http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/78540-the-chronicals-of-buffjesuss-last-dayz-character/#entry742885when im done playing ill make a compilation of the vehicles i found in the other 2 chars i literally couldnt stop finding vehicles cause i know how to play
  2. Sorry you can't wrap your head around these people causing issues, but there's a huge amount of people hacking items into the game, extra ammo, guns, that wouldn't exist without those scripts. I've found stashes of gear I could tell weren't legit, and it's really hard to say no to that... And he even admitted to teleporting vehicles around, as I've said before most of the time nowadays when people use scripts to get vehicles, they're teleporting an already existing vehicle or causing one to spawn at their spawn locations and teleporting that to them, depriving legitimate players of the fun that is finding random vehicles and fixing them up... The list goes on, server stablility, BattleEye wastes their time dealing with people like him instead of ThunderDomers because they have to deal with everything that comes their way, it's just how it works... Server admins have to clean up the messes they make... Anyways. I'm done here lol. I'm hoping this guy isn't just some fucking troll, maybe some logic will hit him eventually, who knows... Also he said he gave his mates gear, who knows exactly what they did with it? lol...

    My Hacking Adventure!

Finished the video now. Not to shabby I guess... I wish servers could be more custom, not that I'd want them to be anything like this just with maybe the ability to change spawn percentages. More vehicles, less good gear, ect. Whatever the host wants or what ever the players want. =P

    Cars rare ?!

I think that's a tad of an exaggeration but still, that's more or less what you want to do, find new servers. Better chances of finding vehicles there. I've still only run into a handful of vehicle spawns and I rarely join servers below US2000 ( The higher the number the newer the server, or at least that's what I've been told. )
  5. Hysterics

    Cars rare ?!

Try joining newer servers. Basically how it works is that when a vehicle spawns it's given an ID. If a player fixes that vehicle, and stashes it somewhere, the ID sticks and that type of vehicle will not respawn at the vehicle spawn point until it is destroyed. So on older servers the vast majority of stuff is already hidden, and in a lot better hiding spots than anywhere even remotely close to the NWAF. Also I believe when hackers 'spawn' vehicles, nowadays they're mostly just teleporting already existing vehicles, or causing vehicles that hadn't spawned yet to spawn in their original locations and then teleport them to them. If that makes sense lol. Creating a vehicle out of thin air raises more alarms on the server end of things, so most scripts have found other ways to get them. ( This is in response to the guy saying go to a high pop server, chances are you might find a random vehicle kicking around, but there's just as good of a chance as that vehicle being teleported away by a hacker while you're offline. )

    Cars rare ?!

