Ha, there's no console of use in DayZ that I know of. Admins nor server techs can teleport, give items and or kill players remotely. Characters are all run via HIVE including vehicles and tents. Hackers that run scripts can teleport you and themselves spawn and or create ammo boxes with high end items in them that are in DayZ or not in DayZ aswell as godmode and many others. Hope I extended upon aboves answer.

I was also whining like you guys. But then I started finding cars, atv's, bikes, and ural's full of weapons. Well let's just say I don't care no more what you all think, cuz i have a shitload of weapons and vehicles! -
Ya even stil I know that feel....sigh and people wonder why server hopping is so popular...i was going to set up tents on multiple server but as i was literally moving the loot it went offline...and any server i find vehicles on it seems they are the ones to stop existing...i swear the unfairness is just insane.... So much for those NVG's top tier guns (aws, AS50, bizon) tents...gps.....cars....stolen cars.....lawl

I like this idea. Heres another idea: I would also like to see a DayZ domination server in which players work out of a captured town or base with limited supplies and have to go capture all the towns on cherno. Food, water, and the scarcity of Dayz should still exist and no Over powered vehicles would be in the game. Increase the fog to make zombies harder to see. It would be fun. Stuff like this is what I expect from a stand alone Dayz. Give different game mode options. -

fixable choppers aren´t the main issue with this patch.... tents and vehicles don´t sync correctly! thats awful! also the graphic glitches (only seen on green mountain) are horrible -

Is there not a range limit on those transmitters? It's not about fairness. DayZ isn't fair. It's not supposed to be. It's about people gathering vehicles that they never intend to use, for the sake of either basking in the glow of their imaginary property or preventing others from using them. Either way it's a form of griefing. It's detrimental to every other player on the server. It serves no purpose other than selfish greed. Since "we have the technology," the game can be programmed to keep vehicles available around the map on a regular, if rare, basis. This makes the experience more interesting for everyone. It benefits everyone. -

When they enabled vehicles again a while back server didnt need to be restarted I believe, dont see why it will need to be for choppers. -

Not sure if there's anything really against it, as far as I'm aware it's not allowed, but I would understand people with the "testing" ideology, but I don't understand why a server host needs 2 other people to "test" in a locked server. In honest opinion locking need to be either removed or when the server gets locked only the host should have access in it. I find it a bit ridiculous while you're playing and making your way up with good gear/vehicles to just simply be kicked, then have to wait an extended period of time because of said "testing", while there are multiple players in it. I mean also what is there to test especially over 10 minutes?

Our host is at Vilayer, is this patch automaticlly done? We already installed the 1.7.2.4... If this isn't the case, where can we find the files for the hotfix/ how can I see if our host have installed this hotfix already. We still have trouble with vehicles and tents. -

He was wearing a ghili west of elektro in the Forrest he we shot him behind his back in the head, in front of him beside, him and he killed 9 of my clan members without taking any damage the i watched them spawn vehicles for themselves. There names are axle Sven_Gewalt ARE HACKERS on de57 right now -

I think that once ammo reloading and all forms of duplication are fixed, there should be a mass hive wipe of everyone's tents, vehicles, and inventory. -

survive against what? the zombies who get melted by LMGS the hunger/thirst that we have tons of supplies for in our vehicles? i realize youve never made it to end game, but once you do; you know there is nothing to do other than hunt people. only thing i play for now is to see how high i can get my murders/bandits before i die. for some reason on the 40-50 person server i play on i cant find anybody anymore, but im up to 14-0 while my buddy is at 37-1 (hes at like 29 zombie kills) -

If it was your camp we found off the map, we stole as many vehicles as we could, and destroyed your camp. -
this happened to me a while back, everyone on the server is teleported to a random place by a hacker, uauasly you lose all your items or are given a gun. sometimes there are vehicles and zombies everyware. everyone is confused and its not long before you start killing each other! The hacker likes to watch from far away and snipe any survivors. the best way to avoid it is to not play on any servers associated with reddit/etc...

Well, Vehicles are sought out by huge clans as they are fast travelers. But since many clans are horrible drivers, they feel the need to hoard more vehicles than they really need. So most vehicles are taken when spawned. My old group found a UAZ at green mountain. We left it there for the night, in the morning still there. 1 hour later, its gone. -

I agree, most of the community is a piece of trash. Haxors and douche bags.. But not everyone on of them are assholes looking for attention. Why not join a clan? Start a base, horde vehicles and even shoot noobs at the shoreline! Trust me mate! it's worth it :P -

