Norske Server Admin Panele mot hakkere

They see everything, tents, players, vehicles, zombies, loot spawns.
  2. See, that's my problem with any sort of character advancement mechanic. I always see that the individual proposing the idea provides an example of "This is how it will punish a bandit" or "This is how it will punish a well established character!". Case in point, your example about punishing a well established character with a tent/vehicle/campsite. It's toted as an attempt at "leveling the playing field" and "protecting the little guy". However, you seem to gloss over the fact that the punishment is more severe for the less established player. This is precisely the opposite of what you state as your intentions. Examples: [1] Player A with tent and/or car and/or well stocked teammate(s) dies. They run to their tent and gear up and grind/farm (wow do I hate using this in the context of DayZ. Makes me shudder) the skills you've laid out in the OP. Inconvenience: Minor. With gear in hand immediately, it's just a pure time grind to resume their prior skill set that presents zero risk and will be lightning quick as compared to a character spawning in with no gear. [2] Player B is a player who lacks any sort of storage beyond their own personal inventory that has died. This person was quite well geared to the teeth, they just didn't have any "reserves" via tent/whatever. Not only do they have to work at getting basic gear/supplies together just to survive, they now have the added burden of their skill set. By the time this player even gets a remedial set together, Player A is back in business with their skill sets where they were pre-death. Inconvenience: Significantly higher than the well stocked player The end result is that Player A is now given even MORE of an advantage by being able to widen the gap between them and players without tents/vehicles by having the added skill sets that they're readily able to re-max after death while others are scavenging for gear. If you punish the non-tent/car players too much, they simply won't play DayZ anymore. Some will complain, but most will be silent and just give up and move on. You can't just think about what would be most convenient for yourself or your clique of people that you run around in DayZ with. You need to think about this from a "how will this ensure DayZ continues to grow or remains well populated so that I *can* play with others?". My main problem is that these class, leveling, experience, skill, and other character advancement systems are toted as "Hah, bandits will think TWICE about getting killed now!" when the punishment they describe is always more severe for the less geared survivor. This is not to say that such a ratio of punishment is invalid/wrong, but it's contradictory to the goal you've set outright. I continue to say that character advancement in DayZ would ruin a lot of its charm for me. I love the fact that everyone is on even footing "character" wise with the only difference being pure items. I do NOT want an MMORPG/FPS. I do not want to gain skills/level/achieve anything with my character other than finding loot. I love that even the well decked forest sniper will go down like a rock if someone has the tactical wherewithal to get the jump on him. I sincerely hope that no character advancement mechanics are ever introduced to this game. Simplicity is what makes this game so amazing. Every darn shooter nowadays has experience/advancement. DayZ is a bit of nostalgia for me with a throwback to the games of ye old '90s where whether you've played the game for 3 months or 3 days, your characters' in-game capabilities are no different and the only advantages you get are pure items (that aren't restricted from anyone) and pure player skill. I appreciate your coherent and calm reply, as I know many can get really irritated when someone disagrees with their idea. I hope I'm conveying my responses in a similar fashion. My goal isn't to get you to "change your mind" and have you tell me I'm right. I only wish to convey that there is opposition to a mechanic like this so that anyone reviewing this suggestion understands it's far from unanimously desired (with my reasons/justifications stated).
  3. Adding toolbox and coyote backpack to themselves create vehicle means spawning vehicles. Yup, hackers.

