People play on the server from Australia to western Europe and have 150 ping and no lag in game. US players get 30 to 80 ping. The server runs Bliss, crashed vehicles are spawned every server restart, and the server is restarted every six hours. Additionally, the database is backed up every hour, so if we DID have a hacker outbreak, we can (and have) restored the database with only an hour progress lost for users. Additionally, the server is "not like all the others" in the case of hacker mitigation. We have a custom application for whitelisting users. Again, I'm not doing this for money. I have chip in links below the whitelist payment option, but the whitelist option goes straight to supporting te exact monthly cost of the server. A 7 day refund process is in place should the player not be satisfied with the server, granted they have no rule breaking strikes on them. -

You should have a reply already. Yes, from what i've tested the tents maintain their contents between restarts, and vehicles do not move. Just make sure you save them often. -
All the vehicles are normally horded by players in remote areas of the map.

Hello there Guys, recently I found an AS50 at a helicopter crash and picked it up, after that I found an M24 at the NW airfield. At the moment I've got both of them with me but I would like to drop one for some kind of assault rifle, the Problem is I can't decide which weapon I should keep they both have some advantages and disadvantages: - The M24 has unlimited Ammo because you can find it about anywhere - Downfall to that is, that it's goddamn loud - Another advantage for me: It's smaller than the AS50 Now about the AS50 -It kills about everything which includes Vehicles - It's somewhat less noisy - The Ammo is not that common - It's really big, like an Antenna on my back (waiting for the day to be struck by a lightning because of it :D ) Last thing I want to say is, I'm not a guy who's Camping in Cherno or Elektro. I only use it to cover my Buddy, to counter snipers who are trying to kill us or in rare cases to shoot vehicles that try to run me over (happened yesterday near Cherno :| ) Now, I would love to hear your opinion, which weapon to keep, which to drop? Thanks for reading and answering :) (If you find any mistakes, keep them, sell them on Ebay or something like that! ;) )

Clan (=~DFA~=) of Server US 179 are scripting/using vehicles and weapons which are not even in the game itself. Known Clan Member/Leader Pedfan379 or Pedfan347, one of those two names. Once accused, they immediately disconnected from the server. That is why I cannot properly remember their names.

Someone has to have the legit chopper, why wouldn't it be these guys? Also you seem to imply they hack in vehicles, then that they horde them... why would you bother doing both?

I have no idea if this question was posted before, it's late and i'm going to bed so i really don't feel like looking and i'm also aware that this is the wrong place for Q/A but tents and vehicles being broken, is this coming in .3 or a weekend update kind of thing anytime soon?

50% ? doubt that mate :D For me, this mod is dieing, if nothing is going to happen. I don't want to risk my gear on any server atm. because of a few reasons. - This patch sucks, vehicles and tents aren't saving = loseing progress sucks - Hackers are still common, would like to see further improvements asap.

It's a known bug in this patch. The problem is usually the newer servers out there. There is not much that can be done to fix it. Tents and Vehicles doesn't save, and upon server restart, the server gets cleaned up with nothing saved.

