Exactly, if you're tired of walking find any of the vehicles that are already in Chernarus and fix them up.

This is a bit far fetched and maybe this idea isn't right but I think something around this. Basically my idea is to have a new item. Car Clamp - Rare item found in civilian and farm loot spawns that you can place on any road vehicle to clamp a wheel, Up to 4 clamps could be placed on a vehicle and it would give the effect of the wheel that is clamped being un-functional. This could be used so you can store your vehicles a bit more safely but they can still be stolen because... The way it would work is that every time you hit it with a crowbar a 5 seconds animation plays that has a 1 in 100 chance of breaking the lock and a 1 in 2000 chance of braking the crowbar. This would be fairly effective considering the car clamp would be a privileged item so someone getting 4 would be well earned and therefor they will get a more secured vehicle. Like I said at the start, This is only a idea of something along these lines to secure vehicles a bit more at a extra cost.

A complete wipe just for the sake of wiping is probably going to drive off a lot of the people who are still sticking around even with the non-functional tents, broken vehicles, and random deaths and warp-to-the-coast-without-any-gear stuff. I've been warped to the coast without gear twice in the last couple of days alone. The over abundance of weapons will eventually sort itself out if they fix the bugs allowing it to happen. We've all seen how quickly people who spawn in heaps of weapons lose them. -

You do understand that your argument falls flat, correct? Go back and read my argument- you'd notice that I kept the losses proportional. You didn't. I never said nor implied that it did. I'm starting to think that you're a fan of irrelevant points. That's one possibility. First of all I will address your concerns in a polite manner, something in which you seem incapable of doing. We do not have all the vehicles. The server is used, 905 used to be run by someone else. Many of the vehicle spawns are covered in barbed wire. We can't delete the barbed wire yet, we're working on figuring out how. We've found a ural, a gaz, and a red car, and a white truck. All of which have been stolen, recovered, stolen again. We've left busses, the white GAZ, and other vehicles in town for others to use as we believe hoarding vehicles is no fun. Just today I shot two people off an ATV that we then left, repaired and fuled at Balota. I like how you come here and spew nonsense without any kind of proof. 905 is a hacker free envronment, we encourage everyone to come play and fight, make alliances, trade, or be a bandit. Don't come and lie about our server, try playing on it and enjoying yourself instead. -
Here a few Ideas I've come up with. Hope you like. If you agree please say so and if not then why. -A new challenge - Find out how this happened, Be able to learn archaeology, Restore Justice, Form tribes, clans or armies. etc. -Hitlist - Be able to pay people on a hitlist to kill people, or if you witness people kill someone the ability to report that. Bounty's etc. -Revamp zombies AI. -Some form of Unique "Professions" - Building, building your own houses etc. Electrician - Ability to fix electricity issues, Archaeologist - Dig up artifacts about the creation of the infection. Engineering - Repair cars, vehicles. and more. For each profession, you need to level up to gain boosts. For instance, Archaeology, reach level 10 archaeology to gain 5% chance of finding artifacts. -Auction House - Sell weapons, gear, equipment etc. -Humanity, reputation. - Be able to gain reputation from different towns, after 250 rep, you gain a 10% discount at stores within towns etc. Not exact just an idea. I'll add more Ideas when I get them.

Vehicles are completely FUBAR as are tents. Yesterday my Huey turned into a tractor. It didn't fly so well. -
Yeah it sucks how they flip all the time, but on the plus side they are one of the few vehicles that generally can be saved properly in the current version of DayZ, most other vehicles respawn on server reset at the moment.

Tents are still here but all the vehicles on the server are gone... is this due to the hive crash we had last night? or is this only on here? Vehicles haven been saving on the server and always re spawn at their bases after every restart but now it looks like they are all gone.

Have you EVER broke a rule in your life? Have you EVER gone 1 MPH over the speed limit? The way you talk on these forums, you NEVER do anything wrong, you follow every rule and law known to mankind. Sometimes commonsense has to kick in. If someone is using something that was NOT intended to be used, they are CHEATING. I can't say why the DayZ team sees fit not to do something about it, maybe they are just lazy, maybe they don't give a damn, I don't know. What I do know is that people who use weapons and vehicles that are not intended to be in the game will not play on our server, and I bet the majority of the other SA's out there agree with that. -
Saving vehicles and tents.

