"Saving" vehicles, tents and whatnot is just so lame... game should auto save all those things before server reset and that's it, just like it saves profiles when one leaves the server.

My immersion breakers. 1. You can run forever and not get fatigued. 2. How much you carry has no effect on the speed or distance you can run. 3. Backpacks are boxes with slots that items slot into. (capacity would be better). 4. When its night you can turn up your gamma and its black and white day time again. 5. "Billy was killed" yet I am 12km from Billy how would I know. 6. Apparently everyone is an Aeronautics and Motor vehicle engineer. 7. You can carry and engine block and or a rotor assembly in your back pack. 8. Thermal sights, NVGs, Range Finders, NVG sights, Laser sights, gun mounted flash, flashlights and vehicles ! all use magical batteries that never run out. 9. Players can Use the matrix to spawn in behind you or into the world near loot. 10. I cant get in my tent when its raining. 10a. Ive been in the game world for 3hrs but my Days count says 42 days 10b. My bicycle is faster than my car off road. 10c. Some people have a magic camera that follows them and looks over objects. ( just a whine about 3rd yer yer I know and I don't play on them ) 10d. loot magically reappears every so often 10e. When the server restarts Helicopters reappear by magic again :)

You can farm vehicles or Pitch tents in locations that you dont think players will travel and vehicles can hold 10 Weapons/Equipment and around 50 clips of ammo same goes for tents.

Ability to take the big generates. (blue vehicles thing) Find portable lights like from military camps. Take them all in a vehicle. Then could set up camp.

Why do you think its so hard to find vehicles? Because everyone fled when the infection came! (Made up backstory...again)

In the 70 hours + I've played the game I've found 1 bus Not so much add vehicles around but more push bikes with a light on them. That be better. I've not really found a vehicle. I've followed tones of maps with vehicles on them and not found a single one in any of them. I've even saved myself on the slot and joined different servers and looked around to see and not one. Hard to find for me. I think more push bikes with lights on them. Also allow 2 seats in a bike.

Feffe is in no way using any hacks, and isn't really abusing admin rights. Me and 2 mates had been killed around 30min~ before what you are describing by a hacker(possible names "B " or "Shaft", and I respawned next to 2 of the 3 vehicles you described here(the blue truck and UAZ). Since we had lost around 6 weapons, 20 blood packs, pens.. you name it we decided to take those vehicles since they had a lot of loot in them(mostly ammo), drive to where we died, and recover what we could from that and regroup at our camp. However on the way we were chased by the black SUV, he though we were the hackers since we were using the 2 spawned vehicles and a helicopter we had seen next to the road. After around 10-15min of convincing them that we hadn't really hacked/spawned/cheated in any way, and wouldn't mind if they took the cars, we got off the hook and were on our merry way with the agreement that we would not do any player killing for the next hour while they were trying to figure out who that was. So after we started driving in different directions, we suddenly saw exactly the same message "hvem faen var det????" as you edited out of your OP. I guess that in the end was you killing them as our chats all had them dying in it right before. So all in all, he's only trying to fix what hackers had already done.

I come accross vehicles hidden All the time. They are normally well hidden, but i wander around cheranus on the road less travelled. Chances are, someone got into your vehicle and drove it away.

yeah specifically maybe more bicycles, would be nice to travel town to town on them, hiding them outside town in bushes and whatnot, thats what I do and it works really well, you basically cut out the running with an enjoyable bike ride, although I do not think I could really go uphill at 25 k/h... That way vehicles retain there rarity and high value, but people don't have to run everywhere.

Yeah they are overpowered. I flew one for 4 hours with four other buddies and found so many hidden camps and vehicles. (I didn't even know the radar at the top left identified vehicles/tents etc... I just looked straight down lol). I'm glad though that you can literally just look up at a helicopter with a CZ550 and take out its rotor. And.. if you have a M107 or especially a AS50 you can literally just shoot it down.

i have 2 more vehicles and they dont disapear , whit great loot , no one take the vehicle he simply disapear , just trying to see if theres a way to prevent things like this from appenning , dont whant to take the discusion to a supose , ( probably an alien take my car) or whas the vehicle un ufo , im getting confused.