Heyas, I been playing for almost 2 weeks now, still getting used to DayZ but I feel a bit more comfortable now. My ingame name is HeronGuard (reference to an old game called Myth made by Bungie before Microsoft bought them^^) I am now looking for people that are close to my mindset, as it has been extremely tedious - in fact impossible - to make contact with anyone ingame through ptt. People either freak out and run away or start trying to find out where I am from the direction of the voice to just gun me down. I'll just give you my type of game logic I am having. 1) I'm a terrible target to shoot at, as there is nothing rare to loot on me. Given where you might find me, you are much likely to have "better" things already on you. Besides, seeing a hatchet/crossbow while he does not see you won't be much of a threat. Left mouse button is the most simple solution. Do as you wish, whatever the endgoal of pressing it, or simply don't and observe me for a bit, or approach me and give clear signs and ingame ways to convince me you are friendly. I won't flee but keep ways to avoid upclose contact with you if possible. It takes radical means to kill people. It also does to gain people's trust. 2) I won't shoot others and rather help; need blood? I never carry bloodbags, but I can provide you cooked meat and hunt animals in the surroundings until you're back on foot. Looking for something in particular? Since I scour the places a lot I do tend to remember where you could find what you're looking for if I saw them. I could go and help you, or if you rather go alone/only with your mates, I will just give you the directions. I won't lie to you as I don't see the point and even warn you if spotted or suspected hostile activity were near the area. 3) You/a buddy needs morphine? I might have one or two at best, if not, none ever. In either case, even if I have only one morphine shot, I'll give it to you. I've gotten used to crawl for hours when I'm unlucky and get mike tison'ed by a zed. Why? By moving slowly I actually found out that it helps me a lot to memorize the areas a lot faster, in details. Anything of slight interest for the modest wandering scavenger, outsider looking for water sources, likeliness of animals to hunt in given areas, I get to crank those in my head better. The crawling struggles simply ended up being the most efficient way for me to learn the map ^^ But hey. That doesn't mean you can shoot me in the leg after I give you my only morphine for you or your buddy :3 4) Things I will not tell: spotted military grade weaponry under any form. I do not want to help people who wish to gear up in the aims of being able to use such weapons, as they are clearly designed to gun down other players in a much more efficient manner. They are what KoS players wish to use more than any other type of weapon. I will however, should you wish to go to a designated area that will spawn these types of weapons, tell you if I saw/suspect player activity in the area you are wishing to go to. That's as far as I'll help on that department. 5) If I find tents/vehicles that have military weapons inside it, I will destroy it, or dish out the gear that I consider ill-purposed and save state it. Not joking. The less warfare available, the safer my travels are. 6) If you are a bandit/survivor/camo/gullie: If you try to shoot me and I see you, I will retreat at all costs. If I am forced to shoot back, I will. If I am fortunate in retaliation and happen to get you unconscious, I will unarm you if possible before you go unconscious. Yes, I will have room in my backpack to do this. This should furthermore tell you how little there is to loot from me. "What are you gonna do about those weapons then, keep 'em for yourself?" That's on 7). 7) If I want to opt for optimal cautiousness, I might even try to take out a zed nearby, transfer your weaponry to its body and I will hide the zed's body. It is possible that I use other kinds of tricks to make sure that you cannot be hazardous to my health once you wake up. I will not kill you however - if you are a survivor/camo/gullie, that is. If you are a bandit, you'll get what you give: death. I wish to keep my heroskin as it benefits my explorer style, running faster, so the only person I *might* kill is just the bandit that opened fire on me. I'm friendly but there is a line to draw. "But not all bandits are what they seem they are!" Idd it is true, KoS policy from better safe than sorry, shoot first ask questions later is, in a sense, an understandable way of thinking in DayZ. However once you have a bandit skin from this logic, you are forcing people to apply that rule onto you. I will not shoot you unless you drop your weapon, walk away from it and look at an opposite direction than onto me and your weapon. It is my only possible way to interact with you if you really intend no harm to me. If I see you doing a switch weapon motion and/or start running, you're might end up with a few primitive consumables called arrows in your body. You can giggle if you want, but it's actually a good weapon to knock people unconscious in but one hit and I got used to shooting the crossbow since I begun to play, it's been almost the only weapon I have been using since I started playing this game ^^ I think that sums up my behavior in game. Remember, a dead body gives you loot for sure. A dead body also does not drag you to cover and patch you up while you are unconscious and defenseless. Just saying... In a nutshell, I'm starting to do what a friendly would do with some common sense of keeping cautiousness a priority, without systematically using the left mouse button. I am fluent in both french, english and live in EU. If some peeps want to tag along with a player like this, send me a pm. I wouldn't mind joining a private server, hive-connected or not as well. Heck, maybe even join some clan that have similar wishes to play the game like I do ^^

When you hit P their name won't show up in the list but everyone elses will. They also don't show up with ESP or MAP hacks. There is no such AI naturally in the game. The only possible AI that it could have been is if a hacker spawned in a bodyguard but I'm fairly sure they disappear when they disconnect. I'm also unaware of the ability to spawn a ghillie bodyguard that enters vehicles. Though a regular unarmed one in a ghillie might be possible that would chase you upon seeing you if it was just standing in the woods for some reason. But not enter your vehicle. If there was a 3rd player besides you and your friend in the list like you mentioned then it was probably your buddy screwing with you and he's hacking. I find in general peoples accounts of events in DayZ to be extremely vague and usually flat out wrong. Many times I've witnessed something go down and 1 bandit with a axe turns into 5 with machineguns and rocket launchers, or a silenced gun was a m107 or a helicopter was the wind. Not to knock your credibility but you're probably clueless to what you actually saw and that's why no one can explain it. -

Ohhhhhhhh fffuu- I had a camp with 2 vehicles literally, not 500 meters from that first encounter. I assumed my we had been raided, but nothing was missing from the tents. This only adds more to my paranoia. (*Sidenote: I admin the server, and ban any hackers. Rcon may not be great, but it shows me scripts.) -

