  1. found the RPT but damn is it so confusing, really wish I had some idea of how the coordinates were calculated as some twerp scripted all the vehicles off to somewhere on the map tonight and now we have none :(
  2. I actually took a different approach this time. My buddy and I took the vehicles and broke down all of the barriers on the bridge. I saved one truck in the middle of the bridge, and another at coords 015 057. Also wrecked their tents (plural this time because checking a second time i found more than one).
  3. This game is too much fun! I've been playing DayZ Lingor for about a month now and i cant stop. It has to be one of the best, challenging simulators (and maps) currently out. My account name is Guardian, and i change it up often to avoid people following me. Starting today ill be posting what happened the night before. Last night started off pretty shitty, but ended amazing. I was farming the prison in an empty server when a buddy came on and joined me for about 20 minutes. The server ended up resetting right about when we were going to leave and made everything we had in piles disappear, so we started over. Once we both got gear we that we both felt was good enough (Coyote Backpacks, DMR, M249, M4A1 Holo, M9 SD) we headed out for San Arulco for tools. On our way, we had been chatting with the other person who was on the server trying to make sure he was friendly, mainly because we were both heroes and weren't trying to kill if we didn't have to. Not 5 minutes later we run into him just north of Vidora and had a stand-off on the road. Suprisingly he held his fire and we went our seperate ways. Once we were getting close to San Arulco i came up on a fully repaired Dirtbike, making our tool looting a lot easier. Now that we had a vehicle i felt this sudden urge to go checkout Cemarin and the surrounding areas on the Northeast Island, Never Been There!! I couldn't believe the luck of what we found up there. Just getting there was a pain in the ass due to all of the road blocks people had built using Tank Barricades, Sandbags, and Wire Fencing. Honestly all that did to me was prove something good was to come. As soon as we started driving the coast we came up on a Ural, a Truck, and an SUV parked in a warehouse. All of the vehicles were geared out, which helped fill the empty tool spots on our gear. Let me remind you, this server had one other person on it beside my friend and I so we weren't worried of being found. after looting the vehicles completely for what we needed, I got this great idea to park all of their vehicles together and toss a couple grenades under them!! it was great to watch them explode knowing someone else was going to be upset to find their camp destroyed. As we were leaving my friend spots a tent they had hidden off to the side, which was completely geared too upon inspection. We ran it over though seems how we had better gear. That was the highlight of my night, and i drove the bike all the way back to our camp. if anyone takes the time to read this i hope you share your comments regardless of what they are. (i know it was messed up, but thats all part of the 'game' right?)

    Consolidated Weapons/Equipment suggestions

    True. It really makes sense when weapon differ in something else than appearance. Each weapon should have some advantage/disadvantage and 1 tool attached. Right now it's ballanced I would say. About hatchet/crowbar, maybe it could be tricky for player to choose wchich one to use (can use only one a time). Each is a weapon but has different special ability. Hatchet can drop down trees, crowbar opens crates with loot in buildings. So you can do one of this action and you have to pick one. About equipment and stuff. Imho this would be an opportunity to make some place for ppl that i call "hamsters". Hamsters love to collect tires, jerry cans etc. In fact this is pvp game but there are ppl like that and they want to play this style. So maybe make some parts, like vehicle parts to be consisting of few other parts. All those parts takes places in your bag. So each player have to choose wchich role he is going to play. Be loot collector, a guy that is trying to get all parts together, get engine, fueltank etc. or be a pvp guy. But pvp guy won't have a place in backpack to pack pvp stuff and parts for equipment. So maybe here might be a place for trading and some interaction other than kills? What is my general idea about equipment is to make some kind of classess. It would work like crowbat/hatchet. About items it would be, I don't know, maybe you can have toolbox or medic bag or ammo belt(?). Medic bag gives you option to use medicaments on others, toolbox make an option to put all parts together to make for expample engine, ammo belt stores extra magazines so you could have few more slots in inventory. So, this way nobody would be all-dimensional Rambo, a guy who does everything. Sometimes you need medic or mechanic that makes an engine for brand new car. So make a friend or try to trade the part you need with proper guy. Imho, vehicle parts spawn should be reduced. Vehicles shouldn't be so easy to repair/get etc. Duct tape - connector for most of blueprints :)

  6. map- chernaurus players- 40-50 slots bandits welcome vehicles- around 100 is nice loot- not required but it would be awesome if AS50/m107/l85 were out US server or EU server but always Day third person on! active admins day time only custom vehicles reg server restarts to keep it fresh :) annnd hopefully a nice amount of players usually on I have a group of friends which ranges from 4-6 people usually so we are in need of a home server :DDD
  7. Fallujah and Takistan have military vehicles and extra Helicopters (even a C130 on Takistan). On Fallujah and Takistan you can find Chinook (double prop with three machine guns), Huey, Little Bird, and a shitty Med evac heli with no weapons. You can also find a Humvee with a mounted .50 cal on both Fallujah and Takistan and an offroad pickup truck with a Dshk in Fallujah (not sure if it is in Takistan). Have not played the new map (panthera) yet so no idea and Utes is a terrible little island with nothing of any value so just avoid that one as well. Lingor has a SUV but not sure if different vehicles are available but for every map there will be private servers that have different vehicle choices.
