The little bambi came up with an idea, aww cute, Oh right back to seriousness, basically..... this idea sucks, i don't know if you have ever gone paint balling but they don't hurt and have no chance of killing you, and if you think about the fact that your a civilian who has washed up on the shore, you would not have a weapon. You can tell when people are bambies because they complain about not having a gun at the start :P

The problem would be this, riot shields aren't bullet proof like they are in COD, and also when alot of zombies start hitting you they would be able to tear the shield off you, this would give it some downsides instead of all upsides.

Protip, get an L85AWS and look at the dude from the thermal scope feature, if its less white then the dude is dead, also where the blood is coming from, is where they were shot, so if they were hit by an axe its most likely in the middle of their body, hope this helps you. -
Zombies are trying to tear your flesh off to eat it, its just the animations are crap so it looks like their punching you, and only little bambi's would think the infected are too strong, its cute really, but seriously they are fine the way they are. also you do smell in dayz, you've just come off the coast out of the sea, you smell like a wet dog so the infected follow their nose :P

Well you can disagree all you like, but the fact is im right so :P to you sir, and also the military grade electronic vision equipment uses special types of batteries that last longer than normal, so finding them would be a real pain, and lets be honest, you hardly even have one set of NVG's for more than a couple of days or weeks because some bambi shoots you for no reason.

As I said, there's no point in having them for the items i specified as you can't have even played for an entire year so pointless to add them to those items.

Arg, Bambies talking about things they know nothing about, All these posts about how electronic scopes and NVG's should have battery life, They do have a battery life but they are military grade which means there battery life lasts for a year or so (depending on the make, they may only last for a few hours or days, but the thermal/nv scopes last for a year at least) before a need of new battery's arises, so as many people have said in posts about this before, Its a stupid idea and if you want realism it wont fit, Just wanted to clarify you on that :)

From what I heard the offroad has been re-added, it was removed due to a bug, so now its just a case of getting one from green mountain :P -

Just to clarify you on this, When you die that character dies, when you respawn you are a completely new character, so in this case you would not be the same person thus your dog would not remember you.

I clicked on the link I saw where this was said, but now it says I don't have permission to view it?!?!? But basically rocket said that the bandit and hero system was flawed in the aspect that it was holding back new types of clothing for players, so he said he will remove them hopefully from the mod but at least from the standalone, sorry I can't find the thread, you could always look for it yourself but if you don't want to you'll just have to take my word for it. -

Guys... God you whine so much you can't read what rocket says, bandit and hero skins are being removed thus the perks that go with them, so no need to worry. -
Just to clarify you on this matter, bandit and hero skins are being removed from the mod already thus meaning they will not be in the standalone, plus your idea is also in the standalone, diff clothes etc. so unfortunately your thread is pointless and conveys no information relevant to what should be implemented as the ideas already are (Sorry mate :/)

Spawning in a flying C130 is kinda unrealistic, the military is either infected or fled from chenarus, so there would be no air drops, and the whole spawning where you want defeats the object of mystery you get when you spawn in on the coast... how did you get there? did your boat run aground? where are you, those things.