Yes, it is possible. Me and my friends successfully saved and recovered a bus twice about 5000m from the treeline (in 1.7.2.5. btw). However, there seems to be a limit to that. Once we've tried to save a boat at the tiny island about 13km to the south east. We both respawned at the shore on the next log in, since these coordinates seem to be out of bound for saving. AFAIK they spawn in their original spawn locations (those marked in the online maps) after the server restarts if they are destroyed (or not saved). Otherwise there wouldn't be any vehicles left at their original spawns after a couple of hours, right? -

lol .... i found a bike near some flats but there was no-one insight. i.e. i spawn the zombies so i just rode off with it asap. Who leaves uncamped vehicles :/ Ok, can someone explain how the vehicles spawn exactly? I've found multiple vehicles in the past at their spawn points, especially bicycles at the lighthouse inbetween electro & cherno. The way i thought vehicles spawn is that the Dayz team triggers the event that vehicles spawn at their locations regardless if the original vehicles are still alive? However this event doesn't happen very often either. Whilst on some bugged servers, we found the vehicles just respawn back to their spawn place in their initial condition (broken) after a server restart. i.e. the bus in cherno, repaired it then it dissapeared after a restart (not taken, we were online) then a fews days later i spotted it back in cherno & some poor guy was running around looking for repairs :) [ANSWER] It's not random, they are either there or someone has taken them, if they are destroyed they respawn on the next restart afaik Source: smasht_AU -

Right guys, heres an update... The server is being moved to a new provider that can provide, A) Time Zone changing, B) Sanctuary servers. This new server is now up and running and is a Sanctuary server running GMT-6. There are a lot of benefits to a Sanctuary server; more admin control over hackers and hacker detection, backups of the server incase a hacker kills everyone on the server we can revert back to a previous save of the server (giving everyone their kit back and their locations), server hopping to gain advantageous positions is impossible, and increasing the number of vehicles. Everyone has a fresh start on this Sanctuary server, we all spawn on the beach with no kit and hunt for things again, a completely level playing field :) It will give a fresh bit of life to this game now we have to hunt again and set up new camps :) The GB #500 server goes offline in two days, so if you want to join us on the Sanctuary you're more than welcome, and I would suggest doing this now. If not, you have two days before GB #500 goes offline. In arma the dead bodies stay inside the vehicles, they will eject if another player takes their seat iirc

The only advantage might be the lack of scrippters and fresh vehicle spawns. Which might actually make me wonder if it wouldnt be a good deal... 5 doosh is almost enough to make me consider it. I want a fresh start on a map not emptied of vehicles and filled with cheaters. OP, provide more info, will you? -
I want some new vehicles to be implemented. They will make DayZ more broad and funny, and will give players some new opportunities. Bulldozer Original topic here Imagine, at a factory like in Orlovets, there must be some heavy machines that are required for the building process. Some could be evacuated before, but a bulldozer was left there, because there were objects, more valuable than a heavy, useless mechanism. In the zombie apocalypse situation it appears in a new light. A powerful vehicle, that can clean out a road, go through the forest, smash down a zombie horde, etc. It gets... not vital, but important status. Of course, it should be harder to fix than a usual vehicle, you'll have to find tracks, hydraulics for the dipper, lots of fuel etc. But it should not be too hard, maybe slightly easier than a chopper. Stats: Capability: 2 seats Inventory: 30/6/3 Speed: Asphalt - 55 km/h, dirt road - 35 km/h, offroad - 20 km/h Features: knocks down trees (but takes some damage), can break stuff with the dipper (has its own hp, fixed with hydraulics parts and scrap metal, also uses the dipper to remove shit like broken cars from the road. Has a lattice at the windows (optional). Has a tough body, can break houses (but takes high damage). Firetruck We have firestations in two cities and in the NWAF. Not too much, but... I don't think that firetrucks were evacuated, along with the bulldozer. It's a heavy machine, useless out of normal life. But survivors are witty guys and can make use to any resourse left after the Apocalypse. A large car with tough, nearly armored body where passengers can sit like in a bunker, and a water cannon to flush the zombies out of the way. You'll need some special parts to repair the water cannon, lots of gas and maybe not one, but several scrap metal. So this serves as a really safe transporter of goods and people. Stats: Capability: 10 seats Speed: Asphalt - 40 km/h, dirt road - 25 km/h, off-road - 15 km/h Inventory: 200/40/20 Features: tough body, very good against bullets, worse against crashes, water cannon that can throw away and kick down zombies and players, but little speed. Big front windows as a vulnerable spot. Jetski (thanks to svefngenglar) Some recon teams definitely tried to get into Chernarus. We know that, because all we use m4, m16, m24, m9, m107 american weapons. These are crashed helis - missions of other countries too. So, why couldn't some small missions come on jetskis from big ships? They thought this is quiet and fast, and they were right. The mission managed to get onto the ground of the infected. So now the scouts are either dead or undead, and their transport is waiting for someone else... This is a kind of bike, only a water one. An ideal personal or couple transport. Quick, small, economical. Stats: Capacity: 2 seats Speed: 60 km/h Inventory: 40/6/2 Features : no special features.