Mega Camp Location -- US 1555

u mean the vehicles i found at the north east side of them map at Guba? BTW they still had everything in them and worked very well Thanks for the vid giving the rough location.
  5. so ive played this game for around two weeks now and i feel i have it down for the most part. i played with a group of people during this time which was actually quite fun, and we learned a lot playing in a group, but alas it seems as if their attention has turned to other things already and i'm looking to move on, and actually progress some more. so lets cut the crap and get to some of the goals im looking at now: * find a suitable place to set up a camp * locate and repair some vehicles * search for and raid other camps (which is why we need vehicles) * gear up * make special trips into target areas or towns so we can keep our camp stocked up * any other things that are important that we may have to do PLEASE READ THIS**** this is the most important part of the thread right here. i live in wisconsin, USA and am looking for other people who can usually get on around the same times that i usually play which are: * almost every afternoon starting around noon till whenever (if i have work it usually starts around 4 or 5) * i usually do things with friends at night if im not working but i usually log back in around midnight(ish) or even as early as around ten or eleven and then play till around 3 or 4 in the morning. im 20 years old, i like to have fun, but im really not looking for anyone under the age of 18 please. i'm also looking for someone who has some experience with the game (preferably at least two weeks like i have) and knows the ins and outs of this game. oh and you must also have skype so phew....i know thats a lot of writing but im looking for certain things from the people who may be interested. if you fall into all of this stuff leave me a response with your skype name and ill contact you asap!
  6. I've only given this a minute or two to think on and here are problems that would happen which would require other regulations to mediate. Players would... 1. ...round up a bunch of zombies, then run into another survivor, training them onto the other person. 2. ...run up to other survivors and steal items out of their bag 3. ...blatantly run into valuable loot areas (Cherno, Elektro, NWAF, Starry, crash sites) to pick up items, then return to their friends or camp outside town 4. ...drop their weapons to become invincible when they see other players about to loot something they want 5. ...steal vehicles from other players, forcing them to damage/destroy their own vehicle I'm sure there are other ways it could be exploited. Overall, this is a bad idea. If you are unarmed, then everything you have should be easily obtainable. Don't QQ over a bandage and painkillers. If you have a hard time finding a weapon, then you're searching the wrong kind of buildings or something. Go to the military spawns in Cherno / Elektro (fire houses, military tents) or barns elsewhere. You can get by easily with just a hatchet and they're one of the easiest things to find.

    Forming a new Clan

A friend of mine and I are setting up a new clan as to make advanced progress in DayZ. (Vehicles, base) We are looking for relaxed gamers (Reasonably mature people whom will not simply quit when they die, can't find supplies, etc...). We would prefer to have people aged 16 or older. Once a small group of people is developed, a clan name and servers will be discussed and established. We will most likely be a clan that will shoot to kill anyone overtly hostile,(Or if we're desprate for supplies, as unlikely as that may be,) and not be established bandits. The banditry issue may develop later and will include further discussion. Typically we play in the late morning, early afternoon hours (10AM- 2PM) and later in the evening (10 PM +) in the mountain timezone. If interested please reply to the thread or contact 'dizzycurl' over Skype or via Steam, username: 'Sallathius'. Happy hunting :)

    When to Trust

Here's how interactions with other players turn out at most points. option one: You get shot in the chest from an unknown distance by an unknown person. option two: You see another survivor. You ask "Friendly?". He shoots you. option three: You meet another survivor. He seems friendly. You speak to each other for a few seconds, and when you turn your back, you either find a hatchet or a bullet buried deep into your skull. option four, my favorite option: You meet a large group of survivors. You carry on with them for a while, finding a very nice tent filled with all sorts of items. You take a satchel charge from the tent before anyone notices them. Hours later, after joining their teamspeak and saving their lives a few times, you sit down next to a campfire because one of them wants to take a picture. You place the satchel charge on top of the fire, the movement being pushed off by other survivors as you screwing with the fire. You quickly make some distance and touch off the explosive. You then proceede to kill any survivors of the blast, loot the bodies, then leave the teamspeak server. Then you take one person's 50 cal. and hide all the bodies. You then destroy their vehicles. Option four almost always works, by the way.

    Best place to find Camps?

