on the DE 884 server i think vehicles are not saving. is there any reason for that? we repaired like 4-5 vehicles and on the next day none of them were where we left them the next day. i dont think every single one was found? also for a while you could get out of a vehicle if u crashed it into something and it was orange/red, save it and it would be repaired again. wtf is going on are those things i mentioned common bugs or specific to the server? edit: oh and also: tents seem to refill after each restart. how can all of this be?

For some reason on Lingor Island I can't repair vehicles or do anything to them. I can get in and drive them but I can't repair. Help please D:

Simple, and too the point, is there any way to force a vehicle to respawn? As we all know, currently, when a vehicles crashes, or blows up, upon the next server reboot, it pops back up where it was in working condition, often in full repair even. That would seem all fine and dandy, but it isn't. It doesn't give other players any chance to find vehicles in their spawn points. I'm not asking this because I can't find cars, I'm asking this because I'm getting rid of cars, and I would like to see vehicles properly respawn at their points rather than pop back up where it died, same with the heli... which is crashed.. in debug.. in the ocean. Any one have ANY way of nuking a vehicle, and it NOT coming back?

I hope, this is the right forum for this question. Today I`ve stolen a UH-1H Huey and escape with him. After 15 min i saw the message: "serverrestart in 10 min". So I decided to land. I searched some minutes for the "Save ..." buttom. 1 minute before the restart i logged out as the pilot. Then i logged in and off he went. So my question: Is there a specific time when i have to save a vehicle before the server restarts?

Okay so i am the owner of FR 82 and i have seen no vehicles at all in over 2 weeks i dont know if people have just saved them in stupid places or what but is there anyway to reset vehicles on my server? Any help is useful cheer :D

Okay, so, recently I found that some vehicles can spawn with loot (only noticed for sure when two ATVs had the same gear at their spawn location) but upon encountering a UAZ at its spawn point, it contained "RGO Frag Grenades" in the gear amongst some other items that I know are fine. Are these grenades legitimate? They can't be hacked since they spawned on a broken car at its spawn point (new server), but I just never found them before.

We just need more. the fact that there are more Assault Rifles in this game than there are bikes is weird... and the amount of vehicles in dayz ( 2-3 per server ), makes absolutely no sense. ( i understand that there shouldn't be a lot of helicopters, but i would say 3 max ( one for each airfield )) let's say for example, i'm in my backyard and a zombie comes out of nowhere, eats my face and i die. My car wouldn't just blow up out of no where. In real life, the car would still be intact. that being said, i understand that having a fully fixed car spawn wouldn't be that much fun either. so what i'm suggesting is that, enable more vehicle spawns, but still make it so that you need to repair the said vehicles. ( repair 4 Tires, Engine parts, Fuel tank, and 4-5 jerry cans, That in itself takes a lot of time if you're playing solo. getting 4 tires from high loot industrials back to the car spawn to try to fix it, let alone being able to find a repairable car. ) as of right now, only the server admins on the specific servers are the only people who are able to obtain and maintain their vehicles. for example, I killed an admin and stole his car. The admin can then proceed to do many of these options that i've been faced with 1. boom, ban hammer 2. temp kick 3. server restart/rollback I know there have been topics about Vehicles but as long as i've searched for none of those topics have mentioned the fact about why there shouldn't be more vehicles.

And another server gets screwed by hackers. My group had a vehicle or two spontaneously disappear, then one of my group decided to check Skalisty Island for the chopper after a respawn. What do you know, a whole crapload of vehicles are out on the island, including two Ural trucks that had mysteriously vanished overnight (same gear in them as before, definitely the same ones) and even two boats in the middle of the island. I don't know who's doing it, but I'd advise avoiding US 322.

US1896 just went up, I saw many vehicles in their original spawns. The busses were even in chern and elekttro. Just figured I'd let some people know. Have fun (:

"Hackerbros" are posting server maps with players tents and vehicles on the /vg/ thread on 4chan. Just a heads up, your tents are compromised. Hackers are ruining this mod.

I've been playing DayZ for about three weeks now, and I've pretty much done everything from raiding the NWAF to sitting in Elektro killing everybody I see. One day I decided to give vehicles a try, as they are pretty much mobile storage. I gather up my supplies and toolbox, then quickly find something wrong. Every vehicle spawn location I go to, there is nothing. Server hopping quickly ensues. After about an hour of server hopping for each of 3 vehicle spawn locations I tried, I found one ATV on one of the most low-populated servers I could find. I happily load my gear up and begin driving to the NWAF to stock up on goodies. Satisfied once I reached my target location, I logged off for the day. This is where shit starts to hit the fan. I get back on DayZ and filter through the servers to find the one with my ATV. I find literally nothing. I remember a server in which the same thing happened after I pitched a tent and stored some of the rarest items in the game. I was frustrated. I was so frustrated, I took it upon myself to find a reliable server that had an ATV. I server hop for a good two hours, then finally find one. Again, I head to the NWAF and proceed to accidentally flip my ATV. Deciding to wait for a server restart, I decide to call it quits for the day. The next day, the ATV is gone, and it wasn't in a populated area at all. It was along (as far as I know) one of the least used roads near the NWAF. My only conclusion is that a server restart made it disappear after I did indeed save it, or that some guy just got extremely lucky. 3 ATV's later, and here I am. I have gone through about 5 ATV's putting up with these servers that like to fuck with me. I have lost assault rifles and sniper rifles due to this. At the time of this post I'm sitting in the middle of nowhere because the server that had an ATV next to me seemingly disappeared into thin air. Sorry for the ranty nature of this post, but as of late vehicles have come to annoy me greatly. If you guys have anything to add or want to point out anything I should know, it would be much appreciated.

