Assuming that you are the server owner, thank-you for coming on the forums to address the issue. I really don't believe you were experiencing problems with hackers that night... But it's a nice excuse. FACT #1: There were only 8 people out of 30 on the server. Me, CaptainCrunch, 4 of your clan members, and 2 random people. Also, hackers typically only target high-population servers. FACT #2: Only a couple people were killed over the course of the hour (including one of your clan members - I believe your door gunner since he had no loot on his body) - indicating that no one was teleporting and mass-killing the server. Again, not a sign of hackers. If I had to guess, you probably thought WE were hackers seeing as how we fixed a helicopter at the same time as you guys. Hence: So just because you have a hunch, that automatically means to restart WITHOUT any proof? Besides, even if we were hackers, couldn't we just rejoin and spawn another helicopter? I don't understand the significance of restarting the server. It doesn't stop hackers. :s FACT #3: Asides from 1 clan member, no one else from [ETW] rejoined the server after restarting it. So why restart it unless it was to intentionally screw us over? Even then, why make it so obvious? All of your clan members rage quit after 2 died THEN, 5 minutes later, it restarts? Come on. Seriously? FACT #4: You did not post an admin global message warning of the server restart. Even if you did, and we had time to save it, the hive is NOT saving vehicles currently. FACT #5: I'm not the only player with complaints about your server and admin abuse. If you would've come on here, confessed, and promised to regulate server restarts (Example: "Server restarts will only happen at 12:00AM EST and 12:00PM EST") then perhaps you would gain the trust of more players. But when you restart the server sporadically in excess of 4+ times per day, you wonder why I can't say I'll be visiting your server again anytime soon.

I've been meaning to reply to your post earlier but I've been a little busy. We still haven't implemented Anti-Hax on our server BUT I see a large potential problem for admins who have this weekend. There were reports of mass deaths and all vehicles be teleported into the ocean.

yea i'm currently stuck floating mere inches above the water after a hacker tp'd all the vehicles to him and the admins closed the server, soooo i'm fucked.

After seeing a few videos on here and on Youtube of people having small parties around their camps, I had an awesome idea... One day, at a specific time, every server that is willing to join should host a Barbecue. Set up a camp somewhere on the map, bring all the vehicles, a fuckload of cooked meat, tins of food, drinks, build a load of fires, get some music on and just hang out for a while... Bandits and Survivors temporarily getting along and having a chat and a laugh with no fear of getting killed. There could be bicycle and motorbike races, free helicopter tours, truck rides etc. I know I may be expecting a lot, especially with a lot of people afraid of losing their gear or getting killed, but for once can't we all just get along and celebrate this amazing gaming experience? It may only be a mod in Alpha stage. It may be broken. It may be full of hackers and dupers. It may be full of people who KOS or combat log. It may be full of noobs who run through Elektro and Cherno shouting "friendly!" and then quickly getting taken out... But I'm pretty sure that nearly every single one of the million plus people that have enjoyed the experience that is Day Z will agree that no other game can make you feel like this one does. Lets all get together and celebrate, just for a few hours. If the soldiers can stop fighting during the first world war for a peaceful game of football (soccer for you Americans), then surely we can all put our guns down and just have some fun, even for a short period of time. I know I can't be the only one who would like to see something like this happen. We could make videogame history by having the largest simultaneous virtual barbecue ever seen :) Just a thought, feel free to get involved.

Tell him to come over here, we have had to many problems with vehicles and tents to upgrade. So we ended up downgrading, 1.7.2.5 brought us nothing but bugs. We would have our truck transformed into a bus or bike after a restart and all types of crazy stuff. So we decided it was best to stick with 1.7.2.4 until 1.7.3 came out.

Well tell them to A. Roll back to when the game was playable (tents and vehicles saves worked) or B. Release the new patch with the problem fixed within the next day or so. To us its like you break the game then completely ignore the problem, not one official statement released about this MAJOR problem..its like wtf are u doing

You would be correct in saying that, I'm just saying that 1.7.2.5 right now is a pile of garbage.. tents dont work, vehicles don't work thats why our server isn't even running it. Like I said HL3 will be out before we get anything better than the garbage that is 1.7.2.5. Who knows when 1.7.3 will come out. Dev time has surely slowed down a TON lately but I'm sure thats due to the standalone, or rocket just being a boss now with all that cash hes getting.

High-Powered rifles (ie the As50) are actually quite rare in the spawn values. The only reason you see/hear/get hit by a .50 cal every five seconds is because of snipers and dupers. As for military gear being more rare... Sure, they could be more rare, but remember that there was at least at one time a large military force present in Chernarus, which would explain the thousands of military zombies and bodies, and the hundreds of destroyed military vehicles. The reason for the weapons being there is pretty friggin' solid.