From Black Lake, search North and East until the coast - that little corner until you hit the inlet on the North or water on the East. On most servers I'd guess there's an average of two vehicles hidden in the same area.
  10. I've started getting this message from at least one server, if not multiple servers. I don't even know how to use scripts. Some of the other posts on this topic seem to indicate that it is related to using vehicles, but I haven't used a vehicle in over 3-5 deaths and it was just a bicycle for like 20 seconds. Really frustrating!
  11. I'd like to see: - all buildings enterable, all doors open-able (or if not open-able then force-open-able using a grenade or few shots to the lock) - more vehicles (or just more common) - no very high end gear in game (that includes no .50 cal and no thermals) - more weapon attachments - more zombie types - melee weapons (knives, clubs, chair whatever) - UI changes - some crafting system - achievements - options to party up with friends - punishment for murderers - bugs fixed - hackers dead - etc. the list is long
  12. I want an ending. You get rescued and then start a new character. Would be very rare and require a lot of work, but possible. Object of the game is survival right? Well, people get rescued and survive. Servers could track how many times you have been rescued, not just how many zombies you've killed. Most of what I have thought of has been suggested... More vehicles, less gas. Better animations, large roaming hordes of zombies. .22 rifles/pistols. Fortification, group tagging, radios. Underground areas/large indoor areas (airport/stadium/hotel) A logical hydrography network (rivers/lakes/natural pools/pipelines/ditches/aqueducts) Realtime weather across all regional servers. If it is winter IRL, it is f'n winter. Not always snowing, but you need to be aware of the elements and adjust accordingly. In summer you need to hydrate more and get fatigued quicker etc... Fatigue! Weight based inventory system. Hell, a brand new inventory interface system as well. I do like pen/paper idea. Would love to leave and read notes for/from other players. MOAR! melee weapons. Please. Varied outdoor locations. How about a golf course? An amusement park? Zoo? Mix it up a bit please. Dangerous animals. Lions, tigers and bears. Oh my!
  13. Yes I understand on that, its just I really think they should allow us to lock our servers, or set them to be password protected. Just frustrating when I feel like I'm waisting my money. Haha yes, I read that eariler. Pretty awesome, but not enough for me to keep spending my money. I'll still play, but not at the expense of me paying for a server. Also I plan on leaving the server up until the end of the month, since I already paid up until the 30th so that will give people enough time to transfer all the items off the server. I know my group has a few vehicles so maybe the last day or two I can setup a fun little last-day hoorah thing. I'll keep this thread updated for anything new.

