Hey This might be more of a fix than a suggestion, but for people that dont know it. When u press save on a tent or vehicle with loot, that save will be loaded on server reboot. The problem is that when u have servers that reboot every 6 hours, for giving heli crashes new locations and refreshed loot, which i find is fair, the problem is the tents, if u have a as50 u can put it inside every tent u have and then press save and pick it back up. after server restart boom, as50 in all ur tents, that is really not a good thing, makes u loose reason to move to places with high value loot. I dunno how u can make it for best server performance, but maybe everytime a player is done interacting with vehicle or tent, the server will save the tent. Kind Regards Bamma

I shot 4 people that were riding a truck by simply killing the driver and then everyone that got out. I think that is stupid. There should be a way to make something like that: Metal plates with a slit to look through. Then you won't see much (on non 3dp servers at least), but you also won't be shot out so extremely easy! There could also be something for the wheels or w/e, but right now you are just fucked if someone finds you while driving around. Dead driver=everybody dead

Hey guys! I guess this thread fits into this topic, it isn´t a bug report yet...I guess. I spent the last 4 days looking for some vehicles. I used a map to find the spawn locations, but no matter on which server I join, there is nothing! Jumping from server to server but staying in the same location, that made me think. Could this be a bug or are vehicles really *that* rare? Yesterday I spend hours running around the Black Lake in the NE of the map, switched servers & tried everythink - but found nothing. The same thing with the heli crash sites. Some servers I joined where US443, US335, DE191, LU85 & US927 & US950 Anyone having the some problems? -- sorry for some mistakes, english is not my native language and it's been a while since school lessons ;)

I've seen a few people talk about keeping the server locked until it's in "playing" so that the "mission" has time to "load" and this affecting vehicles somehow. Can anyone confirm? Vehicles actually spawning after a server restart seem to be sporadic at best. I'd really like to narrow down the best way to get them to show up reliably, and I'm talking about saved vehicles here not random spawns. One restart the ATV is there, where it was parked, the next it vanishes and the next it's back again. I don't consider it good form or fair to the players who might be searching for vehicles and have no way to know if they even spawned in the last restart.

Hey, all. I started playing DayZ in single player because I was sick of lag and bandits taking out my noob ass, so I searched about how to play DayZ in single player mode. I had to install a .pbo (not sure if correct extension?) file into my Arma 2: combined ops folder, then I hit single player in menus and scenarios/dayz. Everything works fine, except I've been to about 20 known vehicle spawn locations and haven't found a single vehicle that I can enter or interact with at all. I can't be having this bad of luck, right? Anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

I check and save our vehicles every day. I ride around on an ATV and check they are still there and save them or restock them. We have 2 ATV, 1 Blue bus, 2 off road trucks, 1 (red) GAZ, 1 Blue Ural, 1 Green V3S. I checked them sunday night and headed on a ATV to electro. 30 min later i arrive. I give me friend a gun, we shoot some people. Park the ATV out in the woods. Server resets as usual at midnight. Next morning i go and check the atv, its gone. ok, no big deal, it wasnt real well hidden anyways and when you park them on a hill in a tree they tend to roll down it anyways. So i start the 40 min walk/run up north to our camp. Check the first spot, gone. run another 15 min to the next spot, gone. So, after 2 hours running around. All of our vehicles are gone. They are all parked way way way away from eachother. How did someone in 1 day. Get all of our vehicles? I dont see it being possible. Can anyone explain? Also our server no longer for the past week has shown up in Six Launcher. I have to launch a server from the launcher. Click disconnect. And then go to multiplayer, and then search for the server to join.

Recently my friends and I have start looking for a constant server but we're looking one which spawns vehicles, I've been looking about and am unable to find a list which states if servers do/do not have said vehicles. I understand at a later time -all- servers will have said vehicles but for the time being I and my friends would very much like to find a server which has them at the moment, could anyone point a finger towards any stable, veteran servers with vehicles enabled. (Preferably with 3rd person)

There seems to be a small group of players controlling the vehicles, I have seen Convoys of vehicles driving around shooting the place up, but after getting a map of all the vehicle locations and have been trying on a couple of different servers for over 2 weeks to find just 1 and have not found any. I think the system that allows players to control these vehicles permanently needs to be dropped and there needs to be a time limit, like if the vehicle hasn't been used for 30mins then it re spawns at the location it was taken from. Now i no you few people with vehicles hidden are gonna cry like babies but i think the wider community deserves a chance at the vehicles too.

Does anyone know the respawn times for vehicles in servers? I think it was mentioned at six hours though this was speculation from a post I read aaaggeess ago. Also, do cars always need to be repaired before you can drive them away? or are there some that need a fix up but can stil be driven. Sorry for the nooby questions, I'm just needing to move onto end game stuff now, already lived up north off the land etc so need somthing new to do.