dont play on 2 month old servers ive made 3 characters before i quit to play dark souls EACH server had default spawns on 90% of vehicles i literally couldnt avoid vehicles
  7. The term Hacker was appropriated by the media in the 90s to replace "Malicious Cracker" because some idiots out there would see the word "cracker" as derogatory and possibly racist. Ever since then, the word Hacker has, in about 95% of cases, meant exactly what we're all referring to.... Honestly, I hate seeing people try and mince words. The point is you maliciously altered code in a multiplayer game and it effected other people regardless of how you feel... This isn't a case of black, white, and grey, you are most definitely within the black shade of things here. It's not about being comfortable, It's simply that from the vast majority of peoples perspectives you're wrong. lol. If you were, for instance, constantly invisible, and avoided any contact with anyone, even your 'friends', and you didn't teleport vehicles around, then I could agree that you were in the grey area, and there are others that would still disagree because even those scripts cause server stress and give admins extra work if they are in fact being diligent. ( I ran into an invisible hacker the other day who and I'm not shitting y'all complimented me for being a 'true survivor' the guy had helped me fix up a truck I found, I thought there was just a random glitch because the truck had been missing quite a few parts, and when I came back to it literally two minutes later it was completely fixed up, wasn't full of gas but still had a quarter tank, and it was the Ural Civilian, lots of fuel space etc... The spoke to me about 45 minutes after I found the truck, told me he helped me fix it up and the bit about the true survivor thing, and then nothing. Didn't hear a word out of him afterwards, didn't see him... He was causing server stress by teleporting around and remaining invisible, but that's one of the only examples I could see as being grey. ) At the same time it gave ME an unfair advantage, as I didn't have to spend the half hour it probably would have taken me to fix the truck up... So yeah, It's not a matter of black white and grey, but more about how any little thing you do can effect other people, and if you're effecting other people that's unfair and well, bad. Also, regardless of it being Alpha, it's still a MMO in a sense. You're in a glitchy world, sure, test things out.... but everyone else is in the same environment, and this is the game we have to play, we shouldn't have to deal with other people 'testing' things. One last thing, as far as the argument about alpha being allowed to test things, first of all, these scripts you're using, THEY KNOW ABOUT THEM. You're not HELPING them figure ANYTHING out. At ALL. Seriously. BattleEye exists because this is a mod, the DayZ devolopers have no control over a lot of aspects of the original Arma game, which is where a lot of these scripts target. You're using a bypasser program, essentially wasting the time of the people who are trying to fix things.... You're not helping in any way shape or form, you're simply dragging things down as far as development goes... They try and block access to these scripts, and people like you find ways around their blocks. Thus "Bypasser programs".
  8. I sympathize with a lot of what you said, but this one quote kind of irked me. Just because It's in Alpha doesn't mean you should cheat, or that cheating is any less bad. Regardless of how you feel, what you did effected other people, the servers you cheated on, when you "spawn" vehicles, it can teleport peoples already existined and hidden vehicles directly to you. You ran a script, and didn't even know the full effect of it, you only saw the results... Also, when you silently gear up and move to other servers, let's say a bandit comes upon you after you're geared up, the Bandit Vs Survivor aspect is part of this game, regardless of whether you consider it lame, if there was no Pvp it takes a certain risk aspect away from the game, making it more lame. Now, as I was trying to say, you geared up silently then went to other servers, now let's say someone legitimately tried to hunt you down after you geared up, the player would be Pvping, but he wouldn't be cheating, and his chances of taking you out would be drastically reduced due to your hacked gear. I've only ever found a Gps, NightVision and a few of those other nice goodies off of dead bodies, never found them along the NW Airfield or other military area's... It's hard to gather up the amount of gear that a hacker can just script into the game in an instance, and regardless of how you feel it gave you an unfair advantage over other players... Honestly though, you should have given the game more time. I've been here for a few weeks now, and even though I've experienced many of the same things as you, random glitches, zombies going through walls, doors, and all other varieties of bullshit, even through all that I'm still having fun, and you know what, I really doubt I'd be having much fun at all if I could just get exactly what I wanted when I wanted it. Part of the replay value of this game is dealing with all the shit and still persevering. I'm incredibly fast at gearing up now, I know most of the routes to take from any given spawn point in order to gear up fastest and get on my way. I found a Ural Civilian truck the other week and fixed it up, and as you said used it as storage in the wilderness mostly, but how is that a negative thing? Having that storage space added immensely to the continuity of the game, allows you to store a lot more and actually get a feeling of progress... Honestly, I think you jumped the gun in cheating, and while many things frustrate me about this game, it's getting past that frustration and just learning the ins and outs of the game that I find the most entertaining.

    Cars rare ?!

Think for a second. Someone found the vehicle before you, and to stop noobs like you taking the vehicles they hid them. Think "If I had to hide a vehicle, where would I put it?" If you're too thick to work it out, check the edges of the map in dense forests.

    New Character Ability Ideas

You should be able to shoot a one handed weapon while riding a bike, or a dirt bike. Also passengers should be able to shoot out of vehicles.

    Cars rare ?!

Im seriously frustrated, ive been playing Dayz almost every day for three weeks and i have yet to see a vehicle spawn. Ive driven one truck (stolen from forest just beside NWAF, and a ATV stolen from inside hangar on NWAF. Ive been to like 90% of all vehicle spawn points and the vehicles are always absent. Ive played on mostly empty servers and rejoined servers that has just been restarted but no difference there (Does server restart affect vehicle spawns at all? I dont think so) Am i just extremely unlucky or am i doing something wrong? Ive played lots on high pop servers aswell, no difference there. Ive followed dayzwikis vehicle spawn point guide and also finecombed every city/place everytime. According to dayzwiki there should be around 49-50 vehicles per server. So why am i so unlucky?

