2 experience waiting to counter snipe so called "sniper bandits." PS: It would be cool if they could make a domination version for dayz where friendly fire is off and you HAVE to work together to reclaim towns. Pump up the fog, give the survivors a starting base with some weapons and vehicles, and let the survivors reclaim towns and cities from HORDES of zombies. You could also add "side missions" where smaller parties team up to search for food to bring back to base.

We are a group of about 10-12 people that play together. We managed to locate several vehicles, this concludes a ural, vs9, offroad and uaz. Apparently we have been going back and forth with some people here with them stealing our vehicles and us finding them and taking them back. Which im not complaining about its part of the game and gives us an objective. However the problem is quickly after the first time around it was obvious they were running scripts to locate all the vehicles. The first time it we found the vehicles the 2nd or 3rd day after they were stolen and it was by pure coincidence. The next day the vehicles were stolen again. First thing that crossed our mind "wow someone else found our vehicles", a week later we ended up finding our ural again along with our uaz and some atv's but we could only take the ural and uaz back. This was 4 days ago, we scoured the whole map to find these vehicles and finally managed to find them off the map in the debug forest west of kamenka, we were psyched and we knew at this point that they are scripters since they could easily locate our vehicles. This is where the interesting part comes in, the reason we found the vehicles is because we seen our offroad roaming around balota we chased them once with the slug bus and they got away due to speed. Our buddy that we were going to pick up by balota ended up having to wait for us since we needed gas and regroup at our base camp. He ended spotting the offroad by balota again, and they were heading west which is why we went west of kamenka to look for our vehicles and boom we found them. This was awesome, however after spending 1 and a half hours regrouping and relocating, they end up finding our new camp site while we were there. We went north east, all the way by the ocean and far up north that it was about 500m past the map where the textures end. When we start heading up the hill they roll up with the bus we left behind, which didnt have any tires on it when we left their camp since we blew them off and that means all of them, we also checked the gear in the bus and they did not have wheels in the bus. Based on how far the distance was between their camp and our camp (complete opposite side of the map west -> east and south -> north) there is no way they could have made it there. Unless they got into their bus and headed straight for our location, so even in the best case scenario where they did not teleport their bus with all their players by us (and there were 5 of them attacking us) They would have to jump into their bus immediately after we left their camp and head straight for us, they did not even bother looking around they simply knew where we were and when we became stationary it gave them the time to roll up on us and wipe us out. Also i dont know if this gun is legitimately in the game but there was a svd camo inside the offroad, personally i never picked up one of these guns in dayz so it could have been spawned in by them. My deductions go as far as this if you guys can look into the logs more to find out what happened that would be great, i got killed in this process and im pretty ticked off because i had some really nice gear and its gear i earned. I had a dmr, silenced m9, nvg's, range finder, gps, and thats the main rare stuff, lots of other stuff on the side i had a mountain dew bottle and other stuff that you can find easily. PS: the distance between their camp and us if u draw a straight line is 21.6 KM. Im gonna provide a screen shot with the people in the server, taking into consideration that there were 5 of them who attacked us and the players listed below who were in our group, at the time we were playing at best 1 or 2 of them were not part of this scripter group. our players: Azur lilchronic JeT VALs BEAST Syaticus Chronic Nazsgul Washington I dont believe FillaRealla was part of the group but i believe fermi is a definite based on seeing him in the server when our vehicles would dissapear. We recovered all our vehicles and moved it on the complete opposite side of the map and they just found us already in the vehicles they had left... These people are obviously hacking and have illegal guns something needs to be done on us23.

Yup. They're all hoarded. That's why this weekend alone my small team of four friends found an Offroad Pickup, Bicycle, Dirtbike, Land Rover, Ural Truck and a Yellow Hatchback. We now have more vehicles than people. Most of them were in their original spawn locations, untouched, waiting to be repaired by us. All servers have vehicles and they're not hard to find. Anyone saying it's impossible because they're "all hoarded" are just too lazy to spend a little time searching. You will notice they tend to be the same people who complain about the other parts of the game that aren't spoon-fed to them off a silver platter. We also don't hide them off the map. Most people don't. It's pointless and inconvenient. We had one of our trucks stolen today, but even in a vehicle driving 10km off the map every time you want to log off the game is incredibly prohibitive. Especially because some vehicles don't do that well off-road. It takes so much time and fuel it's not worth it. People think this happens all the time on every server. It really doesn't. Most groups just park their vehicles off the road in the tree line and hope nobody spots them. Run around and keep your eyes peeled, you will find them I promise.