Hey guys, thanks for all the information regarding bugs and server restarts etc. The server I left the vehicle on restarts every 6 hours therefore has restarted around 3 times since I left it there 2:00pm (UTC+4). I think that I left the vehicle too far off the map and so it has been despawned by the "hive". I just wish they would give better signs to tell the player "THE MAP ENDS HERE, DON'T LEAVE VEHICLES PAST THIS POINT". I have seen from other posts that people say you will know when the map ends because the terrain stops, but by looking at an online map such as http://dayzhq.com/map/ the map ends long before you get to open plains without any terrain at all on them. Thanks for all the info and help, at this point I might aswell cut my losses. It looks like i'm off to find a new off-roader :(

Maybe, I didn't really like L4D either, not into any of those fast paced shooters, couldn't even get in to Halo. I liked battlefield way back when, for a time, with the big open maps and the vehicles. I gave this game a lot of patience man, I spent 2 hours straight crawling through the woods with a broken leg, if that isn't patience, I don't know what is. Its just, if you spend two hours doing something, most people tend to want something out of that. I didn't have anywhere close to a good time doing that, but I kept going thinking hey maybe one of these shacks will have morphine or something, or perhaps this stupid status will wear off, or maybe even the next zombie I meet will have the decency to give me a quick death. I really like the idea of the game, just not a huge fan of the execution. or some of the decisions that went in to the design, it is, after all, still a game, and I play them for enjoyment. Last time I got anywhere near this frustrated was playing Dark Souls. I beat that game though. This one however, I don't feel it's worth the frustration. Not now at least.

But what you're doing is lying. He's contributing to a lively community with stories while you're on here talking shit about another player, it says a lot about you as a person. It says that you're just bitter and pessimistic but hold yourself in high regard whether or not it's true. Nothing is ever your fault it's always someone else's. You didn't specify why he drove to the airfield and it's most likely to find some supplies for the group. Once again, you are alienating him from the group by discrediting him because he didn't contribute to one thing the group did. "The rest of the night was spent developing more vehicles, while Caviano sat around. The night ended with a lackluster run into town that only occurred because Caviano decided to throw a flare that illuminated our V3S Civilian on the hill above Chernogorsk. While we were moving, we noticed another flare in Cherno and Cav started running forward into survivor mode. No doubt he saw another opportunity for forum posts about us and more bean counts. The encounter ended with him insuring "Jack" that he make a post about this on the forums, or whatever. The entire encounter was written about in a largely fabricated post that contained nothing short of lies and deviation from the truth in grotesque ways. All for reputation. All for those beans." When caviano "sat around" he was at work. God forbid he has more important obligations than a video game. What happened when your truck was illuminated? Apparently nothing. It's not a problem for him to write about you guys in his forum posts. It isn't a bad thing. He's sharing the groups exploits. He's bragging about you guys. They're not fabricated as you've said so yourself by saying how he made a post about events that just occurred, they're exaggerated. And a story is just that, a story. "Some mumble drama occured where a user was not fit to be in our group, and instead of appropriately handling the situation and listening to the core group of players, Caviano got into an argument/fight with his "real life friends" while on Mumble which actually culminated in him being BANNED from his own mumble by his "real life friends." All the while our core group continued to be pestered and insulted and called faggots from this member whom Caviano refused to ban despite the fact we told him multiple times we were being called faggots. Caviano being banned from his OWN mumble was just the beginning of the "mumble antics," however." I was asking you guys why you didn't want to play with this guy and instead of actually saying anything of value like you're implying; "appropriately handling the situation." You all ramble at once and say that he asks "too many questions" or some non-sense reply like "'cause you know?" That is an illegitimate reason to exclude someone from the day-z group. This was actually what sparked the idea of sabotaging your entire group. The newbie did not call any of you faggots. This is a lie and can be corroborated by many eyewitnesses. My friends were stealing shit and they fucked up the camp and I told everyone to fuck off, but like, I had to man, they are my real life friends, you know?"" Andrew at first, wasn't out to kill of you. It was after he discovered your personality and especially yours, that he decided that he would do it. I remember the M240 that you accused me of stealing. I didn't know where your camp was and only after you mentioned the missing M240 that caviano showed me where it was. Once again, you are the ignorant one. I found this M240 in the southern barracks of the northwest airfield just like I said before. If it's true that no one can be trusted then why solely place the blame on me? I guess you were on the right track because my plan was to destroy your camp, I'll give you that. Caviano used the members of his group for reputation. In every single forum post he made, he never mentioned any of us by name. We were his impersonal men. His impersonal men that he ran around in circles while singing and throwing flares to give away our position despite the fact people asked multiple times for him to stop. In the end of it all, Caviano let bandits come into the group and take possession of all of our stuff and "forgave Andrew" and ignored the fact that he stole shit and ruined the entire group dynamic we had built for multiple weeks. Not only did he allow bandits and his "real life buddies" to fuck up all our of shit, but he threw flares around our V3S Civilian in Cherno which directly jeopardized all of our things so he could run in to do a rescue mission in Cherno which consisted of a song over in game voice chat, "We're friendlies in Cherno! We're friendlies in Cherno!" Where a vital member of our group was shot at by a guy who needed a blood transfusion. Okay. Right. I would highly advise anyone who is thinking about joining Caviano in his future endeavors to think twice. You will end up as another means of reputation and bean count for Caviano, as he attempts to do things that will get stories "posted on the forums." Including running two of his long time members out to give morphine to a guy who very clearly evaluated whether or not he should "take the shot" for a few seconds after we healed him. Of course, those few seconds after we healed him was him "in his inventory." according to Caviano. The same person who called his friends innocent and told his long time members to "fuck off" when they were right all along about theft and flat out bullshit that Caviano could not control in any way, shape or form. " No, the real bottom line is this. Caviano enjoyed playing with you guys and enjoyed telling stories about the sqaud. So what if he doesn't mention you guys by name? You're implying that you don't care about reputation by saying how he craves it. Like I mentioned before, you throw flares all the time too, at every "checkpoint." It's okay for you to do something but it's not okay for someone else. You are a hypocrite on top of being an ignoramus. So are you saying you guys weren't running in circles? It seems like every night you're going out to look for supplies so you can hoard them, but for what? To keep in a truck to look at? This is another reason that led to the sabotage. The rescue mission had a huge following throughout the day-z community and he wanted to contribute. Caviano was just being friendly by claiming that he was friendly because it was a rescue mission. Was the guy who needed blood a member of the group? If so, then how does claiming to be friendly players directly cause him to shoot another group member? Does it even correlate at all? Did he confuse you guys with the simple phrase "we're friendlies in cherno!"? In the case that the bloodless guy wasn't a part of your group there is still no advantage to shooting another player if one needed a blood transfusion. And if that player was dumb enough to shoot then it was no fault of caviano's. I would highly advise anyone reading rayken's post to take it with a grain of salt because some parts were complete fabrications and not representative of caviano. Caviano is contributing to a growing community with his storie. It was in no way his fault some things turned out the way they did but you're using him as a scapegoat instead of actually thinking about what happened. Load up regular Arma 2 and go into the Editor. Then place some planes, vehicles etc and learn to drive/fly ;)

