We have some tents and vehicles saving on a normal hive server 1.7.2.5/95883. I stashed a bike at our camp , went back after restart and the bike was right where i saved it. Tents are duping but they are duping with the original save items inside whereas the fiirst tent we pitched and saved with items is empty.

Amins are not capable of spawning vehicles unless they themselves are running a script on their client. And locations MAY be in there, but its not obvious to me and I don't care to find out how and ruin my own fun. Come Join us at US 2830

hello! me and my friend have been playing this game for a while and would like some people to play with us we dont play on 1 server we are server nomads pretty much lol we find vehicles and supply's but it would be nice to have 1 or 2 more people PM me and i will get ya into our TS3 and we will play some DayZ!

Saved tents and vehicles don't get reset at the daily server restart.

Im under the impression that EVERY 1.7.5 server is bugged, tents and vehicles etc....they all reset back to the last save in 1.7.4 when it was updated to new patch on a side note, we have a location of a fully working chopper that was saved in 1.7.4 then after the update always resets fully ready to go in 1.7.5 0_o

As one of the original people on the forum who used that line, sincerely please STFU. Never said nor suggested I was entitled to "bug free alpha", and before you go along with "DayZ forum standard reply #1" maybe you should check who you are saying it to. Do you hear me whining about the tents and vehicles not saving? Do you hear me whine about the lost backpack when you switch outfit? There are bugs and blah blah blah, I know and I don't care..that is how it is suppose to be. How it is not suppose to be is bugs severe enough to actually make your eyes physically hurt, lasting for over a month, do you comprehend that? And there is a fix, an easy fix..and it is been over a month.. This is not a "cry thread" this is a WTH thread. I have moved on to another games...but I still play DayZ. Problem? Didn't even work ½ the time for me (I guess you didn't read the whole post, which is fine...just don't reply then).. The thing is, like I said, this is trying to treat the symptoms, not the disease. If you have a tumour, do you cut it out, or just manage it, so it doesn't affect you anymore? And I even used to reply like you...but a month later, something has got to change. Well its finally come to this, they broke my spirit, i dont enjoy Dayz anymore, they broke me. After months of playing this mod i have had good times, bad times, and some epic times, but now i just dont see the point. To elaborate im going to start with a couple stories. So earlier in the months my friends Denton and Travis whom i no longer talk to due to differences in game opinion, got me playing Dayz, they had numerous laughs at my expence while i was learning how to play, including but not limited to giving me the Makarov pistol they dubbed the "Loyalty" Pistol and sending me after a group of ghillie snipers just to watch me get my head blown off by an AS50, or when they gave me a M36 grenade and told me to throw it at a wall, and due to a "bug" the grenade will knock the building down, so it was all fun and games for them while ol Ham learns how to play well eventually i got good at this mod, better than them and apperently the only way they have fun in Dayz, is if i suck, so they both quit and havent played since i became better. Well since then i have played with many fine people, some very retarded people, and some who are the bottom of the barrel, scum of the earth. And here is story number 1. So i met a guy who knew a guy who knew a guy who knew a guy who know a clan who was taking on new members but only from people they trust, so he hooked me up and got in, i looked at their forum post which is no longer up i assume taken down or locked by a Moderator or soemthing. Well the forum post stated they are a "Legit" clan that playes together and doesnt have camps and shit or dupes or anything like that, well after i joined, i added 8 people, i quickly struck the "Always on" portion of the post to full of shit because in the 3 weeks i had that trash on my skype only 1 was ever playing Dayz, and everyone time i met up with him he had a Hacked AS50 TWS he "got off a hackers body" but ill get into that later. So eventually the owned and host