I've a m4a1 cco sd, we only accept vehicles you got any?

Think it would be good if electricity generators could be included, requiring fuel like vehicles and possibly needing a vehicle to move them as a heavy object... could be used to power lighting at camps, not great for your lone player but those with large organised camps could have spotlights around the perimeter for night time security at the expense of being a glowing beacon :) also having watched the arma 3 demos im hoping diving equipment will be included in the standalone dayz!

so me and my goup of mates are pretty much at the end game stage (great loot, vehicles, tent city etc) and im wondering what everyone else does at this stage to keep them entertained.. Its frustrating because i cant go to Stary, NWAF, Berezino, Balota and a handful of other locations due to the artefacts, i cant find players up north to fight because im always avoiding full servers due to hackers, and going south to troll noobs disinterests me.. So what do you do?

AS50 is quieter, more accurate, higher muzzle velocity, less bullet drop, less recoil, and can use both types of ammo (and does almost 180k damage with AS50 mags, better for taking out vehicles). I personally have little difficulty estimating ranges by eye or memory, but maybe I'm alone on that one. -

Yea, we considered that as well - but felt the teleport coupled with the timing of his login and the hack was suspicious. I understand what your saying but scott was a new player to the server, that was his first log in - so if I have banned him wrongly he has lost nothing (no vehicles, tents, ect) -

First off i love DayZ and I understand that this is an Alpha but i bought my own server so my clan would have a chance at vehicles and so far im hearing that any ID over 6000 isnt getting vehicles right now. This info should have been posted HUGE on the DayZ Website to prevent people from buying BROKEN SERVERS!!! We deserve a response from the DayZ team on this because if they aren't going to spawn soon i'm not going to keep dishing out 50 a month for this server. To completely ignore the many posts on this matter is highly unprofessional and only shows you dont care about the community that is helping support your game. People paying money each month to help contribute to this game deserve to know when vehicles will start spawning so we can make a wise choice as to whether to keep paying or not. -
Any fix for the tents, vehicles and helicopters included? They still aren't saving items no matter if saved or not. And the chopper just respawns unrepaired after server restart. Just asking so far.. Bugs are still present and the server is always up to date.

I posted about a randomized map here: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/66004-what-if-the-map-was-randomized/ And yes, the more randomization, the longer the game stays fresh, no out of game assistance or relying on experience. Now you'll have to navigate using the in-game map, check landmarks etc. No magically knowing where vehicles and loot will appear, or the best sniper spots and pvp hotspots.

really? with my clanmate we met 5 hackers in 2 days. Killed a guy who had a ghilie suit an AS50 NVG/GPS/technically everything. we want into the forest for several clicks away from that location. The same guy appeared with AGAIn in a ghillie suit and having AGAIN everything he had before. yep he humiliated us so we lost our hard earned items. next server, we get some stuffs finally for all of us, same scenario. we invade Stary Sobor, a guy spawns (with Ghillie...) in 1 of the military tents while my mate is there he gets killed, i get to kill the guy... so i hide on high ground so i can guard my friends corpse till he gets back to get his stuffs back. Yet the guy which i just killed happens to be back at stary sobor under 2 minutes with AGAIN A GHILLIE with some thermo scoped M4 which is even silenced and almost kills me. Lucky me, he was a terrible shot and i could kill him. Right after that my clanmate told me to disconnect and just forget his items. Yes, i disconnected. i dont want to get teleported into the air and die. on another server we got teleported around, another guy spawned in vehicles... 1 guy was even some karate moves which killed any1 who was aiming at (?!?!?!?!?!) Hacker problem do exist and battleye is NOT enough to handle it. the Scripting needs to be removed as a whole from DayZ. It's not a fix... but a good start. -
Hello. For a few days now we can't send any message to the game using Arma2 Rcon GUI. For example after scheduled restart all tents and vehicles were gone so we had to restart our server few times to get it back and couldn't inform players about it. Any clues what's the reason? Thanks

That is an entirely unrelated issue. You are not shutting down the server properly and the new database connection is established without the old database connection terminating first. This results in the vehicles not being streamed. Please make sure that your server is properly terminated every time you restart the server; ensure that it is graceful, not forced. Lastly, do *not* use the engine-command #restart. As for vehicles: The vehicle-seeding process is semi-automatic and typically happens shortly after instance creation. It may however, worst case, take up to seven days before vehicles spawn on a specific instance ID after its creation. -
A good way to hide a vehicle better

This is a great idea. I mean, since this game is meant to be realistic, we should be able to keep our vehicles hidden while we have to log off. Since, in real life, we don't just "log off" for long periods while we sleep/eat/toilet/etc. -
good idea in theory, but its just more loot for the hoarders that already have both helicopters and most of the vehicles stashed away at their filled to capacity tent city. also would be to easy to find in one of said helicopters.

