6 days now...no vehicles...de 1606

Hello. So in the next week I'll be starting a YouTube series of me just going around blowing stuff up (sadly my Xsplit isn't upgraded yet so can't record anything for a few more days). Anyway my clan is pretty much providing me with a constant stream of satchel charges that they got from trades/raiding other camps/whatnot. I therefore am open to be hired by others. What I do: Blow up vehicles Tents included (although flattened tents just come back straight after a restart so it's more vehicle ownage than anything). Optional: Waiting for the clan/owners of the camp to return to base before setting off charges for maximum humiliation. The catch: I prefer to attack/blow up camps/vehicles owned by those who cheat/abuse. I get no enjoyment from blowing up camps that people have legitimately worked hard to get and DEFEND. If you ever found another clans camp/server owners camp on any server and they ban you because you found it, I don't like that, therefore these types of people are my prefered target. Everyone knows the kind of people I mean, we get enough server reports of "admin abuse" by people being banned for finding camps. Instead of just reporting it, let me have a crack at it. ;) How this started: I have a friend who came to me yesterday because he was on a DayZ server (US199) and he was riding around on a pedal bike heading up north. Well he stumbles upon this clans camp and he says in direct chat that he doesn't want to raid their camp, well they start shooting him and he's forced to open fire and kill the 1 guy at the camp. So he moves a bit down the road and he stumbles upon part 2 of their camp, well theres someone else there and he to starts opening fire. Well he's forced to kill that guy aswell. Well after that he gets banned, basically because he'd killed the defenders (he wasn't going in to check tents, he just wanted his pedal bike back and to leave). Well then he gets banned because that clan had noone back at camp defending it. So I go in with my satchel charges and blow up: 1 Ural, 1 Flatbed, 1 pedal bike, 1 motorcycle, 1 red car, 1 ATV. Morale of the story: Don't ban people for finding your camp otherwise if I find out about it i'll be coming for you to exact some revenge for the common man (been banned in the past for finding peoples camps aswell and i'm tired of it). If you'd like my assistance in blowing up peoples camps: Send my a PM/Message saying: What they did to deserve such an act (not just gonna bomb people who don't have it coming) What server they're on Coordinates (general coordinates 1000m2 radius would be prefered as a minimum standard) Number of Vehicles (Blowing up tents just wastes my satchel charges) Why this is in Server General: Because it's the best place to put it, as I raid servers who're owned by those who ban for finding camps/other similar reasons

hallo jens after you rolled back 76 I cannot get on the server anymore :( any suggestions? - stuck on loading screen.... - now it shows 1.7.2.5 again....oh well - 1.7.2.5 works well, but as usuall no tents or vehicles on server until server hits 1200 i guess - now the server shows 1.7.2.4 again but it is 1.7.2.5 #it is a bug in dayzcommander ^^ (I guess nothing wrong with the server besides the unscheduled restart/crash around 10:00 server time which removed the tents/vehicles.... Question: Does the tent/vehicle disappear bug appear on the other servers aswell?

Our vehicles aren't saving AT ALL. Not positions, inventory, repair state, nothing. In fact there's always a motorcycle where our bicycle SHOULD have been and the bicycle is back at it's spawn point.

Our bicycle is replaced by a motorbike and then the bicycle appears back at it's spawn on every restart. It's extremely annoying, can't save the vehicles anywhere.

I would like to hear something from someone who actually has had a server setup that has had vehicles actually spawn.

I did a rollback on my server for 1.7.2.4, and the tents and vehicles saved again. Get rid of 1.7.2.5, this is one of those patches that shouldn't be released to the masses. There are so many issues with it.

If you read the other posts by maris you would have read that ours was lost to a battleye kick and it hasn't been back since in 13 days. And our second server is glitched and doesn't spawn any vehicles.