I get you point, i bought Arma 2 years before Day z came out but if your playing on a military game and raiding military bases shouldnt there at least be a small chance of getting SPECIAL MILITARY VEHICLES. ALSO id like to point out that the only vehicles in Arma 2 that would fit thoses discriptions are like LAV's with cannons on them so there would have to be major coding (Like making a mod for arma 2 and then compatibilizing(<=====Made up that word it)it with Day z

Well, I've hit an issue that hurts my quick transportation. :/ My server, has decided that the Helicopter isn't needed anymore. All other vehicles have spawned, though the helicopter is gone from my base. Weird thing is, nothing at my base was touched, the Urals, UAZ, NOTHING. :l I've checked all places that the Heli was saved in past times... Sadly, It's not there. For the sake of my transportation, is there any way to track vehicles as an admin? I know where is a vehicle log file, but it doesn't have any traces of anybody even flying the Heli.

So Two friends and I were driving around at night, NVGs and all, repairing a vehicle; a few clan players here and there but we're hitting factories and repairs are coming on fine~ We get west of Zelenogorsk at the Off-road spawn just to check see if it's there and might have parts or something in the gear. We find nothing but check the spawns; again everything is going smoothly. We start to pull out as the Off-road Pickup truck did not spawn, and a random person in a ghillie suit comes out of literally no where, running after us; my friend goes, "PLAYER! That's gotta be a hacker, he wasn't just there." so at this point we're shitting ourselves thinking we're going to lose all our progress to some ass. We notice he's completely unarmed. He starts running away and then runs backwards facing our vehicle. We speed away about 700m expecting to be insta killed any second and parked the truck. Run to a barn expecting to take on this guy who we believe may just again, kill us with a script. We're waiting; nothing's happening. We start talking about how fucking creepy it is and I realize, I pressed "P" instantly when I saw this guy and saw us three on this deserted server. My friend said he did the exact same thing; and the veteren player in the group assured us that Admin, Hacker, anyone could not show up in the player list. It had to be AI. One of my friends logged and my other friend and I decided to find out what that thing was. We made our way back to the car, parked about 400m away from us and he goes, "Oh, I left the lights on..." and I said, "I don't remember them being on when we left?" As NVGs plus light = VERY BRIGHT. -Seconds later- We get to the car, and there's the fucking Yeti/ghillie suit wearing guy, sitting in the driver side; My friend goes, "FUCK HE'S THERE." And kills it. Press P again, no players are on... We check the corpse, find nothing on the body. The Truck and the Lights had been turned on. ~~~~ So question, "What the fuck was that?" "Is this thing attracted to Vehicles?" As in, will find parked cars from players hording them? "WHY IS IT SO FUCKING CREEPY? IT MOVED LIKE A PLAYER AND GLARED AT THE STEERING WHEEL..." My mind is so full of fuck atm. Agreed with my friend. It's the creepiest fucking moment I've ever had in a video game....EVER. I remember a server join message that said, "Watch for Yeti's, they are going extinct. ;)" Is that what they meant? (Something I also forgot to mention aside from the post below. We found this server with our Yeti friend after being killed by a hacker who appeared from no where in front of our V3S. So all we or mostly I, could think about was how much suck was going to be had after losing another vehicle to a bloody hacker. Only added to our hysteria in the moment.) Also, if I may I would like to name the one who sought only to drive our car and into the hearts of millions and that is I like to think of the fun we may have had with a yeti on our team, but...sometimes that's life. Some may call him the slinderman, but he was no such thing...He had a heart of gold as our pants were brown. if only we had seen it sooner. Now he's dead...and in yeti hell.

Well, as far as I can tell, tents and vehicles aren't saving correctly atm, so I haven't bothered with them. I've found a couple in the last few days, hold on to em for a while, then end up dropping them for more important things like morphine.

LOL! And these tents had hacked in items like M40A3 and G36C Camo SD. AND there were 6 other users online with you who were all spawning local vehicles like the SUV and Land Rover, all of which were banned. Don't know what else to say.