  8. You've got Lingor, Takistan, Fallujah and Utes. I believe as they are private hives vehicle spawns depend on the server. I've seen Fallujah servers with 70+ vehicles

    Bullets dont penetrate players, but they do penetrate cover (somewhat) 50.Cal will go thru fences and some walls and vehicles atleast. Bigger rounds (DMR caliber) also penetrate some walls and vehicle surfaces. But none, penetrate players

I have played with a few 4-5 man squads but never a clan or a large group of survivors. I also have experience with flying helicopters and driving ground vehicles in Arma II so I could be a backup Pilot/Driver if none are available at the time
  11. we had already a lot of teleport hackers around~ I know that because our squad members are running around seperated on whole server in search for vehicles and the hackers teleport from left corner of the map to the right corner and then to electro and nw field in about 5 seconds~ Todays hacker name was IchbindeinToT ~ killed our 4 squad members and more than half server before the admin banned him. And the point you are asking about disabled server control~ there are ways to execute clientside functions which don't need anything from server in the matter of server control~ they don't even need remote execution and stuff like this~ nothing will show up in your server logs, they can teleport around, spawn items/vehicles and even buildings (permanent buildings which stay after server restart) Only thing can be done is by the ArmA2 developers by changing the client/server .. I mean, fixing those holes.

  13. I had so many friends buy Arma to play DayZ but dropped it like a bad habit. I too was extremely disappointed with DayZ at first, I had watch video after video before pulling the trigger, I really thought I knew what I was getting into. Then I started playing and couldn't believe how many assumptions I really made about this game. I could not believe that only a handful of buildings could be entered. I had no idea that the biggest cities were at the bottom of the map and were rarely traveled by anyone looking to experience survival or live past their first 45 min. Where were these camp fires full of players? What do you mean I cant use a flashlight or chem light because Ill just get griefed every time? But the unforgiving death system, survival theme, and realistic game play kept me pushing and pushing to figure it out, I knew there was something about this game I was going to love if I could just find it. Eventually I meet a good group players and joined their clan, they showed me the ropes and helped me learn my way around DayZ and Chernarus. That spark of hope ignited once again, but after a couple weeks the constant hacking, duping, ghosting, and saving bugs extinguished that flame almost as fast as it was lit. So I quit, in fact, so did most of the clan. We kept throwing around discussions like "is it worth it to keep the server until standalone?". Some members even began looking at the WarZ as a better product (I know right?). Then one day I get a message from a clan buddy "hey man, we are playing Lingor island. You should come check it out, its pretty fun". At first Im thinking meh what ever, just another DayZ map full of disappointment. It took me close to 3 weeks after Lingor released to install it, it took another 3 days before I even played it. I regret wasting those 3 weeks and 3 days.... I was and still am completely blown away at how much the Lingor map is what DayZ Chernarus SHOULD be. Multiple cities and not just on one side of the map. 99% of all buildings can be entered. Tons more vehicles and a larger variety of vehicles, frigging boats and bi-planes man! Interesting and diverse terrain from desert to jungle to marsh. Private hive to combat the simple exploits like ghosting and alt+F4, which are far more frustrating than a script kiddie playing thunder dome. I found that bugs had been fixed that were ever present in Chernarus like vehicle storage, military flashlights, swimming in water, and probably a few more I cant think of off the top of my head. Zombies are actually a real threat, there are so many buildings you forget which ones have a back exit and which ones are a death trap! You also get a little cocky and because you fool yourself into thinking you can always run and hide, but sometimes you get swarmed in a bad place. This has made fighting Zombies fun, not just an annoyance. Then there are the players, you have no idea who is where. Far to many places to hide, you'll never know if you might run into someone. The airfields are not the only places to get military loot, its all over the map! Gone are the days of spending all my time in one of two airfields. Once I began playing Lingor Island I was hooked and when