If you want to spawn next to your friends, a few zeds should also spawn next/close to you to make it fair to those spawning on the coast.

A biological only scenario would be best for the game. A tactical nuke induced limited radiation zone could be a scenario, but realistically,fuel air explosives would rather be employed.

Yeah, could use flood lights powered by gensets/vehicles for electrical power rather than street and building lights. Although wood fire lights placed by players would be more feasible considering the shortage of working engines. -
Been suggested already, but why not. Would also like to collect meat/limbs from players killed and use it to divert zombies (with limited effectiveness of course)

A quick question, why do zombies have lower health than humans, considering their lust for meat/flesh would make them more driven than humans?

Yeah maps would be available in shops and also houses. Hence, can't expect there to not be maps.

Like the idea of spreading out the gear. It may create choke points though and would require a group to clear out snipers / bandits around the areas. But would also increase co-operation between players.

Diary/journal system. Depends if player writes his kills in it or not so might or might not give you the kill information. -
Like the loot map off body idea. Not sure about the colours though as would rather have no annotations visible to others until map looted after dying.

Torch, sights/scope and maybe bayonet (unsure about the benefit of this considering you need to get up close with the infected and would get hit in the process, although could be god if you have no bullets). Wrt silencer the loss in damage would outweighs the noise especially with the revised damage. Wrt laser dot, there is already a cursor in the centre of the screen, and it is easier to look down the sights irl any way. I don't understand how laser dot would improve accuracy.

Make it random then whether you spawn with a back pack or nothing as if you jumped out of the ship, there would be those that would have the presence of mind to carry their packs and those that would not before running/jumping out. Although this could lead to people dying purposefully to get the packs.

Macs (mac pro) with windows bootcamp can play arma at good setting.

Don't you mean OSX. Unless you are talking about the forum or any browser related stuff. Dont think it would happen as Arma2 is written with DirectX 9, not OpenGL and DayZ will be based on Arma 3 with dx11.

So you would scroll wheel and "invite to dinner/lunch", and all that consume food/drink within the next "x" minutes get the health benefit per food/drink?

How about hand trolley (hand powered, like in Metro 2033) instead of trains? Or rail car with camper trailer, like they did in top-gear episode, i dont remember the actual episode.