of the server Cole, got on and he told everyone on the teamspeak that the servers going down and everyone can go "Shopping" this confused me but lo and behold when the server came back up, tents fucking everwhere, Hacked AS50 TWS, an AK with a long ranged scope, some kind of GSR SD or something, a big fucking snipers that took up your backpack and main weapon slot, every hacked gun you could think of and then some. and i was dumbfounded, after 3 weeks i find out these guys are doing the EXACT FUCKING OPPOSITE of everything they said they were doing, right under your noses these people who claim to be the shining light in the ever growing darkness, are the embodiment of hackers and dupers, They have a very large number of tents in elektro and Misty Peak, as well as one very far off map only findable with a helicopter, and all their hacked gear is on an island about 10k off map to the east over the ocean. Oh and if you want the server number? US 220 you can only find it if you do the following steps: -Open Six Launcher or Dayz Commander then open any normal server -Instead of joining the server, click disconnect and go to multiplayer then search it there. If the server is locked, they changed it to the item server (When they explained it to me they changed worldspace to a server where they "Farmed" guns and decided to keep them in tents on a different worldspace and the hacked guns they "Traded" for. Anyway moving on, after i found out about it i took their more legit items, stuff you can actually find in Dayz and i left, removed them all and went along my merry way. Now comes to why i cant find joy playing Dayz, the day before yesterday me and my buddy Marcus, one of the only people who i can play Dayz with because he isnt like the rest of them, when we met i was trying to kill him because i thought he was the guy who killed me and i lost all my gear to, but later when we talked over direct chat turns out he was a new spawn who just found a gun and stuff, i tried killing him with a revolver but due to his quick thinking he eluded me till i ran out of ammo then asked why i tried killing him, hes the nicest guy in Dayz, but anyway me and him kept finding hackers and snipers and shit, so we found a low pop to run around and play and stuff, when we log in he find a V3S in the quarry, almosed fully repaired, so i run 5000m to him and we repair it and start driving north when we find a Hippy van, 2 vehicles! so we repair it and start heading even more north, and we find 2 boats spawned at one docking station!. So we are now 4 for 4. 2 Cars and 2 Boats, we decide to make camp up north, well on our way there we get a server message, today was the first day that server came up, thats why we found those spawns there, and quickly i thought hell we should check NW and NE for helicopters, so we brought the vehicles up north and hid them then ran to NE, from there to Berezino once there our Hippy van ran out of gas so we stopped to get some, and wouldnt you believe what we found, FUCKING SHIT ALL, no jerry cans or replacement parts or nothing, oh and then it got better, on my way back to the van i saw a guy filling it with gas, and as i approched him he had a ghillie will i pulled my M4A1 CCO SD out and lit him up, a full clip into his head and body and it did fuck all to him, no blood or nothing, great sign for this server, so he pulls his gun and starts shooting and i ran up the hill, when all of a fucking sudden ghillie suits start appearing, everywhere, like 8 of them teleported to us, after i got shot and killed i look and there were around 40 people on the server 2 hours after we got on, and then everyone on the server was killed, 30 deaths in the span of 2 minutes, great so all that work taken by hackers, after spawning in solnichy i ran up to where our camp was, demolished, the barbed wire was still there, the V3S was destoryed and still smoking, and there was a hacker box, with nothing but a Makarov with 1 clip. So thats it for me, im done spending hours finally having fun, then the rampant hacking just makes it not worth playing, and i now see the truth, every person who gives the "ITS ALPHA" speech, you are one of them, in one way or another you are one of them, you either have a dupe camp or 7, or you are a hacker, either way fuck you i dont care anymore, you win. You mean reset, as in reset along with all the saved tents and vehicles?