I say hooked I'm talking World of Warcraft hooked. I finally found it, the DayZ that I wanted to play from the start. I even have a few of those friends, with a little effort, who are now playing because they too were expecting Lingor Island when they began playing DayZ. 3 weeks later I purchased a hosted VM and launched my own Lingor Server and i just cant get enough! I can only hope that the Chernarus' update for Standalone can be as good as Lingor Island because if it wasn't for Lingor Id probably would have bought and be playing Panda's! So I'd like to extend my gratitude to the private hive community. Lingor Island is full of WIN and I look forward to continuing to host and promote Lingor Island as the way to play DayZ, especially for those who think DayZ sucks because they too were disappointed with the current official map. Hi, I'm a Swedish player and I have more or less stopped playing on the public hive due to the rampant cheating and exploiting going on, and most of my friends have started to play less and less. It's getting pretty boring to play alone much of the time, so I'm looking for bandit players who: Kill for fun and don't mind shooting even freshly spawned players. Don't combat log or dupe. Have Skype. 16+ years old. Are polite. The server I play on is European (French) with 45 maxplayers, veteran difficulty settings, 40 vehicles and any vehicles stashed out of bounds are automatically deleted upon restarts. Due to your conduct as a player, your influence on other people, and lack of adhering to the most basic of server rules set forth by the Administrator, you and anyone in affiliation to you were deemed unfit to remain in the server. As a result of your actions, you were banned. You then proceeded to carry out a verbal assault over multiple web pages in an attempt to put this server, and it's players down. We, as service members of the United States Armed Forces have an obligation to conduct ourselves in a professional manner. Though we may not be recognized by our deeds, they will be accomplished in silence. We seek not recognition for our actions, only the satisfaction to know of what we have done. Your actions here are unbecoming of yourself as a person, and as a Non-Commisioned Officer of the United States Army. I take pity upon anyone you surround yourself with, as well as your chain of command, and anyone serving under you. By your actions, you have not only embarassed yourself, but anyone associated with you. I would ask that you refrain from telling anyone that you served in the Military at all, much less as an 11B. Against the request of others, I will provided you with AAR, which lead to my untimely demise, and your downfall. I was on my way out, when friends told me they needed me to come get them. They needed an engine for the S1203. On my way back up the hill, I happened to noticed a black SUV making it's way across the ridge line. Using process of elimination I determined two things. One, There is only one person who drives around in an SUV, and would be stalking our position. Two, Attacks on a base always happen at Before Morning Nautical Twilight. You of all people should know this as Infantry. Using process of elimination, combined with other intel gathered over time, I.E. your strike patterns, the fact that you were logged in, and the fact that there is a BOLO (Be on the Look Out) for your vehicle. Brone was also online, so I knew that he must be with you. I immediately gave my squad the FRAGO, and told my guys to return immediately. They were two clicks out so I waited on the side of the hill alone. Being unaware of the size of the force I was against, and how well armed they were, I quickly formed a Actions upon Contact. Almost immediately upon my squad arriving at my position, my vehicles started taking fire from our 12 O'clock, @ what sounded like 250 meters. I peeked through a loop hole, and saw a single enemy low crawling on the side of the Hill. I proceeded to shoot exactly two rounds before somehow my position was compromised, and I was killed. Two other guys immediately died after I did, despite the fact that one was behind heavy concealment, and could not easily be seen, and the other was (to his recollection) behind cover. These are results as they unfolded from my side. I would like you to reciprocate, and provide further information on your assault, as well as how you managed to retrieve the weapons systems you had on that hill, shortly after being thwarted from your previous assault with a helo. A timely response is greately appreciated. I would also like you to conduct yourself in a more professional manner while doing so. If you have nothing respond with, I would ask that you please stop posting threads at this time. The same goes to Brone.

