When ever me and my friends try and repair something like are helicopter, it will not lets us. I tried looking it up on YouTube and there were no videos about it so I came here, when we try refueling the vehicle it works fine but repairing doesn't so I was just wondering if anyone else has the same problem.

Hi guys, i need some help with customizing my server, i want to add custom buildings and vehicles. I have added some buildings by customizing the PBO on the server side but will this also work with vehicles? I mean will the vehicles respawn and will the custom buildings spawn loot like the original? Or do i need to use a other method to add vehicles and buildings that will work like the original like respawning vehicles after destruction and custom buildings spawning loot as the normal loot tables.

Tonight (07/08/2012 Time: 23:30) we are aiming to give away the following vehicles to groups on UK 172: - Bus - HiLux - Red Lada Basically we would like to share them out with groups who will make our server their home. We would like these to go to organised friendly or neutral groups of 4 or more players. We will give all 3 away to a large organised group or alternatively split and give to 3 groups of 3/4 etc. Register your interest below and we will select at random. Hello Friends... one more time I have a doubt about how vehicles are managed by the server. I got one vehicle. How many days without no one accessing it the car will be lost? (respawned in other areas?) If i only use it as storage, putting gear on it, it will still respawn? How does this new Spawn system works? (1.7.4.4) If I only enter in the car will prevent respawn? The Watch and Black Diamonds Cherno Server, 80 Vehicles 50 Slots, Vet difficulty, active admins IP:159.253.143.16:3051 We are a group of players who have started a private hive server and would like to invite any player looking for a fun server to start on. All player have a slight better starter kit (12 slot pack, Tent, Pistol). We are also using Gotcha antihacks to monitor the sever and have an international community so there are always players online. We aim to provide a stable environment for player to play on as we have all experienced issues on other servers. We are hosted my DayZ.st who offer hive backups so we can resolve any major issues. As a backstory, I saw this server advertised on Reddit with screenshots of rows upon rows of choppers at the various airfields. Looked pretty kick-ass, looked it up on DayZCommander, and it is nearly at full capacity with 68 out of 70 slots full. Tons of vehicles and tons of players, sounds like a fun time, and it certainly was. A whole bunch of interesting stuff happened during the hour that I managed to play. I'll tell the story of my last life, since I'm pretty sure that something in it triggered this ban. Anyway, I spawn at Solnichniy, immediately get picked up by someone inside a red car who drives me South. West of Elektro, we encounter a bus, and I switch from being a passenger in the car to being a passenger in the bus. Driving towards Cherno, the bus collides with a different red car (VW), causing it to explode and kill the 2 passengers. The bus stops, I get out, and because of what I can assume to be desync (1400 vehicles + 70 people), I break my legs and lose half my blood since the bus had started moving again. I crawl towards the two dead bodies, and check them to see if they have morphine. The first guy has none, and the second guy is unlootable, which I assume to mean he is still alive, even though he has been unconscious for about a minute. I shoot him in the head with my makarov (part of this server's spawning gear), and he still is not lootable, I empty the magazine into his head, and he remains in the unconscious position. I decide that he probably didn't have morphine anyway, and kill myself by clicking respawn. I spawn in debug with the broken leg icon and the same blood, but without any of my gear. I assume that it will take me to the you are dead screen shortly like it often does with a laggy server (1400 vehicles, 70 people), so I run around for a bit while waiting to die. I run 100m, then get kicked for Script Restriction #8. When I try to log on again, I get the message "Admin Ban (DayZ Anti-Hax 25.11.12 18:26 (Hacking Damage)))", and I am unable to play. If it was any other private hive, I wouldn't be overly sad, there a plenty to play on, but there are two big reasons why I'm taking the time to appeal this. First, I'm accused of hacking, which I do not do, and it pisses me off to be considered a cheater when I did nothing wrong (I understand that this ban was obviously automated, that is why I described thoroughly what lead up to it). Finally, a server with this many vehicles and this many people is a rare thing, I was really looking forward to playing on it, and now it seems that I can't. I posted in both the reddit thread that introduced me to the server, as well as PMed the OP, but I have received no response yet. One of the OP's comments leads me to believe that he is not the admin of the server either. If anyone who reads this knows the admin or plays on the server and might possibly see the admin online, it would be greatly appreciated if you could direct them to this thread so they could unban me. tl;dr- I got unfairly banned from a server for "Admin Ban (DayZ Anti-Hax 25.11.12 18:26 (Hacking Damage)))", most likely due to lag caused by an unusually high player/vehicle count.