i dont think so there are many spawns for vehicles keep looking either they are at a different spawn or people have taken them.

Ok, so some of y'all may have seen my last post about the v35 and the 7 or 8 tents worth of stuff we took from some bandits. This story happened the following night: Me and my one friend had all this new loot and we decided that we could actually afford to lose it since we had quite a bit of every item. So, we decided I would camp at the back of the NEAF while my buddy runs up to the air control tower to place a satchel charge on it. My buddy had told me that one satchel will blow it up, so he goes and places it on the inside of the tower (I was confused as to why he didnt just put it on the outside, because I figured it would work better that way). After he places the satchel he immediately wanted to blow it up, but I was like "no, let's wait and see if anyone goes inside, so we can take them with it haha". He definitely agreed with me, so we ended up sitting there waiting for about 10 minutes until we heard a helicopter fly directly over us. We were on a server with about 30 people so we figured that the heli was a clan's or some hackers, so we decided we should go look for it. But before we left for the helicopter my friend wanted to blow the satchel. So we count down "1....2.....3.....BOOOM". Air control tower has a huge flash come from inside of it and stands there like it gave 0 fucks. HUGE FAIL. lol So anyways, after our huge fail, we decided to go up north east to look for the heli because that's where my friend said he heard it go. LUCKILY I decided that we should go straight north, and then go to the right once we got to this mountain top straight north. So we start of and begin crouch running this whole time because getting a helicopter has been our entire life goal in dayz. We have never seen a helicopter like on the ground or anything like that. (we did have hackers crash two helicopters into both of us with TWO seperate helicopters) So we start crouch running up this hill, and I decide for us to lay down and as we get to the top of the hill, I look between to trees directly in front of me, AND THERE WAS THE HELI SITTING ON A HILL ACROSS FROM US! haha I told my friend, "dude....I fucking see the helicopter." and he said, "bullshit dude, quit fucking around." haha so I convinced him to come lay down exactly where I was and he saw the helicopter. He basically started hyperventilating and flipping shit. Anyways, neither of us have actually ever flown a helicopter, but I've got to drive most of the vehicles we've found, so my buddy youtubed how to fly the helicopter haha we eventually crawled up the hill to the heli looking around EVERYWHERE with our l85 for enemies. We decided that the clan had gotten off for the night considering there was a huge number of people that had disconnected. So we get in the helicopter and he starts flying and we decided to go hover over cherno. So he takes off and we are just SO pumped to finally have a helicopter, and even happier that we didnt have to repair the thing like that clan must have had to do. So we get to Cherno, and I'm sitting in the gunners seat gunning at little guys running through barns and shit having a blast. Although I never actually killed anyone because the chopper guns suck dick. We ended up hovering over the fire station and I ended up getting shot like three times and started bleeding. The game let me use my bandages in the heli, but it wouldnt stop my bleeding so I was like " Hey man you have got to land this thing in the next like 20 seconds or I am going to kick the bucket" and so he quickly flew right outside of cherno and came to a hover right above the ground and I jumped out. (it was a very good manuever on his part for being a first time pilot) I got out and bandaged myself and we started flying back up and decided to check out Elektro, and as we get about half way to Elektro, we both get the NO MESSAGE RECIEVED error when the server gets restarted. I am only forced to believe that the owners of the helicopter were hackers, server admins, or buddies of the server admin. I was so fucking mad, especially because this was the first time the server had been restarted for something I DID. It was one of those things that you read about on the forums, but never believe would actually happen to you. IT DID.

For our server, 1.7.2.5 vehicles won't save. After repairing some and saving them, when the server restarts it just spawns back at the original spot where it was found and in the original state. It seems vehicles in 1.7.2.5 is totally broken. Tents will sometimes save and sometimes be buggy. I've searched the .rpt file and got to see when the buggy tent's explode at the WRITE attempt with some error in the code.

Sorry, i just sell the stuff to repair vehicles ... Are you able to transfer vehicles from one server to another. I need tents -> FIRST PRIORITY Of course you can make me any offer you think is fair. I dont need : GPS (sorry), NVG, AS50 ect, the only gun i need is a M249 (SAW) and M240.

@Mr. Two: The main items that 'wear' on semi auto/automatic guns are moving parts. Springs, bolt assembly, etc. Unless they implement the ability to find or build a machine shop ingame, there are relatively few user servicable parts in an assault rifle. Cleaning should be a factor as well. The higher end gear should only be repairable through replacement, really. I wouldn't mind seeing a system similar to vehicles implemented, where you've got an M4, with a receiver, back stock, forestock, bolt assembly, firing pin, main spring... Maybe trigger assembly? All of that as well as modular optics/attachments where applicable. Break them down into main components that can be swapped out from other rifles if desired. Make the ones that are interchangeable across models IRL interchangeable in game.

5 minutes of gameplay? Not sure where you got that from. I was killed by a hacker, so this guy told me to follow him around. He didn't kill anybody other then hackers on the one server I was with him on. Other then that he was jumping off mountains with vehicles. The gear I had before the hacker killed me was all legit except one guy I killed and took his as50 tws. The only thing I was missing was range finders. This guy offered to give me anything I wanted, so I took it. Why should I have to spend hours playing and die by a hacker and have to get my items again? The guy was talking to me in direct chat. After he left the server, idk what he did. He might of went to another one, i personally don't know or care. Stop being butt hurt because you die by hackers...We all die by them. Hell, he even helped two other people with gear who were noobies. I am sure they lost it by now though, lol. grow up and get outside for once and maybe you won't be so mad when you die to a hacker. Generally they don't hide your body, so just run back to it.