I do not hack. I was not using hate speak nor causing any disruption. The one that happened last night came with the same childish taunting manner that the most recent one came with. Last night I was running through Elektro, looking for food camo clothing etc. Ran towards a gas station on my way towards cherno and out of the corner of my eye I spotted someones foot sticking through a wall. So I crept over there, peaked in, guy was alive, ducked back down "friendly". Turned out he had a broken leg, went and fetched some morphine, with some additional for myself, along with bloodbags and bandages. Went back, tried to give the guy some morphine, was unable to do so, debug was having a fit, the kind of fit that happens when someone around is using a 15 dollar hack commonly known as "This Game Sucks". Anyways, when I came back I was standing inside a corpse, didn't realise it right away, issued the morphine, looked behind me, almost crapped myself seeing what looked to be a live person standing before me with a 1911 pointed at me. It was a corpse, my corpse, dunno what caused that glitch but whatever. As the guy I helped out and I talked Nick #ufd, I think the only admin on at the time for that server, said over global "Hackers are not welcome! " blah blah blah, no idea who he was addressing. Figured it was someone closer to him, or perhaps the guy I was helping out. "Nor is associating with hackers allowed." well ok w/e "You know who you are." wow seems threatening towards whoever that was directed to . Suddenly (Battle Eye (banned h4x0rzzzzz)) pops up on my screen and I am no longer holding a conversation with a relatively friendly and new player but wondering just what had happened. So I left the report of that incident in the wrong place. Turns out the locals there had their 'base' raided and destroyed and I guess I was on at around that time earlier in the day. I was just on with a few people earlier that morning, given that I used to be part of a clan that frequents that server. Well I suppose we're all taking the blame for that base being crashed, though all I recall is just moving to elektro, getting an alice pack, then heading off towards stary sabor after losing a truck to a pair of popped wheels and not being able to find it after I had found replacement tires. Did not find any of the vehicles that spawn at stary, so aborted with plans on maybe making a base later on in the same server. Check the logs though, I looted the store in elektro, hospital if I remember right, drove that truck a bit and left. The most recent one, well I ran around a bit, my debug was off. I went around Some towns in the North West by the airfield given my last log was around there anyways from another server. Figured get a can of beans and maybe find a map or compass at least. Nothing ever spawned, my debug monitor never showed and there was a lack of any zombies spawning near me.Over their global chat directed towards me given I had spoken with a former clan mate from ZyG|(back biters all ) about the incident on that server the night before and they were addressing me directly through global chat and said "BE logs show". Show what? So I ask you, please, go review the logs on US 2297 for anything Fluffernuggets (me) may have been doing wrong. Then decide for yourself what to do with the poorly misguided hosts of their server. Remind them of rule 11 .

    Zombie "profing" cars

    I think that cars should have customization where you can use scrap metal not only to fix the hull, but reinforce the hull like armor, and also (If a big amount of tools is added and depending on the vehicle) the option to mount light machine guns on vehicles like Urals and so on. I also think that you should be able to make push bars for the front bumpers of all cars and have it be able to push things like washing machines and other small things out of a road and have the car not take damage and for my finial idea, CB radios. They can be found and put in any vehicles and used to for communication between players. I know that there are services like team speak, but this is just for the average gamer. And if it is used in the game, it gives other players ways to tract people talking with them. It will also have players starting to use codes like, Good Off These On Thorn Hair Animal Tiger Hole Only Used Secret Enigma. translation- Go to that house. it would provide a challenge to players. comment what you think.
  18. As it stands I make sure that there are always 10 bicycles up on the map when I run the vehicle spawner (currently manually run at my discretion. Will be automated later). How many were you thinking of wanting? Bicycles are one of the vehicles that I have the least problems adding lots of because of how they're purely a 1-man transportation. I think one of the problems with bicycles is that people use them to get from the coast to the inner parts of cherno and just leave them to rust the second the find a car/truck. The bicycle ends up sitting in some random area for a long time with no rider (because most people that far in have a car/truck already). How about making it so that no individual bicycle is allowed to exist for more than 7 days? After 7 days, it is destroyed and respawned fresh at a random spawn point. Or, if it goes for 24 hours without being touched? I guess I don't know how many people actually want/care about using a bicycle as part of their day-to-day once they've found a car/truck.

