Update: Like I promised I would make a Militairy Guide video but that video will come out as soon as the Loot respawn will work. Because I want to show my videos in Half full to full servers, it is impossible to find a decent M4 + Attachments.

My first intention is to help people and also ge them through the mechanics of the game, but if I don't share it on this forum or reddit as an example, it won't get the views and attention as I want it to have, because I know this video is very helpful for beginners, else I wouldn't have made it :)

Hey guys, Whenever I Log in to a server, I can start walking and stuff like that, but I can't equip my weapons, I can't pick stuff up, I can't drag and drop (exmaple: battery on Flashlight), all that comes whenever I do that it will say "recieving". I tried killing myself and as soon as I respawned the same was wrong.

I tried both, had it with the correct version, then tried experimental version, both don't work

They are getting DDOS'ed by some kids atm, be patient as they are fixing it

Hey guys, this is something related to DayZ, but not in-game but with the DayZWiki forums I want to help out with the DayZ.gamepedia.com since I have discovered a lot of things that aren't yet on the wiki. So basically what I want: as an example: I tried to edit out the pictured from in-game screenshots: Like this: http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/dayz.gamepedia.com/d/da/ButtstockMP.png you can see the quality is pretty crappy, and after uploading the file I found this screenshot: http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/dayz.gamepedia.com/1/18/M4ButtstockMP.png There must be a way to get the same quality with Weapons/Attachments aswell. I googled about 2 hours long to get to this, since I can't contact the guy who uploaded the File. I have come so far with PBOManager, and opening the weapon_attachments_textures.pbo document, but I don't know what to do anymore... If someone could give me a small guide on printing out files in that quality with some tools that would awesome! Sorry for being dumb and have to ask here.

Did you try other servers, have u atleast started both games through steam once? have u tried Mulitplayer itself in AO if that works, when not, the problem is not DayZ

Try to update your drivers, Go to Nvidia.com try to search out your recent Driver (Recommend Build if possible) Run it, and click advanced, tick the Box for Fresh Install, Restart PC and I hope it should be fine after that. When Not, Try to delete the Arma 2 and Arma 2 AO Folder in Documents, it might be some settings messed up. then start the game normally, when that doesnt work, let me know

ask a friend, if he could come on the server to kill u at the location where u are, I think u should remember where u are.

Some Anti viruses block/delete some games/files etc.... It might have something to do with your Anti Virus, uninstall it and then try to reboot, when it is still there, add an exception of the DayZ folder, or change Anti Virus

Too many, I only play on servers with Active admins recently, but they get over populated aswell. The most weirdest shit was, I was repairing a Heli, My friend took care that nobody would take it, he got killed, it got stolen by a hacker who suddenly repaired it flew away while I was shooting on his engine like a fucking freak. Didn't work, told the admin, in 30secs he was banned, now after that I was securing my Bro's body, and suddenly another hackers comes up the stairs -__-, logged out, logged back in after 10mins, saw while recieving data him placing a satchel charge in front of me :o Logged in after 30mins, seems he put some awesome legit gear (so no items what not belong in DayZ) in my bros gear :D.

^coolstorybro Nah anyways, that ping, it might be something wrong with your modem/Internet Cable or anything else with the internet, try going on a empty Teamspeak server and see if u lose connection there, when yes then it has something to do with your internet, if not, I would still call your provider to fix that ping. I had that a while long but it fixed itself, my friends said that it said in-game "IIFellerII was kicked off the game: Couldn't read signature" Something to do with my Signature, try googling DayZ Kick because of Signature, that should help I think.

If it is only with Cheranus, and u really want to play Chernaus on Very High, I would recommend reinstalling once, it might help fix some bugs in the map or something. Else I dont know.

What I did I tried to enable the In-Game overlay of Steam, when I did that, somehow on any custom map (except the original maps like Chernarus and Takistan) I got the same error message. Now what to do: Click on Settings, and there should be Steam options: There are 2 boxes what can be ticked. Now you guys probably only have Launch using Steam ticked and this will not work on any custom map, for that you have to tick both of them or none. None: Will not count the gaming hours what u spend in DayZ Both: Steam Overlay works (Shift+Tab) and it will count your hours. PS:If this is not your problem I will check afterwards.

Try to go in Task manager, check the tasks names and if something sounds similar to that program, google it and see what it is, if it is such a Key measuring/recording thingy, end the Task go in Control Panel and try to look up if the program is in the unistall list, when not, go on google, type in the task and how to get rid off it, and it should give u some options. Thats how I would do it.

I had the same issue, if I walk straight or go into Menu (loads the minimum amount of objects) its all fine, but as soon as I turned around, it lagged. Now what you do, go to Nvidia, Click on All Nvidia Drivers, search out your Graphicscard, and Download the recommended Build. Install it and tick the Fresh install when it asks what to install, make sure no game or video is running. Now when its freshly installed Restart immidiatly (Don't startup anything). Come back and u should be able to play Arma 2/DayZ again. PS: I assume u have an Nvidia card cause I had the exact same problem.
