    I've been thinking of taking the hero path, instead of the bandit one, and was wondering if there was a way to make friends or at least not make it so that the person shoots at you. I know some people, but we've just turned to being bandits in our current servers. So I went to a new server, and am going to try to be a hero.

    I found a Ghillie in Kamenka before I got a weapon. Found a revolver in a toilet.

    I'm pretty sure those type of people are termed mentally insane. By the way, if DayZ was real life, that would mean guns spawn in supermarkets and fire stations.

    I play a server where you start with an M40A3 Camo, Ghillie Suit, Morphine, cooked meat, antibiotics, two mountain dews, and a silenced Makarov. PVP servers like these can be fun to blow off steam. Me and my friends currently have the PBX on it, and I've gotten about three kills total, as a bandit. Its a fun server.

    No. You can only use zeroing, estimation, and rangefinders, most of the time. Unless your on a pvp server, like me.

    I do this with Barracks. Clear everything out, put it outside, go around 150 meters away, wait 3-10 minutes, repeat till I get good gear. I got an SVD Camo and M14 this way.