Yeah at 1am AEST an Apache flew over our camp and destroyed our vehicles and killed me. We lost a white Hilux, a bus (which we were doing public transport runs in) and a Ural which took us all day to find and fix. Managed to save the ATV and my mate made it out of there with my gear thankfully. Pretty annoyed about it though, a good three days of work down the drain. Not including the 20+ Barracks and Heli Crash site weapons and 200 slots in the Ural full of Meds, Ammo, Tents, etc etc. We were set for life nearly. I don't know the name of the hacker because the server is Veteran. Also that hatchback was at Berezhino exploded and when we went to the NW airfield earlier that day there was a Chinook and a tank. Two people were flying round in a little bird and apache as well. I knew Enigma was a hacker I saw him on NZ9 in the same hatchback on Saturday. Saw him on NZ10 yesterday. Although he's a hacker he's not a douchebag one that just does stuff to ruin the game like blowing up the server and stuff. Can't say the same for the others though.

Just wanted you to know, that I saw this post a few days back, and we are actively working on fixing such issues with our server. We hope in the future to alleviate such issues from our server, and that any community that grows around our server will approach hacked weapons and vehicles as the aught to. In short, thanks for the notification.

So we have a few friendly guys together and established a small base camp with a couple of tents and vehicles, and are looking forward to getting that chopper :D Still open to Neuzugang ;)

I can attest to that. I have video footage. I started recording right after our second kill. He kept coming back just minutes after he died, shooting what had to be a high powered sniper rifle. How can someone respawn, find a high powered sniper rifle and make it all the way back to Berezino in less than 5 mins, EVERYTIME? Not only that, but prior to that incident, they would kick us off the server when we drive by in vehicles so that while we are busy logging in, they would take our cars. These admins are blatantly exploiting mechanics in order to enhance their playing. We have all decided to play on another server because what is the sense of playing all those hours gathering things only to have them taken away by admins that spawn items just to grief us. Our only fear is that the same will happen on another server. I know this game is only in alpha, but can anything be done about this?

Recently, I was in the possession of NINE vehicles. It's dwindled down to 3 again, though. Some people stole their cars back :3 Might be able to get it back up a little by returning to the old camp some day, maybe a few vehicles are left!

And now for my horrible horrible story..... Goddamn this is embarrassing, but it goes to show, Vehicles can be bad. So, it all started this morning. I went out on mine and my cousin's "good" atv. Figured I haven't ever seen a boat, may as well go look for one. Near the wrecked ship, south towards Berez there was a boat!!!! Ok, I'ma hop off and hide my atv, put my stuff in it in case I have to swim at all. This is where I made my first mistake lol. Overfilled the ATV and lost my flipping Night Vision Goggles..... Such a dumb mistake. But, I got a boat now. Gonna go hide it so me and my cousin can come back and figure out what to do with it. I got around the corner of the sunken ship and found the second boat there!!! Figured good enough, I drove right by here and didn't see this, plus even if someone takes one, there's another. Back to my atv, heading into Berez. We need to fix up the other atv so we can roll out together in style. (Also seeing 2 atv's may trick people into thinking that there is four of us and not two) So I head to the warehouses next to the harbor. Did you know that the Harbor is also glitched for the atv's? Lmao me neither. Up in the air I went. To quote Joel from Rooster Teeth Podcast, it was "THE SKY! THE GROUND! THE SKY! THE GROUND! THE SKY! THE GROUND!" WHAM! On my side, broken legs, bleeding, shock, and needing pain killers. Thank god I have all that. After emptying my atv I head back to the boats with some gas tanks I scavenged. Head down south to our base (yes, we don't hide our stuff in the north/west off the map) Just as I make it back to camp my cousin wakes up, hops on and I tell him how much of a dumbass I am, As I put it "I got Good news, Bad news, Good news, and Bad news.." "Oh?" "Found a boat, lost the nvg's, found a second boat, lost the atv" hahahaha So we decide to go collect the last boat. Take the atv out, and guess what? I forgot about the trench by that ship. "THE SKY! THE GROUND! THE SKY! THE GROUND! THE SKY! THE GROUND!" Wham and FIIIIIIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!! My cousin's unconscious. I'm bleeding from the top of my head (Love the blood spray Rocket!) heal myself, pull him from the wreckage, he has an epi on him so I make him all 100% We lick our wounds, lamenting the loss of our last atv, and head to the boat. Now I was under the impression that A- the boat was full of gas, and B- I had spare tanks on me anyway.... Nope..... We got stranded out at sea.... Had to make the swim.... I told him about the horrible horrible glitch and how we had a 1 in 100 shot of making it to shore with our gear..... we both lost our gear at the exact same spot too deep to get..... Rangefinders, His NVG, his sniper rifle (heli loot) my 24 slot backpack, everything in our backpacks we had worked towards.... All because of my goddamn assumption.... At this point my cousin got a liiiiiiitle bit angry. Realized he still had his sidearm and killed me. And All I could say was "I deserve that. I'm gonna go sit in my closet so I don't break anything else" TL;DR: Lost all vehicles and loot in a bad string of unfortunate events all before the first pot of coffee was even finished in the morning.