We only restart it when it's night time or to get rid of a hacker(Someone ports everyone to cherno on the server, I alt tab and restart to save their characters). As far as combat DCing, I'm also an advocate against it and threaten to ban my OWN members before any regular player for doing it. So I know you're lying already - Ask anyone who has gotten in a fire fight with us and won. They got all the kills they deserved. So i Orderd a Server a few days ago, 5 mins into having it i had to send a support ticket in about "Waiting for host" issue, this turned out to be on the DayZ hive end, atleast i think thats what they tried to tell me. :) Second was retarded ping times to all their LU servers, their FR servers was running just fine, i was told to wait for 24h if the problem was persistant i should get back to them and they would look into it... the problem resolved it self in the 22th hour, so here's to hoping it stays away. :) When all that is said and done, the interface for managing the server is quite nice and works well when you first figure it out... and their support on the my two tickets was fast and respectful.. All and all im quite happy with what we got for 40 euro. Oh, and lemme add this, a dude at work orderd a server in FR to get arround the retarded ping issues while it was still goin on, he got the server 10 minutes after it was orderd and it was white listed that same evening... my order took 10 hours or so, so id say kudos on the fast response time. Edit: and to the vehicles question, ive read somewhere that you need to give it 3-5 days for vehicles to spawn.. im fairly sure none have spawn'd on my server either.. been looking for them like crazy since it came online and have found none so far.

Yeah sucks. I guess I wont use tents anymore. Useless item =\ Makes me wonder if I should even bother looking for vehicles. I think they just tele to them and take them.

Vehicles do not spawn straight away after you launch your instance fr the first time... It can take a few days for them to spawn... Which is out of the hosts hands anyway.. As long as you have an instance number from dayz, which you will have. Then they will spawn.

We've had the same problems, it seems that tents are stuck in a mode where you can take everything out of them, and at next server restart, they will be full again. It's not the same with vehicles. Don't store your stuff in tents...

Instance ids above 6000 do not currently have any vehicles, the DayZ team plan to add vehicles to these newer servers over the next couple of days. This is controlled by the hive and not the game server. This is the answer from support team of my hoster

If you park the vehicle off the map it'll teleport you back onto the map and vehicle will stay be. In some cases it'll push you to debug fields. If the admin restarts the server every second time in-game it won't spawn the tents and vehicles.
