Must be missing something, food gives me a bit of blood it seems, but not enough to get up to full again, not sure what items to use or what process I'm supposed to be doing. Any help is appreciated . Is there a way to stash items somewhere outside of my inventory? I have an Alice Pack and recently raided one of the big towns, got a lot of survival stuff like blood packs and food, water bottles etc, but my packs are completely full. I've heard people making Camps before, but how does that work with the servers, leaving and joining etc, and I don't know how often servers restart, any of those mechanics... Do I pretty much keep what I have on me and that's it, and is the Alice pack the biggest? Also with vehicles, If I'm in a vehicle and leave the game, do I keep the vehicle when I join another server?

Any way to contact the admin? We spent the 3 days building up our camp with vehicles and stuff and I'm really disappointed being banned for no fucking reason.

I think that more common vehicles makes sense, because vehicles are common, but seeing as this is post apocalyptic, there shouldn't be a working car on the map, because working cars would've already been stolen, instead it should be easy to find a vehicle and then the focus should be on finding the parts; going to industrial areas to find engine parts, searching through the shacks on the outskirts of towns for the windscreen glass, running up to a barn for a jerry can, filling it up on the way back, and then, only then driving off. It'd make people stop hiding their vehicles if it'd be a better use of them to drive around for spare parts and it'd provide a different gameplay aspect when fixing cars. Do you leave the car to find the parts? do you try and team up with someone? Do you lie in wait for some poor soul to fix up the car, shoot them and then drive off? plus it'd stop the KoS in larger towns if the person running past you could be the friend you need to help patch up a car and get the hell out of there.

This. I don't think vehicles should be less rare, but they should be more resilient and some of them should make less sound. I also think that a vehicle doesn't need as much storage space as it has now. Just some places for a jerry can or two and wheels(and only that kind of items), else it's a riding tent.

I have 4 vehicles on LU180, never seen you guys only seen a ural which I pursued and was ambushed :D

So hacker came into my regular server from my stream (someone on TS said a name of a guy in the group) Killed us all, smashed our 10 tents, destroyed chopper, vehicles, all of that shit. However, since I didn't freak out and delog, at the end he "spawned" a bunch of vehicles and weapons to my camp. Question is how do I know if the vehicles are able to be used, second, I had NV, Range finder, GPS, Ghillie prior to him comming in, however lost in the ocean where he spawned me. All the gear he stuck on me after is stuff I already had, Can I get in trouble for using it? I spent 3 weeks with my group getting our camp set, can I be banned for using all of the equpiment he "replaced" after destroying my camp?

This is my clan's "base" where we keep a few vehicles. We don't really care about losing the bus or van so I decided to turn them into a base of sorts (mainly just to look cool). The sandbags were found when we raided a tent city, they were most likely duped but who knows. I found this thread when I googled dayz bases, I'm sad I couldn't find any cool ones but at least I can share my creation ;) Funny note: The captcha to upload this photo was "braaains" :lol:

I think they do count as 1 in tents, even if they take 13i23i2 slots, so maybe in vehicles too.

Im a survivor. Ive literally killed no one since I started playing this game. I mostly stay North and run away if I see anyone. Although Im packing some of the better Military grade weapons Im tempted to start moving towards being a bandit. But Id like to understand other mechanics a bit better like vehicles etc. Surviving is pretty difficult right now, particularly because of food/water being a little scarce. I recon towns heavily before I enter but I often find snipers and obvserve them and won't hit the town unless they go away. The main thing I want to achieve right now is the map. I really don't know where I am often and I want to know the map much better so I know where I am headed. But Im losing faith in this game ever going anywhere.

My story; Been playing Dayz now for about 3 weeks, had some nice gear come and go, nothing top spec but some nice things amongst the empty tin cans. My only issue was I had never seen or even heard any vehicles, land, sea, or air. I first chalked this to the fact I mainly stay along the coast and have read that people like to stockpile and hide the vehicles in remote areas. Well two days ago just on a fresh spawn I came across a boat and a bus on the beach next to the factory, just north of Solnichniy. I figure theres very little chance of them spawning together so must be someone stocking up, rather than scope the place for any activity I sprinted for the bus and jumped in the drivers seat. Fully repaired and fully fueled, yes! Hoping to not be noticed I make a break north along the coast road in my shiny new bus. After a few minutes I hit he road end at Berezino. I turn the bus south west hoping to double back onto the coastal road via the south part of Berezino. I reached the supermarket near some military outpost but the road was blocked with vehicles and anti-tank girder type things. I tried to reverse the bus out and do a 3 point turn. Needless to say I go tthe ass end of the bus stuck on some rubble, I tried dislodging it but it wouldnt budge. I bailed out leaving the engine running which was a mistake as all that did was attract around 15 zeds to the engine noise. I made a break for the supermarket and lost a lot of blood in the process. Out the back of the supermarket I ran all the way back to where I picked the bus up from. The boat was still there! Oh joy, I ran to it and it was fully repaired just out of fuel, damnit. Not that bad because I am always finding car parts and fuel cans, so I thought it wouldnt take me long to find some. I spent two hours searching and finding no fuel, how ironic. Eventually I found some in, I think, Kamyshovo, dumping some good gear to make space. My hopes were up, just praying the boat was still there. I ran along the coastal road not worrying about the nice train of zeds that were trailing me. It will be OK when I reach the boat, I thought. I eventually spotted the boat in the distance and knew it wouldnt be long till I would be cruising the water. I reached the boat, put 20litres in and jumped in the drivers seat, engine on and..... that was it, the engine wanted to go, but the boat was stuck on the beach and would not come off. What a waste of time. Karma for stealing the bus I suppose lol. Maybe I could have used the bus to push the boat out, who knows.