Survival servers, who will be the last to survive? So, you think you have the skills to live the longest? Can you survive the zombies, starvation, dehydration and other players? With my suggestion, we can put your skills to the test! First, a server is made fresh. People fill the server in a "waiting" area until 50 or so survivors are on. Then, the server spawns everyone at a random location on the coast, and it is a free for all from there on to see who can live the longest. A few changes Items that spawn, won't respawn. Food, Ammo and medical supplies will need to be rationed! Vehicles will spawn, but not respawn. All "gas" tanks can only refill jerry can a certain amount of times before they are empty Animals will spawn, but not respawn if killed. Food and water will drain faster. This will promote taking risks to get supplies, rather then just camp out in the forest waiting. When you log off, your character will remain in the game. This will be you sleeping. Death I permanent. If you die, the server will temp ban you until a new instant will start. This would give game play a goal. Will you survive on your own? Forum a group to raid towns for supplies? Team up with other players to eliminate the competition, just remember, only one person can win. I am thinking these servers will last about a week before there is one person left. After the person win, the server restarts, respawns everything and waits for 50 more people to join. I don't want EVERY server to be this way, just a few. It is a great way to work towards a "end game goal". How will you survive? -

I have to agree with OP to some degree. I've been playing for over a week and I have yet to see a single vehicle that I could use. The best I've done is seeing another player driving a truck after I had just spawned. Really, its somewhat annoying. I get the idea that a clan / group might want one or two, but it gets annoying when they get ALL of them. The problem is, once you get one, you have a MASSIVE advanatge. Let's use "Clan A" (a 4-person group) and "Player" to illustrate the problem - both have just created new characters (i.e. normal spawns). "Clan A" joins the server after a reset and quickly finds and repairs one vehicle (they have more people, they can fix it faster - this is fine). "Clan A" now uses the vehicle to transport themselves to the next nearest 3 vehicles "Clan A" repairs another 3 vehicles, and drives all 4 to a campsite north of NWAF "Clan A" leaves 3 in this far away, hidden place, and all 4 get into one vehicle and repeat the process. "Player" joins the server a bit later, and looks around for a vehicle, but cant find one nearby as "Clan A" has taken the nearest 4 (or more) "Player" has to spend (lets say) an hour to get to the next-nearest vehicle spawn point, while "Clan A" only needs to spend 5-10 minutes. "Player" can only transport one or two parts at a time, due to bag size, while "Clan A" can transport all the parts due to more player and vehicle storage Basically, due to the movement speed, bonuses of groups, and timing, it bascically becomes IMPOSSIBLE to find a vehicle at spawn after the first hour after a server reset. In addition, becuase of these bonuses, "Clan A" has effectively removed all the vehicles from the game and gotten better gear (to defend the vehicles with), Its not so much a problem with the hoarding concept, but that they are by nature a method to travel faster. /edit Lets also apply some math. The map is 225km2 or about 15x15km. In MP, your viewdist is set to 1.5k (or around there, at least). So, around you, you can see only about 7km2, and that's counting all directions, and NO view-blocking things - essentially an unrealistic, best-case, impossible scenario. So let's call it 5km2. That's approximately 2% of the map at any one time. Now, via some insane "arma2" logic, the character apprently runs at 18.2km/h. Counting only the directly forward and backward aspect of the view distance (Basically making it a cube, rather than sphere), you need to travel 3k forward to see an entirely new area of the map (i.e. so the furthest forward object becomes the furthest back). That'll take about 10 minutes, real-time. If we call each section a "view chunk", there are a total of 45 on the map. So, that means, to see the whole map it will take 7.5 hours. So no. If "clan A" is smart about it, they'll be able to hide ALL the vehicles for a very, very long time. Sadly there is no way to "prevent" vehicle hoarding. As long as the vehicles are placed even somewhat logically (i.e. along roads, urban areas, etc.), the first group to get a vehicle gets a massive advantage. -

I have been playing Dayz for a couple of days now with a few friends and we have been alive for some time. We have pretty nice equipment and have been to the North-East Airfield, Devil's Castle, most of the large cities and other commonly traveled areas. We are not new to this game whatsoever but we seem to have a problem. No matter how many times we look at a so-called vehicle spawns in any server, we can't seem to find one. We have no problem finding all of the parts for vehicles but out of days of gameplay we have yet to come across a car/truck/van. Actually an hour ago we saw the first vehicle we have ever seen in-game and it was already occupied and moving away. Can someone please give some advice on how to find a vehicle. We have watched videos and read guides. Nothing works. We need help! -

Right now vehicles are just duping tools for assholes out in the woods. In time, I hope that vehicle hoarding will somehow be mitigated, allowing a little bit more equal spread of vehicles. It would be nice if finding a car was a rare, but not entirely unexpected occasion. A tool to be used to get from A to B and then abandoned, or in rare cases refueled. Perhaps making jerry cans rare spawns would render vehicle hoarding a little less efficient -

I don't mind people hiding cars, as long as they actually USE the vehicles. If they have to go on a vacation, they should not expect their vehicle to remain when they return. Vehicles should circulate between players more and not be claimed for a whole week. Using cars as storage or trophies is not ok. It ruins the purpose of vehicles. Vehicles should be used to take players across the map in a timely fashion. Also, repairing a car can be a fun/challanging/risky adventure for a small group of players. Finding a vehicle in the north west part of the map is not fun at all.
