No and no and no. I develop my own mentality and if a forced dissonance arises between my character and how my mental state actually is (due to the the gameplay and its effect on me) I would be the puppetmaster of an avatar that isn't me. It's not my story. And my story is the crux of DayZ. I get combat stress, I get so pissed off , I QQ, after a 1 hour counter sniping battle I run head first (and fully geared) into the M107 because i just don't give a shit anymore. I kill people because i want a chuckle, I save somebody but don't team becasuse I want to help and I team up because I can't take the world alone. Some people would thirve, some people crack and all the while human dynamism makes or breaks the player, not RPG stats. DayZ is one of the few games that lets you transpose yourself, in a completely dynamic way, onto an avatar. Heck it's a full body experience, the adreniline, the nerves, the exictment. I do not want to reach a gameplay threshold where I am fully in charge of conscience but my character isn't. It shatters the entire experience. SA will (hopefully) push this by experience to the limit refining the current one, not because RPG/Skills/Perks/Karma thresholds are added. Thats a new game and a done and dusted, oversaturated, dime a dozen game. -

Maky is primarilly a Zed head popper when you run inside. Starting with 8 rounds isn't going to change shit. It just makes your first loot grab piss easy. Adding flares and taking away the bag is brilliant. -

any possibilty to safely hide / save your gear ?

I thought an addition to the mod could be drop backpack->save backpack but as the mod stands there is no 100% place to hide gear unless you find a good spot not very visible from the air, not visible from the ground, easy to get too but not a lot of traffic that might go that way. -
alas i'm looking at ocing my 930...or upgrading, for some reason i've lost performance (could be zombie spawn range) in high pop areas and im getting killed due to lag when recording :( that and 6 days of work at new job and other things...im planning on getting back into it, stand alone can't come soon enough

Yes ...but before a prision (well they aren't mutally exclusive)...a pawn shop, with a hideen basement with a gimp hanging from the ceiling, who was forgotten during the panic but was infected and hopeless tries to attack you despite his binds. And! If you can lock people in jail...that was be the best...if there some type of KO function and you could carry people.

Add some chokes for shotguns, and if birds were added to hunt this would be epic! Add at least 5 shotgun types, maybe more. Good for trade and diversity, adds to the feeling of a desperate scrouge. You want 42g Magnums to defend against bandits? Game says take no4 with this crappy side by side shotgun, work with what you have worm. 4, BB, SSG or SG and Slug...heck magnum...oh gosh so many you could add. But chokes would be nice, we can choose our patterns that way. Nothing like leisurely morning wing shooting to hunting bandits with full choke magum...or a rifled choke for slugs for shits and giggles, they had that option in stalker that was damn epic...over and under with slugs, pulling off headshots was glorious

Ohh and anybody who thinks 8 and a maky is going to fundemetally change the way the coast works has pretty high expections of what 8 rounds and maky can do....it will make the first loot grab pretty piss easy though. No longer desperate freeizned search for the axe to kill the zombie train...just some lazy headshots...too late to boost the maky sound pull and negelct to include that change in the notes?

...don't get it. You won't more types of ammo and the ability to stacks rounds into specific mags in a customised order or "dual magazines" (what is it)? An extended magainze? A DYI banna mag? To the above no weapon system i know of has two seperate mags that and you can choose which will feed into the same receiver the next time a round is cycled, you just swap two different magazines. You know like die hard 2? When the bad guys used yellow tape mags for blank rounds and blue for live rounds. Quicker, better, less bulky, more certainty. I don't think a 'select magazine feeding system exists' for any small arms system ...at least one that is common! I support different ammunition types, especilly if plate/body armor, hunting big and dangerous game is added but im not seeing how adding two different types of ammunition into one magazine is good ...do you alternate say btween JHP, LRN, Solid,...then again why do that? Why not just have two seperate mags, one for JHP the other X Y or Z so you don't get confused of loose track of how you stacked it.

After being counter sniped through trees at 500+ meters by a m107 after running over a different hill I'm looking forward to the m107 being fixed. -edit- YAY road flare starting gear! Fuck the torch shit got real, bring back the disco. -quiver is good news too, it was a cluster fuck of wtf is going with these arrows Can't wait for this and the other equally awsome features, Razor/crew delivering again.

I'd never take army gear over properlly constructed hunting gear, which allows you to pick and choose the best combination of clothing. And pants are no less important clothing article than anything else, they are critical. Pants get wet very easily (dew off grass, kneeing down, sitting) so if you don't have a material that can evaportate water and wick sweat of your body your legs will freeze. If you don't have spares or leggings that can dry you will have less insulation in your sleeping bag. A good choice of pants/short combination is espeically important for wet weather because despite your choice rainjacket from cheap poncho through to gortex, an outer shell won't defy gravity, rain rolls down and your pants will be the wettest part of your body if you choose the wrong gear.The focal point for this pants nightmare is your penis. It withers and cries and your balls can't be found. They retreat deep into your scrot. Pants are my least favorite piece of kit because they can be the most unpleasant. I like thermals with shorts. Diversity. As for the clothes idea...it's happening. So take that op!

CZ loot run...man i go far and wide for that thing...fucking painful, i honestly find more incidental DMRs/high tier guns that im not looking for...BUT...you do come across it eventually. Where do you find yours? I go kemenka north for a long stretch of + tier farms...got a better run to look? I only once got rangerfinder+CZ combo but my character dissapeared into a new patch. The worst used to be seeing 'cz' mags but they were just bait and switch enfield mags... Good guide too...some action wouldn't hurt! (But its suprisingly hard to make a sniper tutorial with combat footage, but im sure you have some) One thing i would add is that most 'snipers' need to add, at minium, one third or double their shooting distance, most snipers in dayz pick spots too close to where they intend to shoot. -

0o Ahh CoD you have have convinced people that the coriolis effect is actually relevant to "sniping"...well played CoD...well played...next we can add a riot shield to deflect explosions. Add wind and sniping is pretty much dead becuase most people who are shooting long range rifles in ArmA are so bad at it that you can't call them snipers. I think i have been one shot->killed outright, from a distance of over 400 meters, once. Was memorable because I heard nothing->died->soft AS50 thud 2 seconds later. A good shot, i was at a full sprint. The majoirty of the time the bullet is getting spammed/panic fire or a more careful shot trys to walk it onto me. Not that getting sniped is really a problem if people can learn from their mistakes. -

No spawn bandage, no spawn bag, maybe a torch, no location indication with login, no waypoints, no sidechat, no death messages....x10 the amount of old bikes. No cheating admins. -
Find hatchet. See what happens. And an after thought. Don't commit suicide despite your spawn. You will waste more time dicking around than you could runnning somewhere. Kemenka is a good spawn...so good its not funny.
