When the damage values get adjusted and every single weapon gets a damage boost the m4 will be that versatile, until that moment, any 7.62x51/54 battle rifle will be more versatile in DayZ (like M14 if they ever get added into the game). I hope there is a point where I don't need to score +5 hits to a survivor's chest without killing them, even with a .22 -

I didn't bother with ADSing back on the days of DayZ mod if the server was on regular. What for? you can just hipfire a guy's head 300 meters away.

I haven't seen any of those threads about zombies being too difficult/numerous or food being scarce (pretty much the contrary). I have seen threads asking for more weapons (civ and mil grade) wich I'm fine with. The game you describe imho would be BORING when u say at it's endgame you should be lucky to have a crossbow, so the mid game is just punching through zombies? and... I agree the ammo spawns are all over the place and it is relatively easy to find gun+bullets but in the end we are always using the same guns: SKS and Mosin for civillian weaponry since the mags for the rest of the other weapons are hard to come by. There are so many guns and so many magazines and that much ammunition because there isn't just content variety. If they add more weapons it would actually be harder because the chances for you to find the correct ammunition/magazines/attatchments would be reduced QUITE A LOT if they add like 10 weapons or so. 1- Zombies are EASY, they are just buggy. 2- Zombies aren't numerous, they just spawn with instant aggro. In the game's current state there are very few zombies. 3- The main "WANNABE" focus of this game is survival but PvP will ALWAYS, NO MATTER WHAT, BE THE REAL FOCUS. 4- Making loot super scarce will only encourage KOS as if you are starving and you see another survivor you would think "oh well maybe I can eat his flesh" or maybe "oh well maybe he has a can of beans I can eat let's kill him". Let's be honest. The endgame of DayZ atm is finding a mag for your engraved m1911 or all the attatchments for your M4/FNX. How should it be in my opinion? The weaponry loot should remain more or less the same, with a wider variety it would be way more exciting and hard to come by the right attatchments/ammo for your gun. Food? Food spawn should be reduced by at least half. You have crops, hunting, plant/fruit harvesting etc etc. Drinking at wells should be a risk because of infections. Safe ways to drink would be with the ingame purification tablets and from canned drinks. Weapons should inflict MUCH more damage to other geared survivors. I said geared because if you shoot a naked civilian he will drop almost instantly with any weapon. If the survivor is geared, the bullet will go through more layers of clothing/attatchments and the incoming damage is way too low at the moment. Items absorb too much damage... Expanded medicine with removal of low velocity bullets or else infection leading to "sick" state and death. Morphine/splint being less effective. If your leg is broken and you heal it with splint/morphine there should be a new animation, slower than running, maybe at the same speed of walking. For fun gameplay reasons, no1 wants to stand still for 1h waiting for their limbs to heal... Vehicles should be the next big factor coming into endgame. Vehicles shouldn't be hard to come by but repairing them has to be really hard. Back on the mod you would carry the wheels on your backpack, I propose for them being carried on your hands one by one and they shouldn't spawn all over the place. Same with all other repairing materials such as engine or windscreen. Basebuilding shouldn't go Epoch style, more like underground stashes, barricading, simple walls, deer-stand-like towers and it's pushing it. Making the gasmask a requirement for certain underground caves where very good loot is located and these caves are flooding with bandits/zombies.

The design of the "camo/military prison" building is very unbalanced favoring campers 100% especially on 3rd person servers. (on 1st P you can still hear the footsteps since the sound is different when they step inside the building) One guy can defend it perfectly from 2-3 guys. Tested it myself with AKM 75 drum mag when 2 guys tried to kill me (they knew I was there since they were direct chatting me telling me to surrender lol) I just 3rd personed the crap out of them RIP and o7 for being in the north btw. U literally just need to 3rd person the main door and it's gg unless they have explosive grenades wich are rare ofc, flashbangs won't work against a good opponent since you can just turn around your head and if you don't turn your head you might aswell spray your 75 drum down the main entrance until the flashbang effect goes off. First floor fell!? No problem! 2nd floor is, once again almost completely unnacessible if the defender has 5 IQ. You could just be on the area behind the stairs, behind the door of the loot room etc etc. You can't go in sprinting because of some random thingy that forces you to stop sprinting when entering a building or having a slight variation on the terrain. bug? I know this isn't going to be changed since it's work that is done and yeah, it would be a pain in the ass to remake it and even though it's alpha it's not going to happen as we have seen with other Arma3 bad features that stayed since the alpha days, I have the bad feeling this is how bohemia rolls, hope not. Forget about attacking it if you are a lone wolf, that is for sure. IMHO there needs to be windows to the 1st floor corridor and places with more altitude near those camo buildings to clear the buildings through the windows. Maybe a 2nd entrance could be a good idea too. Also it is really easy to combat log inside those since the attacker will be so afraid of going in and so will just keep the patience battle up. Seriously I feel so SO safe when I'm inside, my only fear being somebody ghosting to the top floor and coming down to kill me. I hope I made myself clear.

I think the can opener works even if ruined. Same with alcohol tincture but I suppose all of this are bugs -
Aim with it and walk forward, sway is almost perfect wich makes no sense at all... ah whatever it's an obvious bug wich will be adressed 4 sure :)

Maybe they want to reintroduce south coast spawns and don't want fresh spawns to instantly get full gear. That would be good imho -
I agree with the shower room but that can be dealt with easily if you know there is somebody inside it. On the other hand if they camp on top of the stairs 2nd floor of the prison building, you still have the chance to check through the windows and see if the defender made a mistake.

I'm just pointing out what I feel is an obvious thing to say at the game current's state wich is ALPHA and that means things can be changed. I Feel that building has to be changed for, IMHO, obvious reasons. At least they removed the prison building out of the NEAF because before, all the game's newcomers would just die to campers inside those buildings. Same with balota before the spawns were removed from that location. I feel it's poor design and mechanics that even if you take all possible precautions before entering a building (like checking corners with 3rd person or trying to see through the windows), you will die 80% of the time if a player is camping the main entrance or the stairs. Sure this is all realistic bla bla bla but it still is a game wich is supposed to be fun. I played since the first days of the mod, died countless times to bugs etc. I don't care if I die to a bug now, or to a poor mechanic etc BUT maybe other players don't feel the same way. I'm not suggesting a complete revamp of the building, 1 single window is what I think that would enhance the building in a great measure. I don't agree with you when u said that the attacker has a bigger advantage using 3rd person since you can't "bend" the camera to see what's behind corners in a long enough corridor. There are 2 or 3 steps on the stair before entering the building wich "stagger" your character even if you don't want to stop. After going through that stair you still have to press again W x2 for your character to keep sprinting and be able to "rush" your opponent if you want to have a surprise effect or maybe test his reaction time. You can't rush because of that. If the defender feels threatened he can just log off very easily too... Btw, I love all this trolly criticism to me from other posters (OP) for pointing out possible bad features in an ALPHA. Gr8 community, 10/10