    Weekly Wipes

With the recent increase in hackers and dupers, how about starting weekly or even monthly 100% wipes (tents, player equipment, vehicles)? This is an alpha after all and everyone here is a tester, how can we test a product after it has drifted so far from it's intention. Until the hacking and item duping can be taken care of something needs to be done, there is way too much equipment in circulation now that shouldn't be. It's not going to stop the hacking and duping but at least it will keep things under control, and would also keep players along the coast longer, allowing for more player interaction and from what I can take of this, it seems that this is one of the key points of this game/experiment.
  15. We actually don't have any cars or vehicles. Lnxa's group has them all. (Last I knew, they had the Chopper too until it was blown up with a majority of their cars about a week ago.) At most we have had was a ATV and a Bike, at least on US128. Also, no members have the ability to kick anyone. If someone is kicking your friend, ask him to give us a screenshot. Only I, Bluefox, and The Hopper have this ability. Hopper rarely plays, Bluefox sleeps during the time you said because he works nightshift for CDOC, and I am asleep at this time because I am up until 9am. So around 1pm, any person with admin abilities is not awake or playing. There are some known scripts that hackers have that can kick individuals out of a game. We have suspected a few of our players on the server have been using ESP/ Scripts to give themselves an advantage and I would ask for a screenshot of the error and a screenshot of the player list who is currently on when this happens so I can cross reference some names I have of other screenshots. This would help me narrow it down on who might be doing this. But, like your personality as always, you are quick to assume it is us. Please continue to harass us with your threats on the forums. This is ONE of the things I can ban you for and if you continue to do it you will be at the receiving end of the Banhammer. Shut up and have fun. To note also, its rare any of us play during the day (server time) because I don't wake up until roughly 4pm MST, Ooski and Zan don't play during the middle of the day and around that time most members are going to bed or playing other games because they live overseas. (Ooski, Zan, and I think Yoko live in the Great Britain Timezone, Alex lives in Israeli, and Monster is an Aussie. So its like 4am by the time its 1pm on the server.) I think Tril and Svirr are French...? They might yell at me for calling them French. They are the U.B.C.S.'s newest members, so I am not 100% positive on their playtime. Also, Tents are currently bugged. If you don't save a tent when it is empty.(you have to clean it out.) Whatever is inside will simply reappear. This is a known ArmAII bug and Rocket can't fix it. So hope for another Beta release to fix it. Tents are taking up a lot of space right now.
  16. Yep, weird shit happens on this server. They happen to know where the vehicles are so its pointless to try to repair or keep one hidden. Ive since moved on to another server...I only come back to check tents in a certain area.
  17. None of these skillsets should give a player any bigger chance to survive a bullit/hatched to the head, so i don't realy understand where your first 'now italiced' response comes from. Though perhaps i should include it in the OP under the 'Do not affect these things'-list.I will have to admit that the OP is still a work in progress, and I may have not stated every 'if / but / etc' in regards to this suggestion. But, I personally would like a 'what players need / and what they want' distinction in this suggestion. As such what players need should not be restricted (if you read the thread you will hopefully see my responses to some other suggestions on this topic to be in line with that statement, aka. unlocking abilitities is something i would not like to see!), but in regards to the things that people want, yeah i think progression in these skillsets, for as far as they can not be realized as IRL skills in the gaming environment, should be open to failure. I do not want to make a new player fail a 100% untill they did some arbitrairy action 100x, but in another thread i mentioned starting at 40% with a quick progression to 60%, to then have half the speed untill 80%, and long progression from 80 to 100%. Where these % are not fail/success ratio's but more or less some sort of 'skill level'. Last, YES! the goal is to make death a bigger punishment because once tents & vehicles work correctly death will be nothing more than the inconvenience of running back to your tent! ... and while i think a camp should lighten the burdon of dieing, there obviously needs to be something to replace it... a reasonable progression skillset system COULD be just the thing! I have thought about grinding a lot already, and if there is any risk in the learning-by-doing system it is the grind. The main reason i hope to combat this is to simply not show any stats on skills *period*, if you don't know where you are then you don't know how far you can (have to) go. Another thing is the availability of items to grind with, one can only 'grind' bandaging on bleeding people, bloodbags on people that are hurt, cooking/hunting on animals, etc... and the idea is progression through doing the things you progress in, so no matter how many zeds/players you kill there will never be any skillpoints to put in some skilltree, as there is no skill to progress by killing zeds! Well there is shooting them through the head, but that is a skill YOU as a player can learn yourself, so there is absolutly no reason to put a +1 system on it ;)@BazBake, Don't feel left out by not being quoted, i hope i answered some of your concerns in the responses above, but your statements did leave me with little room to respond. All i can say is that i will try my best to replace as little systems with 'rpg-like +1' systems as possible. And I am more than open to suggestions that make sense, f/e through discussion i think 'we' came to a cool cooking system that is on page 2 somewhere, while it is realy detailed it also ads a bit more than 'put meat on fire/take meat', because if that is all there is, why not just eat the damned meat raw! If it's fresh you won't die from it, it may be a bit harder to digest but if you chew realy good... and it's not like we humans only started eating meat AFTER we learned how to cook it, if you think so, then please check on monkeys diet's there are several that also hunt for meat and just eat it after a kill, no cooking involved... @All three of you, as already mentioned this is a work in progress suggestion, and the fact that i respond to your concerns should hopefully show that i do not ignore them, I too see these concerns to a certain degree. But then again, learning by doing is the least evil of all other possible systems, like XP for zed kills & skill trees, or perks that make no sense or lock people out of content untill they did something 1000x or even worse killed a 1000 zeds before they can repair a chopper ? like wtf! Learning-by-doing could provide decent mid-game content, while also keeping the tension in the game in regards to dieing. But please keep visiting this thread and keep tabs on the OP, I will add and make changes to it in the weeks to come, to give more meat to the idea. Be critical and ask questions, though if you still don't like it, well there is little i can do about that up untill a certain point, in that case you stated your dislike, i took note of it, and if you don't see it resolved i just ignored it ;) don't feel bad about that, as it's my suggestion not yours :) ... but do note that i gave you the opportunity to make it the least resentfull as we both could...
  18. Whos going to trade anything for a helicopter... maybe a barracade of vehicles and thermal machine gun with 5 SVD Camos
  19. The server is US 1946, and I have 2 vehicles and a camp site there, which I would like to access before i re-consolidate and move to a non-assfucker server. their clan is +TI+ you can find them here. http://dayzmod.com/f...ad-openings-ti/ someone help me blacklist these assholes. they're breaking rocket's rule of non private servers. i thanks a million safe travels Jake

    Simply, Rope

i like it the idea, in my opinion though, ropes can pull vehicles, hog tie? maybe but then you could replace that with handcuffs.
  21. Norway 9 between 23:00 PM and 2:00 AM GMT multiple helicopters and vehicles being spawned ( spawning witnessed ) around Stary Sobor. Do not know who did it.