- Fact - Most hackers do not use god mode due to the fact it is easy to detect. And who is to say he didn't want to embarass me by killing me with a hatchet? Surely a normal player would have taken a gun while i wasn't looking and shot me just to be safe so that they didn't have to walk the 30 minute journey from the coast to poeda dam? This evidently shows that he doesn't care if he is killed as he can simply teleport back. Not to mention i have the entire FRAPS recording where i set the satchels ( took 5 mins ) blow them up ( took 2 mins ) then returned to the last remaining crate upon where i find Mr Sahnovich has returned. Impossible to run from the coast to poeda dam in that time. Perhaps if he got a lift from a clan he might have, but he never left the server, and there were no vehicles. Not to mention it would be improbable to make this journey in that time frame aswell unless a Helicopter was used - which it wasn't. Hey pointless, im in the same kind of situation as you. I've been playing for about 2 months now, mostly with small groups of 1-2 others. However, i recently went on vacation for a month and a half and every1 that I know that plays DayZ has quit, or no longer ahs the time. I'm from Canada, however all of my group members were from the UK so I always adapt to that time. (ex:being on at 6 am so its noon for them, etc.) I'm well experienced, and have tried banditry as well as being a survivor. At the moment, for the past week, I've been running around solo hunting vehicles with no luck :(. So, do tell me where it says I was up there for everu last kill I got? I literally had JUST flown my chopper up there. Yes, I have been up there before, but not for very long. And if you weren't paying attention to what I have been saying, I was already at -400k before the choppers were even rolled out. If you haven't noticed, the game is utterly broken right now. Tents and vehicles do not save.. and all the items in them are replenished upon server reboot. The vast majortiy of people have turned to Cherno/Elektro deathmatch. So excuse me for doing the only possible thing right now, as going out for loot is entirely pointless. If you must know, about 10 minutes after this thread was posted I got sniped off the thing. It's not the best spot in the world :P As for the TWS, I've killed probably close to 100 people who had one that were NOT hackers. They've infested the game. And they're not illegal. Cry about it. If it were up to me, I'd make em illegal. But since they're not and so many people use em, I might as well too. You cannot place tents on buildings. They fall through to the ground.

currently i dont have dayz but i have watched about 12hours of gameplay video and read everything on the wiki and from what i have seen i think this would be my main setup lone sneaky survivor/bandit this would probabley be my play style you avoid the cities you mainly stay north you play on servers with few people and you play at night time you shoot players on sight as they would likely do the same to you and you need more gear your allways very cautious scoping a area out looking for zombie bodies to tell if anyone has been there recently you allso set up 3 camps each surounded by booby traps and each with a couple of Vehicles secondary weapon M9 SD its the the only silenced pistol in the game as with all guns it one hit kills zombies with a headshot and that would be its main use a anti zombie weapon primary weapon L85A2 AWS its the only weapon in the game that has thermal vision wich allows you to spot any zombie or player even if they are wearing a guille suit instantly when seen through the scope unlike night vision the scope works just as well during the day as it does at night though offcourse if you play at night then most other players wount see you and zombies will detect you less easyly its allso likely the most acurate full auto assault rifle in game it uses a fairly comman ammo type 5.56x45mm wich you would find on many other veteran players you kill this would mainly be a player/bandit killing/defence weapon what about you what is your current gun setup or your dream setup

So after watching videos of OshiSeven, Sacriel, and Squirrel playing DayZ together as a squad, I'd really like to join or create one similar to them. I've looked on many forums, but they just don't have what I'm looking for, most of them are clans who only care about the best loot and vehicles. So if you know those Youtubers, you would know that they play maturely, tactically, and generally have a good time whatever the situation. We practically own the hardware our server is on we keep it open 24 hours with 2 clearly defined restart times, if it was a private hive then it really does not matter. And yes your right there are many severs to choose from and this is alpha, but I hope with the standalone server owners like yourself will not be able to abuse their privilege to hoard gear and vehicles it defeats the point of having a central hive and open persistent world.

Friendly (working in a kindergarden, not gay) viking from Norway, looking for other guys to team up with. Usually a nice guy, unless i got my PMS! My trait is that i am a devil at finding vehicles, driving them as well (cant fly a Heli though) Love countersniping the bastards up on "sniper hill", i can run/bicycle for hours to find a couple of nice tents and so on and so forth :) My RL friends play alot of SC2, and are not interested in Dayz, so i end up watching alot of streams instead of playing myself, i still think this game is more fun when playing with others, than do solo runs. A total reset please. Reset all cars and items. Vehicles are spread wherever and don't even save. Tents dupe everything including scripted weapons. Which bring little to no challenge to the game.