    Server Restart Help

    What am i doing wrong?   22. Keep in mind that all of these are just ideas. I see a lack of crappy middle-ground weapons in the game, and most of my ideas are along those lines. It seems like there shouldn't be such a leap to go from a winchester to an AK-74 with Kobra sights. So middle ground weapons would be nice, especially since the military ones will be few and far between in the standalone. Before I list any weapons, I would like to say that there should definately be some really crappy WWII weapons laying around in chernarus. Stuff like Thompson(.45ACP), Sten gun, PPSH, M1 Carbine, Mosin Nagant, Mauser....etc. These weapons stay around for awhile, and would be cool to use. You could make them really crappy from the age of them and be not durable, but occasionally have one spawn in pristine condition.....just an idea. Bows Crossbow - Increase the range slightly, maybe attachable scope. Definately needs better iron sights. Longbow - Make range better than crossbow but not as long as the compound bow. Compound bow - Best bow, effective up to like 200-300meters, but requires "lobbing" arrows at that range. Quivers - Just make a quiver using the clip mechanism in-game. One quiver contains say 5-10 arrows and equals one "clip" for the bows. Make bolts seperate than arrows. Quiver of bolts/Quiver of arrows. Arrows craftable by combining scrapmetal and pile of wood, if you have a toolbox. Melee Fashioned stick- a big spear made from wood. Right-click wood pile and have "Fashion into spear" as an option. Also have the option to fashion it into pungi sticks if possible. Less effective than bear traps but have a 30% chance to break legs. Must have some sort of knife to fashion. Pitchfork- Do it. Entrenching Tool (Unfolded) - Same mechanic as moving axe from inventory to weapon slot. Hunting Knife - Same as above Military Knife - Can be used for melee or thrown. More damage than hunting knife. Bowie Knife - Big knife with longer reach Long Katana - I know this is silly, but you can't tell me that not one guy in all of chernarus isn't some loser sword collector who never gets laid. Make it super rare. I know if I found one I would carry it in my backpack and use it for CQB instead of my pistol. Would also be great for slaying zombies....fast attack speed, good reach, quiet, and looks pro. Tomahawks- nuff said. Pistols .22 Pistol - Quieter than makarov. Low body damage, but still one headshot kill. Old revolver - Think wild west, worn out and damaged from years of use, but better than nothing. Probably won't last past 5 or 10 clips. Glock 18 - fully auto like the PDW, does more damage than PDW but harder to control spray. Fires fast in full auto. Browning .45 High Power handgun - Better than current 1911/revolver. Better range but louder. 44. Magnum - As loud as a double barrel shotty, but ultimate player killer for bandits. Slow fire rate, long range, high damage. Possible to find with attached scope or to attach a scope (Not sure if your doing spawned in attachments or what, would like to know this if you can Rocket) Desert Eagle (Chrome, Gold, or Black) - This is just me being selfish. I would love to have some better "endgame" pistols, and if I found a black desert eagle, I would cream my pantalones. Flare gun - Common noob loot. Used to make Dayz more appealing at night. On my server, it will go from 40 people to about 3 once it gets dark. Maybe alleviate this a little by making road flares shootable with this pistol, and make the flares kind of hang in the air for awhile...lighting up the area. Shooting zombies will light them on fire when within a certain range. Maybe same for players. Shotguns Over and under Shotgun - Like a Citori model. Better range than a Double-Barrel with slugs due to better sight picture and barrel alignment. I use one of these bird-hunting, definately a masterpiece. Sawed-Off Double Barrel- You know you want it. Crappy range, big spread when using pellets for killing multiple zombies. Able to make Double Barrel into Sawed-off using Toolbox. Tactical short-barreled, like a benelli or something. SPAS-12 - Military grade shotgun. Best one, better than m1014. Keeps shotguns viable even with well-geared players. Really fast fire-rate (for a shotty). Rifles .22 rifle - Iron sights, no scope, good range. Uses same ammo as .22 pistol. Your usual family varmint gun. Scoped .22 rifle - 6x scope, not made for long distance sniping, but still has some range on it. Make the rifles do more damage than .22 pistol, but still only 1 shot kills can be achieved in the cranium. .270 - Basically what the CZ550 is, but I would like to see different models of hunting rifles in the game. Make it Chrome with synthetic stock to change it