The idea of motion sickness in vehicles allows Rocket to add to the concept of 'your body is the antagonist', allowing the player to be aware of how they, or even their friends, are driving. An example would be if you have a beginner pilot in your new helicopter and finally gets the opportunity to fly. Eventually, he swerves around so much to the point where you will get sick to your stomach, causing your character to begin to vomit. This will lead to depleting levels of water, and food in your stomach because of it. I actually had thought of this idea from when I was playing Take on Helicopters and was playing like a maniac. So what do you guys think of this idea? I personally think it would be a great addition to the game and adds on that immersive suspense, making you and your friends be cautious on how they're acting at high speeds. If you have any improvements, say so! :) /

I was trying to add the little bird that has 6 seets (MH_6J) to my private hive server, but after searching for why it wouldn't spawn and seeing that there was a ban list for vehicles, I thaught that the list should be customisable via a config file on the server instead of it being a part of the codes

I found some notes on a wiki for DayZ that said one pickup truck per server. Does that mean if someone finds it, takes it......and then leaves it someplace and is good at using it regularly so it never despawns...the pickup truck will never appear at the spawn points ? (until that person finally loses it ?) Thanks MrSpoon

Hey i'm Noob at dayz recently a friend and i fixed a bus form the NW airfield and took it and stashed it along with all our stuff, got off the bus and logged off. Came back on and was on the coast with nothing liked i had died. Checked it was the same server and it was, im thinking its a private hive as i had joined others and my gear had not gone with me so just stuck to the same one. before we got our bus we were playing and got transported to the NW airfield, (im guessing by a hacker, i dunno) along with other players where i just logged out before everyone started shooting. came back a while later and everything was normal except there were boats on the run way,a bus and an ATV also the sky was on fire. left everything and logged out came back the next day all still there so we fixed the bus and drove it around for a couple of days all seeming fine. Came back and like i said i was on the coast. We had stashed our bus near where other things spawned and zombies so was pretty sure it was not outside the map or something. not trying to get my stuff back here cos i know i cant but i wanted to know if anyone one had any idea why this happened was the bus hacked in and thats why that disappeared but we wernt in the bus so why did we restart? any help would be great just so i dont do the same mistake again if i did one. So who out there likes the military aspect of things who wants to play and become part of something bigger With custom base's, Factions of Good&Evil Put your tactical skill's to the test Come and make a home and defend your turf Join a faction and get outfitted and get on a Dayz payroll This is the way things are going to work on this server Faction's Faction are broken down into 2 groups Good/Hero's or the Evil/Bandit, the Good/Hero's are tasked with helping new spawns, going out to help people at there homes, which for people that frequent we will build you a mansion with no zombies spawns, a personal sanctuary were you can set up camp. Hero's are friendly and here to kill bandits, and help. The Evil/Bandits will be told to create chaos and are always a threat to new player's and if they find youre homes be prepared to be over run,murdered, and raided. Players get to choose what they do, they can work and operate as lone wolf's or create seperate cells of hero's or bandits, yet if you choose a main faction you get on a Dayz payroll with food,guns, and when you choose a faction you get outfitted by the faction president's with backpacks,guns,gear,optics and even vehicles to take to your house and to do mission's. We supply, you carry out mission's.