    Banned on US 1633

I really need your name/IP so I can get this taken care of. I apologize that you got mixed up in all that, but a large number of folks on at the time where hacking in guns and vehicles. The admin that died had a guy teleport on him, we made the decision after it happend.
  13. Yeah, we have saved countless times but it still doesn't help. Maybe it's different for every server? Does anyone know if some servers have a better memory for vehicles and tents then others? I don't see why they would, but who knows... getting really annoying and making the game pointless to play until this is fixed.
  14. I am always on this server, and it occasionally has an issue where NOTHING spawns on the map, no loot, my vehicles, and tents are gone, and this happens to others that i have talked to on this server. This has been fixed every single time just by waiting for the server to restart(my vehicles re-appear), however ths can be quite problematic when we are in the middle of something, so I would like to contact the admin in the case of this issue. If you are an admin or owner of the server, please add me on steam: http://steamcommunity.com/id/ThorrLucky/ If anyone knows how to contact them please add me aswell.

Hacking is getting out of hand.

Honestly, it's more that I can't play for five hours without getting teleported into an ocean, or 100 feet into the air, or simply instakilled while in a spot you couldn't even be sniped in. I've looked at some of the hack websites, the list of shit they can do with those scripts is literally endless. Anything you could imagine them doing, they can do it. Some things get them noticed faster, but the simple truth to it is that BattleEye can be COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY blocked by those script kiddies. It's two parts. There are the scripts, then there is the BattleEye bypassers. You need a current bypasser to avoid being banned, but even then Server Admins are able to look through logs and notice scripts, and ban them from individual servers, the server I play on, when the admin is online, I see about 10-20 people get banned, every, single, time. It's disgusting how many people hack. It almost seems like the average player nowaday hacks, people who aren't even teleporting around or spawning vehicles, they just use the really hard to notice hacks that spawn legitimate weapons and ammo. It's fucking ridiculous how many people hack. Personally I considered it myself, not to grief people, but more in order to prevent myself from being griefed. Like I actually found a legit Ural Civ the other week, fixed it up, and had a hacker screw me over and make me lose the truck. I was so frustrated, those things are so hard to find and I've always wanted one, I finally find it and bam I get some fucking script kiddie screwing with me. So I considered getting a script myself, and replacing my Truck. But I didn't... I don't want to be part of the problem.
  16. So I ALREADY KNOW a million people complain about hacking constantly, but I just want to say HOW MUCH ITS RUINING THE GAME. I actually play w/ a buddy of mine (who just started hacking) to see what its all about. Its an unbelievable advantage, and HOW THE HELL can battleye not stop this? They run scripts (issue w/ game engine itself, i get that) that can be shut down, but they just have to wait for the next bypass so they can do it all over again. And my buddy pays $15 bucks a month for "esp" hacks, that show players locations on maps, loot, vehicles...etc. I don't get it. I went to school for computer engineering, if you know there is an issue THERE DOES EXIST a solution. YA'LL BETTER GET THAT STAND ALONE GOING SOON, CUZ I'M BEYOND LOSING INTEREST IN THIS GAME, JUST CAUSE I CAN'T DO MY OWN THING CUZ HACKERS PLAY JUST TO TRACK PLAYERS FOR KILLS. SUPER LAME [user warned. -Max]

    Survivor Colony!