Hey, I just wanted to start a dayz clan cause i'm tired of playing by myself. Anyways this is NOT a group for bandits or people who want to kill citizens. Edited: sorry in advance for the stupidly long post, I fail at message boards. The teamspeak is indeed passworded but the fact is that regulars on our server who show us that they are mature individuals are allowed on to use it and bring their friends on. They do sometimes join up with us and other times shoot at us, but because they act in a civil manor and don't go around spouting enough whine to drown France in we have no issues with them being on. On the logging in thing, even though in this instance I was not about, so what? that's the point off being in a clan or having friends. The game/mod as it is now holds very little interest for many of us other then looking for a fight and this fact won't change until they fix the tents, trucks and chopper and do a wipe of the hive. There are currently so many camps set-up by us and others on this server full of items that infinitely re spawn that we don't have a 'home camp' any more, there's no point as anything we need is littered everywhere right now, why gather in 1 location and make ourselves a target? You did, as Glanza pointed out, come across two old camps which have not been in use for several weeks due to them being compromised by a group of people who were caught hacking and caused us no ends of trouble for well over a week. We setup, used and left these places long before you showed up on the server so anything you found at them currently has nothing to do with UX. What people have done however is check these locations every now and then to see if anyone has started using them in the hopes of finding trouble. Now vehicles, unbeknown to VK I have a bike, its a very nice bike, requires no fuel and no matter how many tree's or rocks I ride into it never seems to break, I like my bike, its green! but this is the only mode of transport that UX currently has 'stashed' away, any other truck we find is generally used until it runs out of fuel or driven into a tree and then abandoned or blown up. This is because there is no point in having them as they don't save items and half the time don't even save location and I like blowing things up. We have tried so many times to fix the chopper for it to either de spawn after a restart or get deleted in mid-air by a hacker that we honestly don't bother with it any more, I have even stated many times on TS that if I catch any UX member attempting to fix it I will shoot them in the leg and steal their morphine. Honestly while I want more people on the server willing to put up a good fight, collect trucks for me to steal and blow up and raid camps (and hopefully when fixed clear out the tents on the server) I think if you find your current situation on the server undesirable that it would be best to find a new home... DayZ is nothing more then a PVP game/mod with a zombie themed logo and our server is no different. I would also suggest that, while my post does not help with this point, that we all just let this one lie, unless you have a legitimate complaint about rule breaking then simply disliking a way people play on their own server is not a cause for a thread. If you want to stay on our server then great, I look forward to more encounters with you, but please have a little perspective, we have several other clans playing on our server as well as plenty of other groups so not everything that happens to you is masterminded or carried out by UX. you are welcome to check out LU385 (ip: 94.242.227.202:2362) we are a relative new server that has a few regular groups playing on it. however we would love to get some more. i think we meet all your requirements and we got a good connection if you are located in europe i am a very active admin that you are always welcome to contact directly if there is any issues, and i try my best to be a good one. server is updated whit the latest security patch whit custom anti cheat protection. recently we rerolled to patch 1.7.2.4 from 1.7.2.5 so now all vehicles and tents are working again :)

I've had a camp on a decently populated server for well over a month with multiple vehicles and tents and it's yet to be found. It's still possible that my camp can be found but it is extremely unlikely. Also as a proud owner of a helicopter no one besides us has a camp that is mostly safe on the server we play on. It doesn't take a long time to cover vast distances and tents and vehicles stick out like sore thumbs from 200ft up.

With regards to Zippy we saw him on your Teamspeak we assumed he was in the clan.. nothing to do with UX... yes he's sitting on your Teamspeak..(which has a password) with all your clan (yourself included)... mate do us a favour get off your high horse.. check your 'bullshit facts' there's only one person talking 'garbage' here and that you and your cobblers. We saw you all log in. I think you're doing the whole thread a favour by 'ignoring me' because your clan already has one village idiot I don't need to deal with another one. Love it. UX have no vehicles... we've found a tractor and bikes near your 'old bases' which we happened to get killed at the other day. Cheerio

I saved a fully repaired, fueled, and loaded ATV and GAZ. Logged in the next day, and there out in the deep, deep, deep North, were two broken buses sitting where I had hidden the vehicles. I wasn't sure what happened, because I'm not sure how you get 2 broken buses out into the middle of nowhere, and one had a Mountain Dew in it. I assumed it was scripters or hackers because of the Dew, but you're the only other person I've heard say something about it.

Just letting you guys know you just had a hacker on the server. 5PM PDT 24Aug. there was only 5 people (including myself) online. This person teleported all the vehicles east of Nizhnoye. I was flying the huey at the time. It nearly broke but i was able to fly off, until he teleported me into the water killing me. I believe the player to be Nicoli as he is a name i havent seen on and the other 3 have been on before and for some time before this happened. I took a Screenshot of all players on at the time right after i died from the lobby. When I am on i'm in your guys vent with my group of guys that run around with me. Seen 3 of you on a few times in game but none of you ever come in the vent Edit: It actually is Memphis. I ran back to the vehicles and found him driving around and creating more. Update: I logged back in and recorded some footage of the place after he left the area as well.

So are most servers that are 1.7.2.5 experiencing despawning tents and emptied out tents after server restarts? I do enjoy fixing up cars and the suspense that some guy is watching me fix it up and shoot me once I'm done so they could take it away but doing that every night I play is kinda tiring. Vehicles despawn even though I save it and tents appearing empty or just plain vanish. Does playing on older version servers stop the despawning or is this just another server specific problem? I know 1.7.3 is coming out soon but there really is no official release other than other people in forums saying it after gamescon.