I found 4 vehicles in 1 day purely by chance. Bicycle in the middle of a dirt road, someone's motorcycle on a hill by a tree, someone's empty fuel tank atv on a dirt road, then someone's van in a forest. I also found someone's off roader on a hill close to stary sobor, another atv out of gas in a bush off a road, then a bus by berezino. Just walk around in weird places and you will find vehicles.

Nope DE13 is most of the time locked duo to the fact that i raped their camp in the forest once. it was a big camp with around 6 tents 4 vehicles and alot of stuff in the tents. so we took what we need and ruined the camp. after that the server was out of the list for a few hours the next time i took a look at the serverlist there was no DE13 anymore. just a DE1337 what was never there before it was locked aswell ofc. after some time DE13 was there again, locked.on my mission to find anything useful about ny7(cause we got adminraped there) i found a thread that they have a new camp on DE13 on the island on the coast. so i guess they locked the server again to farm stuff and build a new camp on that island. just fyi we ruined the camp cause they locked the server before that aswell. i guess this wall of text explains alot about the DE13 locking.

So i was playing on a day Z server today and i heared a helicopter above elektro. My initial reaction was wow decent effort to them, but then i realised as i walked out onto teh street that it was a blackhawk helicopter with 2 miniguns on the side.. i was yelling on direct channel for him to land and to my surprise he did.. Latley i have become a bandit because i have been killed alot.. so yes i shot him out but i was on ventrilo with mates i told em to get back on teh server ill pick them up, i also had to randoms following me and they hopped in, i took off and was learning to fly next minute i hear another helicopter so i view behind the chopper and realise there is a FRIKKEN APACHE GUNSHIP on my tail and it starts firing rockets at me i ended up crashing in the confusion.. then my friend tells me elektro was getting destroyed by an apache.. So i was wondering.. did the admin spawn custom vehicles is that possible? OR did they legitimatley get them because i didn't think they were even in day Z Also how would 1 spawn these vehicles in there server? If me and friends played on our on server and it was empty for fun. :D I filmed started filming just after i shot him out for proof.

I really hope this is true. I searched for vehicles for 4 hours the other day. I covered some major ground. Nothing. I am convinced that they are being stored off the map. They also need to sort the fact that their location is trackable through server files. I'm am absolutely positive I got burned by server admins cheating and getting the location.

The problem with what you're suggesting is that tents and vehicles are tied to the server, so it'd be unfair to give admins full control over their servers. That data is DayZ's data, not your own server's data. I've seen what happens when you give hotheaded clan admins their own DayZ server. I'll give you a hint: we usually end up banned for breaking a rule made up on the spot because we killed the admins or stole their choppers. Ordinarily, this wouldn't be a problem. Just find a different server, right? Oh, but what about your stash of food, water, guns, ammo, and vehicles stashed on the server? Oh, gone, too bad! Sucks for you! QQ more, right? Here's the problem with banning people for DCing: You've taken it upon yourself to police your servers for potential DCers. Just how do you go about that? Do you only ban people who DC while shooting you or your clan buddies? Do you let any old player say "omg he disconnected twice in an hour! must be DCing!!!!!11" Do you ban anyone who connects to your servers more than three times in an hour, with zero proof of DCing to avoid PvP? Do players on your servers need to be terrified to disconnect in fear of being branded a DCer? I'm not going to sit here and argue. DCing is an exploit. It has been said many many times. I know when someone DC's on me...because I shoot at them and they disappear. And they are banned accordingly. I don't need proof, I don't need to make the community happy. Those of you that don't admin servers don't quite get how frustrating it is to try and run a clean server with one hand tied behind your back. But, as Vipeax once said...your server isn't blacklisted...why do you care what the playerbase thinks? *Shrug* And I don't.

They all have vehicles. As far as I know, you can't remove them from the server. They are just hard to find because players hoard them in the debug plains.

If this is in the wrong thread then I am sorry, I'm new here :P. Anyway I wanted to know how to tell which servers had vehicles working? Like if it says on the server desc. or if you just have to ask. Thanks :D

Drop the FN FAL, easily. The DMR is a great sniper rifle for hitting moving targets/vehicles. It's also shit-easy to find ammo for. The FAL, on the other hand, has rare ammunition that is only found on crash sites. You have the LMG for close/mid-range encounters and the DMR for mid-long range encounters.

Why are people even able to save camps and vehicles outside the boundaries of the map? Surely the boundary could be adjusted so that the server won't save camps outside the map.

Are you looking for any vehicle in particular? If so, you can go about finding it in two ways: 1. Find where it is likely to spawn, and monitor it actively. With so many players on the server, it's more than likely to be destroyed upon capture than change hands. 2. Hunt for base camps. Scour the map from NW to NE, clearing down. You're bound to find camps and vehicles. I can tell you for a fact, vehicles are a PAIN IN THE ARSE. Once everyone in your crew knows you have one, they'll be whinging for a pickup from the coast. Idiots.
