i'm not sure if this is the place for this, if it's not, direct me to the correct place, but i just wanted to gather some viewers for my stream with a friend http://www.twitch.tv/hazzor191 Just give it a look and see if you like it :) The first stream, there wasn't much action for the first few minutes of the video, and the music that i was playing gets turned off once i realize it's playing, which is while being chased by zombies, me and collin were just getting to each other in the middle of the night for the first part, then the server went down and it was mysteriously brighter, so we started shooting things of course. the stream gets better as it goes along i feel :P it's been a while since i've done anything like this so i guess i was rusty http://www.twitch.tv/hazzor191/b/321551737

those are great! i'd love to see those implemented, but i think a lot of devs are dubious about crowd sourcing. personally though, i love it :D and i'd love to see some more

if you dislike the game as it is, make a point of it in one of the ten trillion other threads, rather than suggest stupid "fixes"

i was talking to a friend about a stream he watches where often one of the devs, "vipe or vype" (i don't know the spelling) he says that he does things like port to puddn to save walking and that he can honk a horn just out of no where, and change his skins on command, i think it's cheating and shouldn't be allowed, my friend thinks he's entitled to it because he's a dev, any thoughts?

second stream finished, still not many viewers but we didn't really get up to much this time so that's not too surprising, though i did get a great shot down a field on a goat with my DMR, i was proud of that...

gonna be starting up the stream again in the next few minutes, on the hunt for ATVs

i just stopped streaming, the viewers peaked at 6 at one point which is far from glorious but none the less it pleased me for a first stream, i'll keep this going and stream whenever i play with the friend i was playing with, which is pretty much all the time i play, hopefully i can build up a reliable viewer base With regards to the screen blocker, i refuse to remove it, the walrus was because i couldn't be bothered to put up anything worth putting there, nor was i about to open up paint and make a blacked out area, though that was what i had wanted to do, but i just wanted to play DayZ! I saw something another streamer did where they placed the stream chat box over the dayZ server chat, i might try do that, regardless of the fact that almost nothing gets said, if you have a twitch account you can follow my channel, it just makes it easier for you to see when i stream, if you missed the stream you can watch the "Vod" on my stream channel, which is http://www.twitch.tv/hazzor191

i know it's a pain in the ass to block it but it's a necessary precaution because people can find the server your in and snipe you based on even pretty basic information

The day i bought OA to play this mod, i started out playing with a friend of mine, we play pretty much all of the time we play together, because of the persistent element it's just favourable that way. The first day we played it was super cautious and after playing a tonne, many many hours of scavenging guns food and ammo, we had zed kill counts of <10, we continued to play like that for about a week or so, getting better guns and moving around the landscape getting to know the game but still doing very little with all the loot we were scavenging. some time last week we were just talking about the game having both been killed by a sniper rather suddenly in the middle of nowhere, and it was a little depressing to play for so long and gather so much stuff but achieve so little, so now we run from town to town exterminating every zed with whatever gun we can find, my usual favourite being the winnie thanks to it's massive abundance of ammo. Since starting to shoot everything that's undead, and anything else that's trying to kill us, the game is a lot more fun, just my opinion and advice, play the game with a little more action and you might get a lot more fun out of it, though i have no doubts that stealth and hoarding are what some people find fun, discuss :)

considering how i use it i don't think there's much point' date=' when i say we go into a town and kill all the zeds, it's favorable to have a weapon that will call the zeds to wherever you choose to fortify, usually inside a barn, one person at each set of stairs taking a door each how you play the game, is that not obvious enough? "I like stuff, other people might like stuff" is kind of what forums are about, discuss the advantages or tactics of each style of play, or others that i didn't mention, like sitting on a tower with a CZ shooting noobs that appear in cherno, that one seems popular

adding support, mine's much much worse than it was in .2, but i was playing just fine two hours ago, now i log on and it's unplayable, send .rpt files guys, don't just post here

having read someone say that ohio had patched the HIVE thing, it did indeed fix my spawning problem :D just gotta hope other servers get that up quickly because a lot are still broken for me

i've been spawning there over and over and it quickly turned into a killing floor, i'm not sure if people killed there lost their character data, my friend spawned there and got instantly killed, and when he re spawned he was stood over his corpse that had all his old gear on, and he had all his old gear on him too, so it duped his items for him :S and he was back to where he was before the whole debug field thing, i've had no such luck and just spawn there every time

i spawn in the wilderness, which is a nice open hilly place where a few other players seem to be spawning too, we have some fun shooting at each other with makarovs but it'd be real nice if we could spawn in chernarus some time soon :/ on the other hand this update did fix the spawning issue for my friend, so it seems he got lucky and i didn't, thanks for being quick about it anyway :D

i believe people call that debug forest don't they? usually spawning again fixes it, shouldn't this be in the bugs report thread, that's where to post bugs so they get noticed

sent the file and info, hope it can get fixed quick, time spent off of DayZ is like time spent sober of crack to an addict

just making sure this thread gets noticed, spawning in prigorodki with 300 blood and a makarov over and over is NOT fun