How would it be possible to know exactly where a camp is?: Like I said in the previous reply.. "If you read the thread you would see that someone posted and said we had an inside person from their group, and you can also see (if you read the post) that I said a friend was here earlier and gave me the location. A lot of times anyone finds a camp is completely by chance." Was server hopping involved? If so why even look for vehicles and not just loot?: No server hopping was involved, once again, friend gave me the location and I moved to that location which is when I started recording. I'm not sure what your second question means so idk how to answer it. You had plenty of time to shoot to kill and loot but you did not do this. Was there some sort of plan already decided upon?: From my previous reply... "I was waiting for a good opportunity to take out three people, when the ghille guy disconnected I had my opportunity because the camo clothing was looting a tent. After I shot the camo clothed person he disconnected, without dying, so I knew he would be back soon so I didn't want to stick around long looting. Also the ghille guy (which you see in the video) disconnected as well. So there are two guys who are at the camp location but not in game so you bet your ass I am not waiting around for them to show up." also, Where was the said helicopter in this video? If you watch it fully, you will see when I put it into slow motion when the helicopter is shown. But since you wont go through the video the timestamp is 4:40 in the video on the right side of the screen, watch in 1080p for a better view. Does that answer all of your questions?

You run, good sir. Let this be your guide for loot (clicking on the building(s) will show you what percentage certain gear has to spawn). It should take you roughly 40 - 50 minutes to reach the top of the map. The best places to find vehicles are along the west and north edges of the map, as well as the northeast most corner. I wouldn't even bother checking any spawns.

Run. That's why some people call DayZ "The Running Simulator." I've been alive about 15 days now and I've wandered all over the map several times over. Vehicles are over-rated anyway. they'll get you killed by attracting attention. A bicycle is your best bet...I think there should be more of them on the map.

If you're solo or with one other friend you'll get killed within 10 minutes of having a vehicle. Vehicles just bring attention to yourself and unless you are well equiped to defend yourself ie 4-5 people with decent gear you should avoid using them at all costs.

Alright so the server we are on resets every few hours but alot of the items/vehicle locations/items in the vehicles/tents always revert back to the original save. If we store stuff in vehicles and tents, when the server resets it all reverts back to the way it was even when we do the save vehicle/tent. Is there a way to save the server so we dont have to keep redoing several hours worth of work? If we drive a vehicle all the way to the coast and the server resets, the vehicle goes back to the location we picked it up at. Not the spawn location but the spot it was in at our camp. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know. Thanks

If you are on your own, surely a Bicycle would be sufficient, I find them everywhere! I agree with the other comment you dont need vehicles unless your in a group.

didnt had any problem with saving tents/vehicles

i had a couple of Vehicles server restarted and they went back to there spawn point not repaired so i spemt a good few hrs getting and saved them where i wanted them and they respawn back where i found them this is not funny

I'm seeing the same problem on our server. We've had vehicles and tents reset (disappear) when updating from 1.7.2.4 to 1.7.2.5, and now when the server restarts, the inventory of tents has been deleted. I cannot confirm if this is the same for vehicles. Vilayer; 1.7.2.5; 95883

we are on day 5 without vehicles... this hive bullcrap is getting frustrating for us as well.. We just park our characters next to places where we know vehicles spawn and log in to check them, restart the server and check etc.. I've heard of people past the 7 day mark still without vehicles.. starting to lose faith in rockets ability to keep this game afloat.

Exactly the same thing happening on BOTH of my servers, with different hosts. In summary, this is the issue: After a server restart, tents and vehicles go back to their last known status when at 1.7.2.4 If the server is not restarted, then the server is saving just fine.

Yep, there's been a lot of weirdness with this last patch. People spawning dead, spawning on the coast with no equipment at all and general angry little things that suck. I patched my server, logged in on the coast with all my stuff...but every vehicle I had saved was gone. Which really blew because I had spent two hours traveling the entire map checking every spawn point and had found 6 vehicles that needed repairing. I really wanted to have a crash derby event but alas, glitchy mod is glitchy.

Dez, man, don't go out like this. Getting angry is a good thing but use it to drive your goals in game. Rebuild your little empire on your server and shoot the fuck out of bitches. This is what the game is all about. Get some revenge! Find where your vehicles end up and get them back! Either way, you made the right decision. Having your camp and plans ruined is far better then having your server blacklisted.

why didn't you guys drive off in at least one of those vehicles and nuke the camp from Orbit?

Have the vehicles been raped by the owners? Are they all hidden out of map

I am very good at repairing and driving vehicles, I can easily navigate on the coast by using a boat, and right a flipped ATV in less than 30 seconds, and if needed I can fly a helicopter. Seems like every server has this problem some times. After a restart, vehicles and tents are gone. They will come back on the next restart or the one after that. I have seen this happen on both of my favorite servers. It happens pretty often. I think at least every other day. Some one else said it had something to do with lag to hive or similar. The server just doesent get the vehicle and tent info on startup and will run that round without them.
