Hi I built my computer from scratch for bf3. I soon uninstalled bf3 whaen I found day z. I had never built a computer before and did not know where to start. I researched in forums to choose the parts then used you tube to show me how to put it together. It was so so much fun. I bought my parts over the space of two months so I could spread out the pain a little and get better parts, plus that allowed me to be more thorough in my research. My computer ROCKS now. Hafx case, I-5 cpu, 2 terabyte hd, 16 gigs ram, 120 gig ssd drive, amd 6790 viv card(that is the week link but still kills dayz!). And a host of cool peripherals. Do it yourself you will learn a lot, Have tons of fun. And get a machine that is really good in the end.

good post I am sure almost everyone on here agrees wholeheartedly. This is the MOST fun I have had with a pc game for a long while.

I had a dude help me out tonight i was down to 3000 blood no wepon no painkillers and shakey as hell. This due and his friend give me tons of food, painkillers, AND a mak. with a couple clips. I tell you i was so thankfull I WOULDA KILLLED ANYONE THEY ASKED ME TOO..Unfortunately I got eaten just a couple minutes later. But for a short time I was very happy i tell you!

No I had the saddest death I was walking on the outskirts of electro way far away on the farthest pier when suddenly WHAM I fell down dead. No shots fired, No explosions, no sound at all. Just dead plain old fall over dead. Musta had a stroke or something.

I totally agree what an awesome surprise this game is .It came out of left field and has changed my whole view on the recent games scene. I now have a little optimism for the games industry in general, because developers have to compete with this awesome experiment.

That would be a cool idea for a tournament. A last man standing kind of thing I would love it.

I lucked out and found one at electro hospitall. I put it on and made a sprint for the reeline to gat outa town. I was shot just before I passed factory. Ahhh good times!

I too have never seen a more communicative developer in relation to his target customers. I still can,t believe he says anything at all. And I am sure happy he does. Thanx rocket.

Ok so I love this game it is darn cool. I seem to have a problem that my screen is a little fuzzy. I use a I5 and a 6790 vid card. I heard somewhere that you can improve models and such if you get one of the other dlc. packs is this true? I play on med settings and it looks good but not great. Do I just need a new card? thanx for any info.

Ya just the fact that we ALL can play ANY style we want IS the beauty of this game. It really is a neat and in my opinion important step in game evolution. The companies will learn WE LIKE persistance. And WE LIKE permadeath it makes our decisions and mistakes matter. I am gambling it won't be long till we see several copycat games be developed. This game will make a killing once it is perfected\improved upon.

I built my own and it worked on the first try. And I am absolutely a noob when it comes to technology stuff. Hell I couldn,t even figure out how to install the mod. I needed 6updater to get it going. My comp has a wicked air cooler noctua d14 a good vid card it even has an ssd. All built by little old me.. There are really good tutorials on you tube and toms hardware is an indispensable resource for 600 you will get a great comp, Instead of a weak ass store built one. Do it yourself you will have a blast!

I too enjoy the side chat. I would like to see some kind of nerfed side chat. Perhaps it could only work in like a 500 meter range or something. Just so I could ask people if they are friendly at a safe distance...before I shoot them in the face.

My worst scare was walking stealthily through Kamenke. I go aound a wall and BAM a zeds rams me. No warning noise, nothing to prepare me just Bam in my face. My mouse flew off my desk and I was done. Next character please.

I love the idea of increasing the zeds # in cities. This with the ability for zeds to hear and investigat sounds should help to root out the camper clans.

Ya just IP ban the mothers from ALL servers for ALL eternity.Done deal.

i enjoy the immersion when the side chat is disabled. However that is because I NOW know how to play the game. When I first started out the side chat was instrumental in giving me the very basics of the game. I did not know how to bring up the control panel even. The tutorials were useless. So for al the new people I feel your pain. I would like to see a side chat with a limited distance lets say 1000m.

Thanx for all the hard work and for allowing us to try this neat game out. This community is good and i think just a couple asshats doing most of the whining.

Just go and have fun with this iteration. It will be more of a challenge and make you a better player.