What I'm really confused about is they claim they have no camp, they claim the people were in there helping with the server, and they also defend this by saying " We had the decency to post to you, run your own server and tell me how it is" blah blah. What would be really nice is if you could touch base with us on the supposed camp you dont have southwest of black mountain in a triangle formation of trees in the middle of the field with perfectly aligned sandbags and 10+ vehicles in it, over 30 ghillies and nvgs as well as many many weapons. (thank you btw those went to great use). Now we raid player camps on a daily basis to get our gear, but what I find absolutely hilarious is that as soon as it was looted, 3 hours later there were signs it was being moved, 2 hours after that the camp was almost gone, and then an hour after that the server was locked... we all know the rest of the story after that. I'm really tired of hearing people complain about hackers and about scripters ruining their server and about this and about that yet when we kill a clan member on a server they will roll it back... when we kill an admin (with proof, don't give me this bullshit we don't have proof. I'm not one to make accusations without it.) and the server is rolled back. I'm not going to cry wolf and go ADMIN ABUSE, ADMIN ABUSE!!! But lets face it, you dont want to encounter script kiddies nuking your servers? Dont buy one. Period. It really is a pain in the ass you can't just say yeah, we did it and we are sorry. We don't give a fuck that you free farmed gear and that you are trying to defend yourself with all of these stories (Really loosely threaded by the way, please try harder next time to think before you tell us 8 non admin priveledged users needed to help you fix the server, as well as locking the server doesn't really do anything to stop scripting/hacking besides show them when the server is up they can just come back.....) My absolute point at it's finest is fuck off with the excuses, and just admit you locked the server because you are really pissed your camp was pretty much raided for all it's worth, and that if you continue to make camps such as that we will find it and destroy them from now on. There is no point in lying when there is blatant proof you violated the terms of service. Nobody gives a fuck what you were doing during the lockdown, we're telling you that you broke that TOS and the rules.

You went onto their TS. To steal their Chopper. Then hide it OFF map? That's pathetic. Never hide vehicles off Map.

It would be kinda cool if for some vehicles you could team up to drive them. One to drive, a few to shoot out windows, A group of 2 or more should be required to fly a helicopter Maybe some skins for Friendly, how long you have survived, massive zombie kills, things like that Rocket said in a interview that he is trying to make endgame content as well, because once you get all the cool stuff the only thing to do is just kill people. I would like to see some sort of unlockable skin system, for weapons, vehicles, camo. This could be achieved by killing zombies, time survived, finding mountain dew cans, things like that. I know it's not "realistic" but i'm ok with venturing off the path slightly

The tent thing was probably a bug. Sometimes, especially after server crashes and automatically restarts, it seems to fail to get the proper information from the hive about tents and vehicles. That bug is fixed by restarting the server again, which is most likely what happend if I were to guess. I'm unfamiliar with the mosaic problem though, is that when the building graphics bug the hell out, almost blinding you?

The vehicles are there, you just have to look for them.

Tonight I saw an invisible man who turned me into a zombie before killing me, server-wide leg breakings, mass teleports/firing squads, vehicles spawning everywhere (including a boat on top of the Balota air control tower), my friend spawning in at random places all over the map, and the usual hackers gearing themselves up instantly. If I hadn't already resigned to messing around along the coast without worrying about trying to acquire fancy gear, I'd be pretty annoyed... I agree there's not really any point in trying to play seriously right now.

I wish there were more vehicle spawns or like less time for vehicles to spawn. Like Maybe instead of the 7 days of non-use the vehicle despawns after 2 days of non-use. It seems there are never ever any vehicles in the game servers even in the ones with like 10 people.

