    I like the idea of a hard cap, i think a side effect might be forcing low level players to join together to either defeand aginst or hunt those with higher power weapons. The only thing I would worry about are spawns after the weapon was lost, as in the weapons breaks, you die in the a middle of the ocean (people might try to screw others by getting putting weapons there.) Sorry i fyou commented on this already, iwas schemming through, reading most, but I might have missed it. My only other question wuld be if you died by zombies, would the weapon stay there where your body is/was if no one is around, or would it respawn, or would i get put on thebody of one of the zombies who killed you?

    Good ideas, but I feel that my idea is more realistic, as people in yours, though well thought out, people couldn't knowin real life.

    Sorry you have good ideas, but i don't think they fit inot this game except maybe the "Killing bandits and heroes should have a more significant impact on your humanity compared with survivors" other than that the others remove the who is this person, i see where your going, and the closes thing I would like to see is people able to see friends names above their character and enemiy names if they have maybe grouped up before or at least show a Red glow around people that they have attacked or been attacked by while in their current life. other than that it removes the "is this person dangerious or a good guy." I like the idea of joinning groups where you don't know exactly whose good and whose bad. Thats why i think just having the group funtion i described in my post...http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/80532-humanity-and-groups/ I think its the most realistic one possible without giving payers informaiton in real life people wouldn't know.

    First just a lil FYI Rocket says there are different playstyles too. Anyway yea they would haveto start just like normal spawns do, however i would says for the idea of using humanity, groups would be randomly put together. If it was a clan start thign than that be different, but the abuse wouldn't be that bad, cause people would still have to get back over there and gear back up, I mean it really is no different than if they started alone at different locations on map.

    To everyone, 1) This is a mod, Rocket seems adn from what I heard from him, to be testing out ideas here, making changes as needed. 2) They are working on fix whats broken, and such. 3) They are trying out new things, and removing other things to see how things go. 4) He said he intends on adding a base making system, and much more to do, but those all take lots of time, scripting code, making modles, textureing modles, riggin modles, animating modles, testing modles, fixing modles, test script, fix script, and etc. Basically stop acting like it an easy thing to do, yes the compnay is backing him up but he doesnt have the whole company supporting him its a small group as of now.If your board, I have an idea create your own quests in the game, try to start a trading post, or whatever. How bout offer your services to noobs to guide them through the world. How about king of the light house, Capture the pepsi, I mena the game can be anythign other games are. I would highly suggest though remembering the game is about enjoying the new experience you get paying each time, if you don't see anything exciting get with others and make stuff exciting. I mean come on you guys you can do whatever you want in the game basically, its like you have never had to make games up or go on adventures to have fun before.

    I like the idea, but I tihnk maybe we should just focus on zombies doing what you described, I agree totally thoguh zombies need a big boost to their danger level. Right now easy to survive, unlike other players, i tihnk zombies need a tweak for sure, moving hordes and maybe more. however beofre they can make it this hard I'd think they need to make grouping up much easier.

No I understand, I just see all to often people just bash someone and not even try to give an alternative, but i agree with the grouping up thing, I've been trying to do that in game, but everyone is too scard to even try, it seems, people see me and they D/C or attack me on sight, which I get. My biggest beef right now is how hard it is to try and group up in game. i suggested a group making system maybe, something to help people trust again lol.

    What do you think about people with high humanity starting in groups if they choose to, and those with starting alone. Or to make things even a little more interesting, groups with three or less start with people all high humanity, four or more can have one person with low humanity?

    I think if it works as you put it, it would be very realistic, though I tihnk the humainty for everyone should always be changeable depending on thier actions as it is now, but basically the conecpt as you put it is spot on with my thoughts.
  16. That all might work if it was related mroe to people BEING ALONE FOR TOO LONG, not killing people. cause right now peoplekill people and nothing happens, but those in isolation do go mad from time to time.

    I would say a simple group kick kind of idea, or kill that person if you like I guess. Also same with allowing people to vote in a group member.
  18. The point the OP is making isn't its too hard, but there needs to be things in the real world to question that choice, though he might not be thinking bout it in the right way.
  19. Not to bash your comment, but the thread is called "A way to help curb the amount of pointless murders by people." Why not help by giving an alternate solution like others have, instead of just going off on the guy for trying to come up with a solution.
  20. If only gettign agroup going was easy in the game I would agree totally, my whole thing is make that easier and the random killing would decrease alot. Of courseadding more to do, or reasons to group up would fix this as well, both I tihnk should be implmented.

    i agree with the group share humanity, but how does my idea benefit one group here? I mean the group starting for people with more humanity makes sense, even clans in general cause bad guys have groups too, my idea with the humanity is that people can start with random ppl, all of whom share a positive humanity above a certain number. Why cause people who have lots of humanity would nautrally group together to survive, those with lower wouldn't or would have a smal group of people they trust, like bandits in the old west. The start with random items was just a side thought.

    Having more humanity doesn't make me learn how to fly an airplane. i agree it allows me to get taught by people, but your saying that the more humainty I have than I should learn how to fly an airplane. If anything in the game it should be humanity allows people to come together to share, idk manuels or for everyone to create a library or a airplane school, not a because i got a certain score by being nice, that makes no sense. I'm not bashing your idea just saying it doesn't make sense with the use of the humanity system.

    Ok this is not an easy thing to do, but what if after a player killed you, you could come back as, or control zombies in the area of the player until he died or lasted for say 5 minuets. What do you guys think. I think its a really great idea to make ppl say at the very least do I really want to do this, it also lets ppl get revenge on their killer in a not so dumb way.
