Only thing I can think of is that sometimes vehicles get stuck on obstacles. If there is nothing around it... Then I have no idea.

on the DE 884 server i think vehicles are not saving. is there any reason for that? we repaired like 4-5 vehicles and on the next day none of them were where we left them the next day. i dont think every single one was found? also for a while you could get out of a vehicle if u crashed it into something and it was orange/red, save it and it would be repaired again. wtf is going on are those things i mentioned common bugs or specific to the server? edit: oh and also: tents seem to refill after each restart. how can all of this be?

You can drive vehicles with a red fuel tank. Like the above poster stated, all that this means is that the vehicle will lose fuel faster.

There are lots of things you can drop onto the map and lots of things you cant. Buildings are one of those things you cant. Edit for clarification: The Chernarus Map is Baked with buildings, roads, runways, powerpoles, waterline, and flora. (Ie; most static objects) Spawnables include, tents, vehicles(even destroyed), tank traps, barb wire, rubble, mass graves, etc.... I probly missed stuff but you get the point.

Not for me. Same sh1t was recently with one russian servers - there are someone stole/burned all admin's clan vehicles and admin closed the server.

A) Block roads, force vehicles to go into grass and drastically slow down making them much easier to target. B) To troll bad players who go afk, you build tank traps / wire fencing around them C) Keep a player from being able to steal vehicles unless they have a toolbox/entrenchment kit I haven't really done any of them since the graphical glitches, but they do have a use

well there is no reason to go anywhere else, u wont find enough food and supplies anywhere else? no vehicles, nothing.............

I to was banned from this server allegedly (hacking/spawning illigal vehicals per logs) when I have never done such things. On a side note me and my friends found a base with vehicles and took them when heli's where introduced. Date/Time Aug 1st around 7 pm (maybe before 12 hours in between I logged last) Central Time zone, UTC-6

Seems like a fine server, could even find some vehicles, and i hope this server will not see hackers :) And if you see someone driving around with a tractor... its prolly me :) And have you decided the server restart times? Because it is very good to know when save items from dissappearing.

Our base was bombed and destroyed by hacker. So he finds our forum post on our base and then claims to have destroyed it and then claims that since we had an excess of vehicles by bombing us he helped the server. the server is US 941 expert server. Hackers Forum Name: DYLANBROCHILL Here is the quote where he admits to bombing it. Please ban him i have had enough of hackers already but one who comes on the forums and gloats about it needs to be tought a lesson.

Don't stay around Zelenogorsk maybe? All that's there is that chance to spawn vehicles, despite that it's all a lie. As for it being on the coast, nobody really ever goes up there. I've only encountered three people, a genuine friendly, a bandit (who later took an axe to the back), and a crazy man running through town with an AKM on full auto drawing all the Zombles.

DayZ first world problems. Now that we got a heli repaired, it was too easy to find and hoard most of the vehicles in the game......now what?

Well....here's the quick rundown....our little group is slowly growing...started with 2 of us..now we have 4....but needless to say...we need a couple others who are dedicated to this game like we are....lets just say that 3 of us ruined an entire clan's camp and completely wiped out there vehicles :) We are a small force but we are smart about what we do...and where we go..and who we shoot....we have plenty of firepower and aren't afraid to take on a vehicle-hoarding clan head on....by the time your snipers have a lock on us...1 of us will have a shot on all your snipers....needless to say...we need a couple guys looking to have fun with this game...and completely ruin someones day when need be! Only thing is....MUST be older tha 18 Have Skype Enjoy having fun and laughing your ass off And most of all....run like a team! Yeah I think the search function is buggy, I can never find what i'm looking for! I agree, i've found a bicycle and two completely broken vehicles. It's just not realistic. I have no idea how all these people are getting trucks and buses all the time?! I check all the vehicle spawns and never find one!

They are not hard to get what so ever. It's keeping them that is hard. I have a group of 10 people and we have 3 or 4 vehicles. Anyone saying "Save some for the rest of us" is just pissed because they haven't grasped the concept of going out and looking for OTHER PEOPLES cars. Just because you don't find one in it's spawn location doesn't mean you can't get on. I've found 5 vehicles in a day of playing. On the same server.

Agree 100% there sparky, Rocket has built up an incredible momentum with Dayz so far but he is going to risk losing that if some power is not handed to the admins to fight the growing hacker threat. Hell, we have been running servers for over 10 years and they have all been highly respected and properly admined, people know that when they see our name attached to a server they are in a safe place and are almost guaranteed a good gaming experience. Rocket need to let us continue that, to take action against players teleporting everyone to one location then killing them, to ban players spawning in banned weapons and vehicles, to make Dayz something that people will want to play on our server. An example, two guys last night attacked our camp, we had 6 players, all in TS, all geared up, we were completely useless against these two players that teleported, turned invisible and when we did manage top catch them for a second under our crosshairs no names showed up. Out of the 6 players I was the only survivor, but here's the thing. We didn't even know who killed us. We couldn't even look through the logs to find out who it was because they are such a mess. So, whoever it was is free to jump on our server whenever they want and cheat to their hearts content without any consequences. Even if we did know their names, unless we were recording the game at the time there would be nothing we could do, and even then we would have to send the video to the Devs, wait four weeks for them to view it and then see if they took any action. Meanwhile the hackers would still have free reign on our server. If that had happened in any other game, the players would have been identified, confirmed and banned within minutes. Our forum would be open for any appeals, and life would go on as normal, with a happy hack free server. Give us proper admin tools, give us proper admin powers and in return we will give you a safe server for your alpha testers to play on, at no cost to you. You never know, it may actually work.

Because most admins would use spectator mode to spy on people and call in locations of camps and vehicles to their friends. And ban anyone who gets anywhere near their stuff. Just look at how many servers are locked and passworded right now if you want ot know what admins do with what little power they're given. Or how many clan servers are auto-booting. "Fuck the rules and fuck other players, it's my server and I do what I want" is basically the attitude of a solid 75% of admins. If you want to be treated like adults, start by cleaning up your community.

Btw what about your vehicles? cause ours are gone!

While I see your point, this is not really the type of game that you want to be leaving great and rare items for the next guy. You are in a hospital and find 5 morphine, you have 8 slots in your bag. Do you take 3 and leave 2 for the next guy or do you grab all that shit?! I know what I would do, and bravo to you if you would leave any, but in a survival situation that is not thinking smart! Same with vehicles, especially if you play in a group. They are mobile storage and speed up getting your group together/supply runs 10 fold. And someone always finds your stash eventually so it is better to get a few vehicles and stash them in a few spots.

You also should be able to find a barbeque and make 'Delicious Steaks'. These items should give back double the blood that normal meat does. Also, there should be boat trailers in the game which you can attach to certain vehicles (ex. the pick up trucks), so you can take your boat to different places than the sea.

I didn't even know this existed, I searched for your server name and found no results. I haven't even been on your server at the time of a mass teleport. I've been stealing your vehicles, but that's about it.

Did you restart the mission? Because that will delete all tents and vehicles.

I think it would be fun with a good amount more vehicles. I don't use them myself 99% of the time.. because they draw too much attention. I don't think the extreme rarity of them is realistic though.

You can check up on the BIstudios wiki and find certain command lines that scripts use. I found a guy deleting vehicles on my server and deleted my Heli mid air and now he'll have to find another server to HACK ON!