up. Scoped and non-scoped variants available. .30-06 Lever-Action - Everytime I get a winchester I am pretending I have one of these. Iron-sights, good range, decent fire-rate, durable, sexy. No scopes can be attached. .30-06 Hunting Rifle - Scoped, bolt-action. Muzzleloader - Even today people use improved muzzleloader models for hunting. Ironsights or scoped. LONG LONG LONG reload time. EXTREMELY powerful but requires super long reload, maybe incorporate the gunpowder and bullets but seems like too much trouble for one rifle. I'm thinking make this the most powerful rifle next to the AS50, but you have to deal with its terrible reload time if you want to use it. Make bullets semi-Rare. M40A5 Camo- It's already in the game, it's already ghillied up. Use it. I REALLY REALLY REALLY want a sniper rifle in the game that has ghillie on it, and has a 12x scope. I was so excited to use the SVD when I finally got one b/c it matched my ghillie suit, made me less detectable, and had a built in rangefinder in the scope. Much to my dismay I found out that it doesn't have a full 12x zoom. I understand the PSO-1 scope isn't meant for super long range sniping, but if you have a sniper rifle made for people who are wearing "sniper clothes" give it a SNIPER SCOPE. Sorry for the rant, just really like the camo'ed rifles and would like to see a legit scope on one of them. Until then I will stick to my M24. I have 2 AS50's sitting in my tents with plenty of rounds, but I'd rather use something more realistic and practical. I like the sleek accurate M24 with zero'ing and 12x scope....just wish it had ghillie on it. SMG's Tech 9- Crappy POS that gangsta-wannabe's like to tote around. Think the "Makarov of SMG's". Cheap and very unreliable much like the idiots who carry them around. Uncommon, but probably better off with a shotgun or .22 rifle....:-D IMI UZI - The full sized UZI, not the Mini or MICRO versions that Hollywood has glamourized. The full sized honking chunks of steel that could almost equate to an automatic rifle. Military drop, pretty rare, full auto. Steyr TMP - Please no MP7's. My personal favorite SMG IRL except for the MP5A2 with folding stock. Can be silenced. 9mm so can take advantage of all the 9mm mags like the glock 17. Possible secondary weapon maybe? Assault Rifles I honestly like the selection of current military rifles in the game, I just think some balancing issues need to be addressed concerning damage to players with certain rifles, but I already know Rocket and his awesome team are working that out. I do have a few ideas thought IF they were to add more. AK-47 - ChernaRUSSIA! Any game that has guns in it that doesn't shoot lasers has an effing AK-47 in it. And this game is supposedly set in RUSSIA!!!! I really would like to see this weapon. Steyr AUG - Not the new version. The old Counter-strike version with the foregrip and crappy scope. IMI GALIL - Crappy low-end assault rifle. Probably make it as effective as the L85 is now....CRAP. LMG's RPK - fits the setting, and would be nice to get some middle-ground LMG's at sites other than helicopter crashes. Can use other AK-type mags. Pecheneg - My personal favorite probably b/c its my No. 1 weapon in BF3. Just need more russian stuff in the LMG department. L86 - Its in the game, and again one of my favorites IRL. This is a great middle-ground LMG. Smaller clips than most LMG's but more accurate at full auto than most as well. Tools First-aid kit - Holds 1 of each medical item in-game except bloodbags. Can refill used items. Saves space in inventory from medical crap. Toolbox - Definately increase the uses of this. Make a Double barrel shotgun into a sawed-off, sabotage vehicles, can open locked "chests", Remove glass from stores quietly, pull out lodged bullets in players, Needed to apply attachments to any weapon. Night-vision - Batteries....nuff said. Flashlights - Shoulder-mountable or tactical carry with the pistol so you can aim and shoot. Change the lighting when up close to things, right now it is terrible being close to something with your flashlight. The beam should'nt just disappear. Signal mirrors- Develop a signal diagram for players to use. 2 flashes = Query, 3 Flashes = Don't come near...etc. Animal Traps - Once set they stay in the same spot even through server reboots. Have a chance to spawn raw meat after one day cycle or 12 hours. Once meat is harvested the trap is removed, or you can clean it with water to reuse it. If you don't clean it you could get infection from your next meat. Notes - Someone already said this, but it would be nice to put a piece of paper on a tree that is pretty visible to someone. Have a set font that looks like handwriting and we could type in what we want on it when