I agree, our server is doing this. You can pitch a tent and place items into it. after you save that tent it will save the items BUT you can only get those items from that tent now and it won't save anything else. As for vehicles they won't save at all and the helicopter will reset its locations every server restart. -
I logged onto a random server the other day to get a quick adventure in before heading out with friends. As soon as I joined (on the outskirts of Cherno) I headed inland, northbound. Shortly after I hear some buzzing. I follow the buzzing, getting closer and closer to the downed player. I find her body. No loot. "Damn", all of a sudden I notice a bicycle on the ground! We have vehicles randomly saving on 2.5. A bike and a bicycle we stashed at camp ,and only saved once we got to our camp, appear after a server restart ...sometimes. We have three tents and only 1 of them saved its items inside after the initial first save. The tents all duped an empty tent which is annoying as we know have six tents but only one that worked :) Bring on the patch !

CA 20 & CA 24 | Zombie Infection Server Discussion & Suggestions

So ive noticed Arma2 server engine responds better to frequency (ghz) than it does cores. So ive upgraded the server to an AMD FX 8150 with 8 cores and overclocked it to 5.1Ghz. It should have less issues now with interactions with vehicles and what not. If this upgrade proves to be more stable ill update the player slots =) Also have a image of the new box. -
No, you load it with stuff then you save it. Otherwise it'll save an empty tent, and upon restart it will be empty. 2.4 saves vehicles fine. State of tents unknown in 2.4 (to me anyways).

Ok so I can only save it once? and then load it with stuff and it will save it? what if I save a second time after i take something out? and does that work for 1.7.2.5? or only 2.4? what about saving vehicles in 2,4? cos I saved the bus every time i got out of it today, should I not do that? I'm a little confused since this is the first time i've tried making a camp.

go to 1.7.2.4 or vehicles/tents will keep "wild" about saving -
loollol sorry I somehow decided that it was about body armor :blush: I was talking about motorcycle jackets like this: http://image.made-in-china.com/2f0j00VMramBwzkdcP/Motorcycle-Racing-Jacket.jpg About the vehicles armor, its a good idea I remember the huge zombie-proof truck they had in some movie (28 days later or something if i am right) and that could be interesting if we could build one in game. we will be able to create mobile "base" using Ural or V3S. this can be easily done in Arma, there is attachTo command, you can even attach plane to truck with it (lol I think i'll try this in the Editor :lol:)

ok so ive got all the gear i need (range finder, nvgs, coyote pack, m16 holo sd, m9 sd, and all the tools) so i have been trying to make a camp the last few days ive found many vehicles on a few servers and i repair them just to find that they are gone the next day when i get on even though i "save them" and i even did an experiment to see if they are being stolen by parking my v3s by a ural that wasnt repaired and repaired the hull ONLY so that if i got on the next day and the v3s was gone i could check to see if the ural was differently repaired or not repaired at all but today wen i got one the v3s was gone but the ural was repaired differently... hull still intact but other stuff repaired as well.... how do i know if my vehicles will despawn on a server and how can i prevent them from doing so on those that dont?!?! -

hey, I've just started up my own server that's private with a password on it. I want to use this server to make youtube videos so its not a proper server. But I cant be bothered to spend a whole night stockpiling all the weapons for use in the videos. I don't want to hack the items in as I don't want to risk getting banned but I swear there is a way I can put the server to spawn 100% vehicles that are fully repaired and edit my gear to contain certain weapons ect. I saw a video that you can use a program called navicat lite but for some reason it says "506 - curl_easy_perform: couldn't resolve host name" when i try an access a connection and it says "2003 - Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)" when I try and make a new connection. I'm not very advanced at all this coding stuff so if anyone could redirect me to a video that's perhaps helpful at guiding me in how I do this it would be greatly appreciated. The guy who did it was able to edit his gear but he didn't really do a proper tutorial on how navicat lite worked as it doesn't for me. I make it clear that I am not hacking and by no means want to, this is a private server detached from the dayz hive and its a server used by me and people I invite to help me record dayz machinima. Any help will be greatly appretiated on both areas 1. editing ingame gear of certain players 2. editing starting gear (not sure if this is possible but if anyone knows how please help) 3 changing server time 4. making all vehicles spawn fully repaired and fueled Any other information that you need please pm me or reply to this topic
