Woah woah woah, take everything out of context. First of, my game name is Thule, my roommate is Jesse. He threatened to DDoS, not me. He gets very unhappy when we get banned for no reason. That being said, did you get DDoS'd I sincerely doubt it. He makes idle threats. Second, I had just logged onto your server, the player who brought up that I DC'd said, and I quote "Were you up in NW airfield last night?". There was no mention of a servername, you assumed that I was on yours and wrongfully banned me for it. Third, yes DC'ing is an exploit, and the core of exploits are that they are in fact - not cheating. Exploits fall to the developers to patch, which in fact Rocket said he was working on( http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=8029 ). And regarding your last point to my ban. I understand it is an exploit, and agree I probably shouldn't have done it, on a side note though, Rocket has set up explicit rules for bannable offenses, and a single DC from a DIFFERENT SERVER is not on that list. A warning would have been nice, a kick even, but a permanent ban is not acceptable, especially since it didn't occur while you were on to confirm it. Although you have no reason to believe me, I can honestly say that I could have made it away from the fight. Cameron hit me once, I was not bleeding, no broken bones, and it was night so I am certain I could have spent the time to run away, find a barn, and kill the zombies without Cameron giving chase. I just think your use of the ban is a harsh tactic considering the situation... And @ Lectic, I didn't admit to "to dc'ing from fights". I admitted to disconnecting from ONE fight 24 hours before, and on a different server. I understand your server admin's desire to dissuade constant use of exploits, but has he heard of fact-checking? Next time talk to the guy, find out if it was actually your server, and look at the surrounding situation rather than just immediately permanently banning. This is what I don't want to see in server admins:

Regarding the server admins...they don't abide by the rules Rocket has for their banning. Neither me nor Bad_Habit should have been banned, especially without warning.

I generally don't agree to DCing to save one's hide, especially when you use it to kill players after they should have killed you fair and square, on the other hand, I also don't think it should be a bannable offense, especially without review. I was playing on a server the other night...Long story short I had a horde of zombies chasing me, night fell, and a player fired a single bullet at me. I ran into a building and DC'd. I could have gotten away safely, as I had no broken bones and over 10k blood, but I just didn't want to deal with it. I logged out, and didn't log back in again. Just quit for the day there. I log onto a different server the next day and the guy who shot at me happens to be there. Admins found out I dc'd ONCE on a different server and *BAM*...banned. Yea, I used an exploit and I know I probably shouldn't have, but a single offense on a different server shouldn't constitute a perma-ban from a server, especially if it didn't happen on said server. That being said, I wholeheartedly would like to see a build in discouragement for people dcing in full PVP as I've had people do it to me. Also it removes some of the admin "assumed" roles as someone now can just implicate that a person dc'd and get them kicked/banned. A timer seems like the most effective way when it comes to zombies as you'll get attacked as you stand there. In full blown PVP I'm not so sure as I end up laying down and scoping out the area after initial shots are fired so simply time-basing it may not be the best way.

These guys seem to ban at the slightest provocation. I got banned today for dc'ing from a zombie and player combo fight last night, on a different server...someone I ran into recognized my screen name. Granted, I probably shouldn't have done it...but the fact of the matter remains that these admins wield their hammers of banness way to lightly...