we set it up. Have them last until the next rain. After raining for 5 minutes the paper will disappear. Unless its inside a building. Make notes something that is permanent through server resets. Imagine going into Elektro and there is a whole wall of notes from people over the "years". You get frustrated and rip them all off, or you can write your own and add to it. Lamps - Sick of flashlights retarded tight beam and no ambient light from it. Use lamps, carry in one hand and pistol in other. Make lamp fuel a semi-common drop, if you can't find lamp fuel you can use chemlights but doesn't light the area as effectively, plus u can customize your lamp color that way. Flares in lamps is silly, don't even try. Can set lamps down in a room so you can loot. Energy Drinks (Monster, Red Bull, Rockstar) - Can SPRINT (Double tap "w") without slowing down for say 5 minutes. Used to get the hell outta dodge from players or zeds. Uses up your food meter faster though. Too many energy drinks within so long, and you pass out OR you can just make them fairly rare. Breathing Strips or Chewing gum - You only get 50% as out of breath as normal when running and recover from it twice as fast when stopped. Cigarettes - Multiple uses, light with box of matches. Can be broken down and chewed to remove shock. Light signals at night, think fireflies. Some cool effect when smoked, like improved accuracy by 20% for 10 minutes. Plus it would be funny to walk in to elektro firehouse and there is just some dude sitting there smoking. Fuel Siphon Kit - Basically a funnel and hose. Make it an item, not something in the toolbelt. Spawns in industrial areas. Can siphon fuel from someones vehicle into jerry cans. Could also make it a requirement to getting fuel from tanks into jerry cans. I think Takistan life already has these, maybe talk to the devs there to get the scoop on it. Scrap Metal - NEEDS MORE USES. Armor up vehicles, fashion weapons using fire, make arrows by combining with pile of wood. Camo Nets - Cover up vehicles, and make the netting look alot like something in the environment, not something that makes the vehicle stand out even more. Tents - Needs an inventory screen that shows amount of space left for what items. Maybe make them better camo'ed. Combine camping tent with bear trap to create decoy tent that causes broken leg when looked into. People with toolboxes can tell if it is trapped or not. Sandbags/Barbed Wire/Tanktraps - Need someway of changing the coding for these to validify the fortification of buildings. Like when the player dies that set them up, they disappear. Idiots fortify firehouses, get killed, and now nobody can loot the firehouses for days until soemoen with a toolbox undoes them....really aggravating. Also make it easier for you to cross your own fortifications. Player Skins. Telling the difference b/w heroes and bandits is hard right now. I've been killed by so many "heroes" recently it is rediculous, and I have survivor skin. Make humanity score way more permanent, and not exploitable. If I see a hero, I want to feel comfort and safety and not be afraid to run up to him and ask for help. Unless he decides he is done being a hero of course....then im screwed. I think the clothing changes for bandits/heroes should be in tiers. If your "kind of" a bandit, then you get some slight changes, but if you are on sniper hill in Elektro for the next 3 days, Your gonna be the most banditty looking bandit ever. I don't know what all of the clothing changes are going to be, but I know Rocket said there is a lot more options, and I really hope that it will allow us to still look badass, whether we are bandit, survivor, or hero. Also, there is a huge problem with telling if a person is bandit/hero if they are wearing any other type of clothing such as a ghillie suit. Maybe make two different types of ghillie. Slightly different model for each bandit/hero. Bandits look kinda of darker brownish with stringy like ghillie on them, and hero's get the one we have now or improve it. Make survivors different too. Should be able to tell the difference.
  23. The problem of kicking people in vehicles (and only when they hit Escape, anyway) has been fixed. These measures aren't rigorous (only a kick, not a ban). I admit I don't have perfect knowledge, obviously, but that's why we have logs we can review to improve things. It's your server of course, so you're welcome to configure it as you please, but I personally believe only logging would be a nightmare to deal with as an admin over logging and kicking.

  25. How about a GPS tracking device? Should be pretty rare but would add a whole new dimension to taking vehicles, you never know if the guy you stole it from is tracking you down.
