Did you read the entire post? The person was shooting an M107, but when I checked the logs, it showed that his/her inventory had a double barreled shotgun from the time he/she logged in, to the time when he/she logged out. It never showed him/her having an M107. He/she had no backpack or other items, just a single shotgun. Perhaps you should read instead of jumping to conclusions with a lack of information.

Obviously you haven't read my post, kid. Read it all before you start posting crap. Because what you said there basically supports the hackers. I host a server and I have options to check people's inventory. If I see the person carry a shotgun in his/her inventory from start to finish, I don't say he/she has a M107. They're two different guns.

I honestly say we shouldn't even upgrade to the next patch that saves tents. If people's camps get nuked, it's all gone. At least in this version currently, if people get nuked or have their tents destroyed by hackers, the items will be most likely restored after restart.

Heck, you had that Tomm guy in your server too?!? He was combat logging, and killing people in one shot with no gear in his inventory. The combat logging was the only reason I could ban him. I couldn't ban him for killing people with no gear in his inventory.

Been patient for too long I think. Every day is the same sh*t. I'm sure I'm not the only admin who is tired of getting told "if it isn't in the logs, don't ban". Even though the person may have an inventory that has no gear yet he/she killed someone. Apparently that is not enough proof when an admin checks an inventory that has nothing in it, but the person managed to kill someone. Heck, I just had a hard time banning someone who just tagged scripts on people. The person finally decides to nuke the server and then I had ban him for "nuking", not for tagging scripts on people before, because apparently tagging scripts on players is legal. EDIT: @ChernoPTA: That's probably why I've had my clan's camp nuked consistently this week. It's either we get nuked, or some guy just comes in and tanks bullets then rains down M203s on my clan.

It's not easy to get a private hive guys. My group also voted on making our server non-private so we don't feel "lonely". I don't want to upset my members, so unless they vote for private, I'm not going to change it yet. And I can't ban without approval like I said, Wirble. If I do, my server runs the risk of being wiped off the hive. But, this is absolutely ridiculous that admins have absolutely no power but check logs then report and other minor sh*t.

Yeah, I had quite a few of those lately and I was told I can't ban, like WTF.

So, lately, my server has been pretty full with around 35-40'ish people every day. I have to deal with a flood of cheaters daily now and the amount of power admins get is just sad. There are rules that I can't ban people without 100% proof. Example, finding a double barrel shotgun in a guy's inventory who was shooting a M107 is pretty much enough evidence to ban someone in my view. However, my host is telling me that I need more proof. It is already tough enough to deal with cheaters daily now. But having to deal with the set rules the host gives makes it 3X harder. Not only that, there are legit players who call their hacker buddies to hack for them. I've already noticed numerous people who log on at the same time in the same clan. A few would be legit players, and a few would hack for the rest of the clan. Days later, the same clan would be back, but with new accounts and they do the same sh*t over and over. However, as you know, you can't ban the legit players even if they're using friends to help them hack. Taken the fact that we all know this mod has practically the most hackers, the rules to ban people are so absurd that I can see why hackers are winning. I would like to see a new set of rules from each host that are 3X more strict to hackers. I'm anxious to ban some suspicious players who have weird inventories and those who take more bullets to kill than necessary. Don't say "It's Alpha, don't play if you don't like it." because the standalone isn't anywhere near to release yet. And anyone who starts becoming all defensive is considered one of the hackers/d***hebags we have in the mod currently.

Yeah, admins really do need A LOT more POWER. The host isn't really in game to see what happened. They just make a set of rules and tell the admins to find it or get out of their faces.

Yeah, it's just not acceptable. The host of servers are just letting hackers win. A few days ago, I also had a player who logged into my clans' base and I had a member find him. When he found the person in the base, he took shots at him but the person wasn't dying. Soon, the person in our base shot my member once and died. Soon, we finally took down the intruder, but he had no gear in his inventory. Even that was not enough proof to ban him.

So my server and my clan got nuked and then a sniper came near our base after to finish off killing some people. I had the person who launched a nuke banned, but the sniper couldn't be banned because supposedly, I "did not" have enough proof. The sniper shot an AS50 at me and my clan, however, his inventory showed a Double Barrel Shotgun which is not strong enough to kill someone from about 200+ meters away. From start to finish, his inventory had a Shotgun and not an AS50 the whole time. How is this not enough proof? My server has been getting attacked by numerous hackers daily now because it got posted in public. I'm sick of this and I just think that if the player has anything suspicious, they should be banned automatically. As of now, there are suspicious players on my server that I can't ban just because the host says "not enough proof".

When I say location, I also mean the server name. I had to move to other servers because of this. Lately, this month, I've been getting cheaters and I've confirmed it. People had radios, L85 CWS, and other items that aren't even in DayZ. Some also seem to take more than 15 M4A1 SD shots to kill, but when the person shoots me, I die in 1-2 shots. Then there are people who I loot after I kill them in a gun fight. When I loot their bodies, they have nothing on them after dying.
-
Yeah, guys. I mean, I don't call out hacks without confirming it. There have been people with radios, L85 CWS?, and more items that aren't even in the game. Not only that, there were also people who came in and shot some of my friends but died. And when I loot the body, he/she had no gear on them.

There are people who hacks/scripts and post locations of camps in this forum. I strongly believe the forum staff should start banning/taking down threads like those simply because this game is currently flooded with cheaters. Releasing locations is just letting hackers win in this game. The camps will be flooded with more and more cheaters and make legit players rage quit/relocate numerous times which should've been un-needed. I suggest waiting the standalone, but as of now, camps being released on this forum are getting flooded with cheaters/combat loggers. I have already been compromised about twenty times because cheaters go into my camp and then giving the locations out to more people which was dragging in more hackers.