Hi I found my first vehicles 2 days ago, and it was a lot of fun. It was a big truck that gave a completely new dimension to the game, it was like a "main base" for our team, I was starting to get bored of walking everywhere and having so few space in my inventory, but it was so fun defending this truck against other players, having to repair the damages... I think it's a good way of implementing base building in the game. A vehicle is just like a big house on wheels, and you have to take care of it all the time by repairing damages, finding fuel... The problem is, I played almost 100 hours and only found 1 car and 1 truck. The truck was incredible luck : it was standing in the middle of the road, with a lot of weapons and gear inside, so maybe the driver crashed :/ And the car had already 2 passengers, and we had to kill them to get it :D So cars are super rare. IMO there should be more of them, because that's simply so much fun... I want to see car jackings and clans fighting each other to grab their vehicles full of stuff! So what's your opinion, and what do you think could be the cons of adding more vehicles spawn points? -
How do i register my server for common vehicles and helicopters?

What Happens if you dont save Vehicles or if you saved a Vehicle then moved the Vehicle or added items too it and did not resave it?

Server: US 394 Time: From 11:00 PM to 12:20 AM Eastern US (GMT -5) A few friends and I had found a couple vehicles and we were driving around. A cheater, we think his in-game name was Alex but not sure. We would be driving and everything would turn red, as in everything damaged and needs repaired, then would go back to full green. This went on, back and forth from red to green for a while, so we decided we would just park the vehicles somewhere and leave to do something else. Well, as we were grouping back up, we kept seeing someone else come to us on random vehicles, an ATV, motorcycle, tractor.. and once he'd get close to us he'd blow them up. Keep in mind this is in a server where currently there are only about 10 people connected, 6 of them being us. He blew up one of our trucks so we started to hide them, and then all the vehicle damage was on red and stayed there (this happened to all 5 of our vehicles). I was getting out of my truck and it blew up, killing me. This is his tractor that he drove up and blew up, and in the background one of our other trucks that blew up. General suggestion thread about future of weapons and vehicles in DayZ

Here, we state our opinions on what weapons should be brought into the game and taken out aswell, same goes for the vehicles. To be quick, I'd like to see more Russian weapons and less Western weapons, tbh none. No opinion yet about the vehicles. Can't wait to see some more suggestions. -
I have been playing on a very frieldnly Unofficial Server and it has been the best fun I have ever had in a game - Saturday I play for full 14hours non stop and started out with a group of 3 of us and a tractor, and by the end we had 4 cars and a bike and a group of 12 randoms working together scouting for vehicles for each person. The thing I found great relief in was the fact that all cars found were fully fixed and full fuel, it just made the game a bit more exciting - anyone else feel this should be the same across all servers? Just a thought.

My small group has been raiding towns all day and we've yet to see a single vehicle or tent. We're getting a bit anxious as we want to set up a base and stockpile supplies before our inevitable deaths... Any advice on reliable locations for this stuff? We've been hitting marked locations on the dayz db map but to no avail.

So if I deploy a tent on one server and then switch to another server the next day will my tent be there across all servers or just the one I set it up in? Same for vehicles?

I was wondering if anyone could give me some help with managing the server. Is there anyway to despawn any vehicles that go off the map, or any tents that go are set up off the main map? Also, I'm downloading, for the first time, the scripts.log .5 gb file... From what I gather, I have to look through this by hand to figure out if someone has been running scrips. Can all I do as admin, be to look through scripts.log and try to find something noteworthy and investigate that further? Thanks for the help.

A Question about servers (vehicles and tents)

My question is: why sometimes vehicles just vanish after server restart? or tent I just put bloodbags spawn "empty" after restart? I had a vehicle and I made an accident. Suddenly server restarted. now vehicle isnt there, tent is where is supposed to be but its empty. what should I do, change server or just wait for them to load properly with another restart? I forgot the ask my real q: I saw my nick "was killed" as soon as I join to server today. then there was my own body, just where I spawn and I had a broken bone. same thing happened to someone else too. what should I do, respawn? -

i have no idea what happened but after i reinstalled arma 2 and operation arrowhead i cant see any modern guns i cant see any vehicles but the A-10 warthog, motorcycle, and one type of car. I deleted arma 2 and OA againg and then arma 2 loaded fine but OA is still missing allot of things when i try to join an armex with my friends with only OA i get kicked for "modified data files" and i dont have chernarus on my map list. So i joined them with combined ops i got in but i was a Crow flying around and i couldent see them or any of the vehicles. I deleted arma 2 OA OVER AND OVER AGAIN but its all the same. i checked all the files it shows the C130J and the Ah-1H but i cant see them all of my missions are fucked up and only dayz really works some one help :(

Last night and the night before, my friend and I travelled all around the map, through many towns, checking vehicle spawns. We were at far out towns as well as the well populated towns. Later we got killed by hackers at the airfield so all the searching and tension moving through towns was for nothing. Why are there no vehicles anywhere? What is the best way to find a vehicle? (The hackers weren't on the server we were looking on. There was a server restart on the server we were searching on and we just decided to go on another server to see if we could find vehicles elsewhere. This happened after all the searching.)