thats not a bad claim...considering our entire medica/security unit was just wiped out (8+) by two hackers. all for trying to save ONE survivor with a broken leg. if you have your own servers (with passwords) i do believe thats not allowed at this time. so if you have other hacker-controls in order, plz share. because the rest of us are dying to play on a hacker free server. its bad enough we have glitches/server issues destroying vehicles and personal items that we collect legally.... so if you found a proper way to deal with them (possibly by having onsite admins at all times) then nice...share the knowledge :P
  18. As I've suggested previously, admittedly in the wrong place, I think something needs to be done with the grass texturing, and popping in general. I understand there are limitations in the graphical system of the engine, however I've suggested before that the current system of grass popping out only a hundred or so meters of the player is not quite ideal for long range encounters with players. It really makes spotting players who might not think they're visible on their screen, stand out like black on white on anothers who is a distance away preforming overwatch or what have you. And in the effort of realism I think its definately something that should be looked into, given that stealth and sneaking should be viable, even if you do have to cross somewhat bare fields. And also the current texture popping of trees, rocks and other things whilst running through forests etc are quite unappealing when your out looking for tents, or just being cautious of players. I believe it desensitizes you a bit to the reaction of a player actually popping out, or missing a tent that you didn't see because trees pop in and out. The same really applies for all distant objects, I can't count the amount of times i've been wandering the north and seen a tent under a tree from 500 or so meters away simply because the trees didn't load at that distance. All this goes to say of course that players should not be able to disable the view distances of such objects, in the name of balance. Even if at lower settings its not quite as detailed, it should do its job of concealment regardless. That point asside, I think the standalone could use some more vehicles as suggested, but similar to the armory in arma 2, there should be things like civilian helicopters from news buildings or buildings like hospitals and fire stations, which are unarmed, but still do the job of a huey, making them less prized, but still a fantastic find.

    US 1719 Cheater

A hacker by the name of :GB: Donald. it started at 11:30PM ET till 11:40PM ET, driving back from Stary sobor with a friend, we came across said hacker spawning vehicles. we had killed him as he got out of his car, while looting his body he respawned back at his body somewhere outside of elektro. my buddy had killed him again and we drove off in our bus. my buddy picked me up in elektro and as we were driving along the south shore going east he respawned inside a new vehicle attempting to kill us again ramming into our bus making my friend start bleeding, we ended up killing him again but as we were driving off he destroyed our bus when he wasn't around us! the bus broke down and caught fire, we lost all of our stuff and he killed my friend afterwards when he wasn't even around us. fortunately for us my friend recorded this things with fraps and if need be we can provide video evidence that he was hacking. justice needs to be served here. thanks for your time Ryan
  20. The tents are probably the main reason that made me stop playing for a few weeks. I'm waiting for a fix of some kind, it's really sad, i have everything i could possibly want, so the tents at this point are like a new objective or something like that, and they just won't save anything. Lost a lot of stuff at the first time i tried, i was dumb to put so many things inside it instead of just one can or something. Now i'm kinda waiting, i don't know about the vehicles since i only have a bike, and so far it's saving properly (but i don't know, maybe it's just the bike?).
  21. As far as I know there are specific save intervalls, if you miss them the gear will not be saved. Same with vehicles. The exact timing between the saving intervals is unknown. But its likely more then 30 minutes. There is no point in driving around if the server restarts in about an hour or something because you dont know when it was saved the last time. Rocket mentioned it in some tent thread. Cant find it again though but you can imagine it like the server saves your stuff every hour (thats just random guessing) and you have to try to catch the right time. We lost dozens of vehicles because of sudden server restarts and we spawning at the place we lost connection but the vehicle is just somewhere 2000m away where it had its last forced savepoint.

    AU2 Server - Invisible Hacker

THIS HACKERS NAME IS CHURCH. TODAY AFTER HE APPEARED TO BE DEAD AFTER BEING SHOT AND HIS M249 AND HIS GHILLIE SUIT LEFT ON HIS BODY HE REAPPEARED HUNDREDS OF METRES AWAY AND DESTROYED 2 VEHICLES IN THE SPACE OF 3 SECONDS USING A GUN THAT HE THEN PROCEEDED TO KILL EVERYONE NEAR THE CARS. HE EVEN ADMITTED TO BEING A HACKER BEFORE KILLING ME. We all attempted to shoot him but he would not even take damage.
  23. The server is filling up...but there are murderers everywhere! Let's build a fortress in Cherno and repel any bandits :)