US 1637 Is NOT Shutting Down (Update)

Can't say I blame ya. We're probably doing the same thing. We plan to set a note for players to see that the server will only be up a little while longer (so they can move camp to another server) and then bring it down. Sucks to lose vehicles and have to relocate gear, but yea.
  23. high five epitek. Yeah welcome to the game guys, we arent hacking, and i was the one that shot one of your guys. We heard you shooting when we were looking for you and your shots lead us to a place ONLY 2 KM away from dubina... nice hiding spot lol BTW, it wasn't five minutes either, we had been searching for atleast 30 minutes before we heard you shooting. ALSO, nobody among us wrote that message, But there was another group we ran into at that spot after you guys raided our stuff, I didnt i see anything written on the map until you wrote on dubina "Haxfags". Your shots gave your position away and we persued our vehicle that we didn't feel like losing, especially after we were dealing with a hacker the night before. quit crying. It's a shame you didnt put it the part where I shot your guy in the head from 5 feet away because you were all too busy messing around with the vehicles and weapons. But here is a tip, if you are going to edit a video, make sure to edit out the part where you guys start talking about duplicating the weapons yourselves... and then try to hush up the guy who said it, especially when you are going to try and report people for doing it. Nice one. And hey Cube7 sorry about shooting your vehicle i guess, but i was searching for camp sites in the area and stumbled upon your poorly hidden bus, i didnt want it so i disabled it in case it was owned by a bandit. I hope you dont mind, but I did take a coke. Thanks, i was thirsty.
  24. I'm back! I'll be riding this fuckin train wreck for as long as I can so stay tuned. I'm going to paraphrase some of your posts so that I can fit it all into one response. I'm pretty sure that zombie behavior, pathing, and AI in general will get an overhaul for a stand alone. Multiple people have suggested, both for the mod and the stand alone, so we can generally assume its a sealed deal. As far as less scoped weapons: Meh. I think the balance is just about right between iron sights, reflex, scope, etc. More votes and I'll add it. Camouflaging vehicles...now we're talking...updating OP. Repairable Trains: I believe this is the second post I've seen concerning this. I'll add it if I see it one more time even though I'm not quite sure how I feel about this. On helicopter crashes: Now this (and your subsequent plane suggestion) I really like. An event that happens before a crash site is made would be great. Those who are lucky enough to see it unfold not only have additional intelligence to aid in the hunt, but have to worry even more about other survivors, and have a pretty sweet story too. Updating OP, great idea my friend. This is a good idea, had it not been for the multitude of suggestion posts I've all ready seen I would add it (even though some of these suggestions are surely over done). I do think this is a great idea; but in light of that it seems so painfully obvious that I find it hard to believe that it's not all ready in the game. You and I both would be crossbow wielding bad asses my friend, you and me both. Streams and rivers: Updating OP, even though I'm sure this will make it's way anyway. Updating OP Great suggestions, updating OP Another great idea. I'm changing the OP portion concerning inventory to reflect this.
  25. * Server this happened on. DayZ - SE #500 Multiplay :: Awesome Town * Time that it happened including your timezone. 06:30 gmt +2 (sweden time) * What happened during the incident. Me and a friend were camp raiding and found a camp with alot of vehicles (like 10-20) about 30 tents and some with hacked weapons like PDW sd, aks(golden) and g36 We dont have any player names and we left the server imidiatly after we found out it was hacked. The coordinates for the camp is 127005 (and it would be good if you deleted the coordinates after you have approved this post, and if you dont, i wanna say to the players who want to go there and loot, taking hacked weapons can put your account at great risk, so i recommend you not to)