Now you're just changing subject, you said it was unplayable which isn't true as I just said there are lots of server which are perfectly fine. So okay fine thanks for guaranteeing me there is a possible thread of hackers on the servers I play on even though this goes for every server. I've been playing Dayz for two months now and I've maybe seen two hackers spawning in some vehicles.

Yes, it's a real shame that hackers can ruin this mod so much. Me and my friend were playing yesterday and started driving from the north to the south for almost an hour, only to get teleported to the NWAF by a hacker when we were about to have some fun at Elektro. We were lucky enough to not die, but we have lost the car for sure by now (a White GAZ containing a M249, M16A2 M203, NVGs and useful spare parts). Things like this makes me wonder if it's worth to ever try to repair something like a helicopter or invest much time into vehicles to have fun with them while hunting players. The hacking problem definately needs to get fixed, but I don't think there's much that the DayZ devs can do about it.

So before i begin i would first like to say i was a huge fan of this game. No game has ever made my heart beat so fast or my hand shake so bad it became a real challenge to aim. The adrenalin rush this game could provide was amazing. And now its gone.. Yes i realize this is an "alpha" and a mod. But to be honest i cant remember any game alpha or not with this many eye gouging flaws as this one. And yes most of the flaws come from the Arma engine. At this point there is no reason to play this game, unless your a hacker or a sadomasochistic and love to waste your time. Lets start with the simple flaws shall we. Worst inventory system ever used in a game i have played. Why this hasn't been fix i have no idea. Is it to fuckin hard to make it so if your bag or main inventory is full it will drop it on the ground instead of erasing it? At least you might be able to get your shit back if you overfill a vehicle... maybe. How about making it so when you press G you can see your main inventory and your bag?? Thats to hard i imagine as well... yes yes i know how to work the inventory but that doesn't mean i haven't lost quite a few things on accident or before i knew how it works. Zombies.... need i say more? Wrong engine is the wrong engine... Vehicles are amazingly weak, why yes i would like to pop both front tires and break most of my shit if i run over a wooden fence. Lets not even bring up the best of them all the ATV lol??? You can just take that out of the game for now. Bridges, trains tracks and even sometimes the middle of the fuckin road with nothing around for miles can make that piece of shit do flips. While your add it you can remove helicopters again. Found 2 and both went down in a fiery death. One due to a server restart with no warning the other a hacker which clearly stated he killed everyone to bring down the chopper after the fact. I cant believe anyone will have a legit chopper for long. Not to mention once you get a chopper its becomes roughly 1000000 times easier to gear up due to finding crashed choppers or ganking other peoples shit. The snowball effect is horrible. Remove barbwire from the game, or at least give it a 2-4 hour time limit before it despawns. Graphic glitches plus the annoyance of every single fucking building with anything important is covered with it.... L85 and ghillie suits need to be removed as well. Not being able to spot someone 10 feet away while looking right at them or the reverse and being able to spot someone in cherno if your at the NW airfield is pretty bad.( relax that was a exaggeration) I personally think camo is about perfect for this game. A slight color change but doesn't turn you into a small bush. The ghillie suit is more my opinion and the L85 is just blatant bullshit that should of never made in the game. And last but not least the hackers... How many times i have died in from hackers this week = 20 at least How many times i have died from a legit gun fight before the hackers could kill me= 2 How many times i had to abort before being killed by hacker that felt like teleporting everyone together =5 Mind you i never alt F4 except when i am 100% sure theres a hacker involved How many times i have seen someone hacking is off the chart, i lost count a long time ago. I will not pretend to know how to code a game but all this money you have made in the last 3 months you think you could of hired some of these guys to actually protect your game...its become so blatant that i can almost grantee you if you log into a server with more than 30 people there will be a hacker in chero or elekro within the hour. I hate to say it but i am done with this game for now. I would love to play the stand alone version in 6-12 months but for now all i can do is hope Warz isn't the piece of shit i think it will be. The leader also uses hacks to locate vehicles and people. Don't ever join Omega-6 unless you're looking for your enjoyment of dayz to be halved

Don't bother joining the Omega-6 server. The admin will not hesitate to restart the server whenever their clan is in danger. Their vehicles are indestructable (will fully repair when you exit them) and hacked weapons are to be found on them. I've also heard some mention that the leader will spawn vehicles. I know of someone who saw all vehicles spawned along the coast.

My server is CONSTANTLY getting hackers, it's ridiculous. Every day a new hacker comes on a seriously screws up the server. We haven't had the thunderdome or anything, but hacked choppers, vehicles disappearing and now catching on fire, and items being teleported while we're looking in our inventories for ourselves, vehicles, and tents, are simply disappearing. It's aggravating.