This was an issue for me when I first bought my server from Vilayer. My ID was 6083, and we had zero vehicles for about 4 days after we purchased the server, then they showed up randomly after a restart one day. Still though, I purchased my server about a month ago now, and from what I've seen, NO ONE has found a legitimate helicopter on our server. We looked for over a week, and it was not spawning at Skalisty or Skalka or the observed spawn locations. We grid searched the entire map, no helicopters. To this day, it is not spawning at the spawn locations and Vilayer, my provider has basically told me "This is DayZ's problem, and they'll have to fix it." So, we've pretty much given up on ever getting a chopper, which I don't even mind anyway since it's only good for quick transportation and ingress/egress in more dangerous areas quickly, or providing support for someone. I wouldn't take the thing and let the M240s loose over Elektro or something, I see no point in that. -

Well looking at some of the posts on the forum, I don’t blame them for not replying to everything. However I do think that issues affecting long term play such as vehicles do need a solid response. The issue has been listed on the known issues page, but it doesn’t accurately reflect the problem or give an ETA on a fix. Well we are all playing the alpha to find problems like this, there is only so many bases/vehicles etc we can lose without proper acknowledgement of the problem. I love the game and even have my own server. But without a bit more communication around the bigger issues that take up a lot of people’s time, I do think players will stop playing the alpha and wait for the beta/release. Which obviously won’t be good for development. -
Hello, Today when I logged on I ran 3000 m to my camp, I found out that everything was stolen, And I saw these guys riding past my tents up on a hill where they had all the vehicles and a camp with all my stuff, I went up on a hill next to it, I've shot 3 guys, Edward, Adora, Fonessa, Lexxure Directly after I shot them they shutdown the server and It's still not back up after 10 minutes. Why are you even able to host a server if you're gonna have admins that shutdown the server when they die... So lame. Can anyone else see the server down? Otherwise did I get banned? EDIT: The server is up now and the first player in is Lexxure... EDIT2: I now shot Lexxure driving around in his UAZ. EDIT3: Now I suddenly get kicked off for script restriction 55

Confirming this. New server up for about 24 hours then we restart and poof, no more saved vehicles. -
5 nights in a row now of Rampant cheating has forced our hand. We have spent months working hard to build regulars and a community which in the last week of camps and vehicles being constantly destroyed by cheaters, spawned helicopters, teleporting, god mode, instal kill on all players, aimbots and more has been destroyed, our regulars have left for other servers and DE 188 is shutting down. Even with Active admin, several of whom were on most of the day and night, I either can't ban them fast enough or can't ban them at all due to severe lack of visability and tools to properly police the server and policing the server becoming a 24 hour job for me and my admins. Server will be up occasionally when we want to play at night but will be shut down for the rest of the time just to stop people greifing the server and it will not be renewing at the end of the month. (10th September) We will be back once stand-alone is released assuming that whilst you'll never stop cheating at least it shouldn't be as stupid as it is now. I also figure it's bad at the moment due to school holidays and the kids being online all day long. It's a hard decision but the simple fact is we just aren't having fun anymore and have lives to live and can't police the server 24/7. Even when we are on we often can't do anything except shut the server down and wait for them to get bored and go somewhere else... Sorry for any regulars but we hope to see you again at Stand alone. Could use more players on US 1313

Yeah, the server actually crashed. It happened twice yesterday. Myself or another admin will always announce an intended restart 10 or 15 minutes before hand allowing people to get somewhere safe, or save tents if they happen to be near them. Wasn't happy when it went down, to say the least...but I can't complain all that much as the server performance has been rather good coming from Vilayer. Actually, that helicopter was spawned in by a hacker. We don't have a chopper actually, but when the helicopter showed up I checked the logs to be sure. Was 100% definitely spawned in. Caught a nice "createVehicle [uH1H-DZ] script(As well as him spawning an ATV for himself a few times), and promptly banned him. I think it was still flying around, or maybe someone else got it. There were actually a number of hackers on yesterday that were dealt with. Couple of which were invincible and killing people in elektro with thermal AS50s. I guess the server picked a good time to crash because it would of deleted that chopper since from what I know, spawned in vehicles won't save after a restart and despawn. -
Are we able to fire off the backs of ATV's and Dirtbikes?

I have driven a lot of vehicles, but I have yet to be a passenger on anything but a truck. Is it possible to fire as the passenger while on the back of an ATV or Dirtbike? I used the search and found a lot of vehicle threads but nothing I could see to answer my question...So i am looking to the community for the answer. Thank you in advance. -
did u make that up? NATO isn't a caliber first off and second there are a lot of weapons that use NATO sanctioned rounds... so doubtful the use of one forces all vehicles to suddenly combust... sounds like you don't know what you're talking about

I've found two fully repaired helicopters recently on two different occasions, both on low population servers. I'm starting with the second one first because that one confuses me the most. The second I found was sitting in the open near Lopatino. (its a trap!) I take it west and over a hill - the only way to see it is to climb up another barren hill. I wait about half an hour before my friend gets on. My friend and I leave to find parts to repair an ATV I found earlier. There is about 6 people online. In about an hour the ATV is fixed and we head back to find our helicopter gone - keep in mind we scavanged towns all around where we left the helicopter. (Lopatino, Pustoshka, Vybor, NWA) If anyone flew it, we'd hear it. The first one we found on top of a large building in cherno as night began to fall. A friend and I drove it around for a bit during the night and eventually landed it northwest west - far from anything near the border of the map, but in bounds. Eight hours of night time and it was already gone, our tent hidden between trees emptied. Note: The first one we landed hard on one occasion and damaged it, saving it restored it completely so we're inclined to believe it was hacked. TL:DR - Do helicopters mistakenly despawn more often than other vehicles? Do hacked helicopters bug out (disappear/not save)? Does anyone else have there helicopters stolen quickly?

there is a group who is hiding vehicels outside of the map on a server. they move the vehicles every 12-20 hours so they wouldnt despawn...

but you miss something .... why the hell is every vehicle broken?! its a normal city and before the zeds came there where thousands and thousands of cars ... i think there should be more vehicles esp. bikes and cars ... but thats another thread :D