There are absolutely no vehicles or tents on one of the Servers I run, I used an admin tool just to verify if there were any vehicles on the server. My group's base is basically gone, the vehicles we had, the tents we put down, even my own base tents are completely gone. I am not sure if this is a hoster problem, the only file I messed with was the Battle eye ping limit one. Need more info, let me know.

Hello, For the past few days our clan server has had their vehicles suddenly despawn, even while using them. Almost every time we get out of them we select 'save vehicle', but sometimes they'll suddenly just despawn entirely while in use, once nearly killing two people who were in a fully green UAZ. Unsure how to fix this, is it a server setting we're missing or something more grave? Vehicles also seem to despawn while not in use as well, but it's not as obvious when that happens.

So our clan found a truck a while back and managed to get it back to our base. We had to repair it quite extensively before it was drivable. Yesterday, the truck was stolen from our base by a small group of enemies whilst only a few of us were online. We chased the truck as far as we could on foot and one of our members managed to find it whilst on a bicycle and shadow it for kilometers whilst other people got into position. Eventually they stopped and whilst they weren't looking at the vehicle, he jumped in and drove off as quick as possible with the enemies in persuit, whilst a few of our people got into position to ambush them. The truck got its tires shot out before they could be lured into the ambush, and after an exchange of fire the enemies ALT+F4'd to try and survive. With the tires out, the truck wasn't going anywhere. Whilst this was happening, I stumbled across an operable bus while persuing the truck on foot. I waited for two of my clan mates to catch and we drove the bus back to base. A group then set out to try and find enough tires to repair the truck and get it back on the road. After serveral hours of searching, the group finally managed to get enough tires back to the truck to repair it, and we had a fully operable truck and bus ready to head back to base. Then the server restart message came up, saying the server would restart in 10 minutes. We saved both the bus and the truck, and then kept overwatch on the vehicles until the server shut down. When the server restarted, both the bus and the truck were gone. We traced the exact route the truck and bus had taken thinking it might've been spawned somewhere else on server up, but could find neither bus or truck after several hours of searching. All I can really say is that this majorly blows. The time my clan spent chasing the truck, the fighting to get it back, the time spent searching for tires, and the time spent driving down in the bus to give support were all wasted. Every minute of it. Now we are down a bus and a truck, and several manhours of work. I hope this kind of thing is fixed very soon.

I know its done like once every few weeks but with the large amount of hackers from the last few days, practically every legit vehicle has been placed off the map.

Are Vehicles/Tents Saving OffMap? I've been looking for some of the larger vehicles and have to wonder if anybody has managed to or seen vehicles/tents being saved offmap? Developers? Comments?

Me and my couple friends started playing on the Norway 25 server when it was relased. On our journey we found 2 busses, 2(5(3 flipped, gg)) Atv's, 1 Motorcycle, Helicopter, Hatchback, GAZ, Ural. Yesterday (1.8.2012) Around the 5-7 o'clock server restart (GMT+2), All of our vehicles were gone. You may think they were stolen BUT! We always move all of our stuff we find in our "rides" around Chernarus to our tents because we once had our camp inside Ural and that Ural got stolen while looting Stary. So why the tents weren't stolen? 1. Someone found our helicopter and destroyed our camp from air and he didnt see our tents? 2.There is a bug that my friend told me that other group had had it(Vehicles Disappeared while serv. restart(it was on forums(no link))) 3.Admin found our camp and destroyed the vehicles cause we had so many and wanted to share them. 4.Hacker(!!!OR!!! Admin) resetted them??? to get them to his camp? Did anyone else have this kind of problem? Is there a way to reach the admins? (Their Teamspeak server doesnt work (91.212.182.35) I dont know if its me or the host is down)) If i am right, there's no refund or anything? Please tell me if there's a different section for this kind of posts.

Well I experienced two cases that annoyed me. 1) Found a helicopter, explored some areas with it, and then server restart comes... When we came back with my friend that helicopter was disappeared (We were flying when the restart happened). That's just so stupid that we lost that heli just because of that! 2) Found Ural from it's spawn place, repaired the wheels and then started to drive. Approximately after 5 minutes of driving it exploded on a flat field, and I dont really know why?! Does it explode if it has bad engine/fuel tank? And Im sure that nobody shot that car. So I died and lost all the good stuff I had (as50, m249saw, nvg, rangefinder...). Is this normal and if it isn't, could it be fixed? Thanks for your attention!

Gentlemen, This midday, around 2 pm gmt+1, i entered elektro on us 21. At first seeing only a white pick-up, i figured it was a trap, but after that i saw this: My theory is that these aren't normally spawned in vehicles, but vehicles that already where in the map and teleported there. Any thoughts? A big thanks to Dayz Dan to reminding me about posting this, you are indeed cqfs greatest fan:).

So I'm playing the game since ~6 days, found some vehicles to drive. I just don't know how to repair wrecked cars... Well, I know that you need parts like tires, engine etc. to repair it but I just don't know which cars are repairable. I'm seeing the whole time damaged "cars" on the roads and stuff but it doesn't seem that they are repairable. greetings

So earlier I had a problem where people were being kicked for Battleye restriction 55 and now people are getting kicked for Battleye restriction 54... I searched the forums and google and can't find any information about this error. My recently rented server has the following versions running: DayZ 1.7.2.4 + Hive 0.7.2 ARMA2 OA Build 95417 The 54 error seems to be happening while people are driving vehicles and hit or run over any object. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Such as, what is the maxium amount of bikecycles, helicopters, busses, ect.
