    DayZ Stories

Another story from The Seeker: I decided to travel to the north and explore the villages I haven't seen yet, while I was in Cherno I thought about going to the supermarket and take some supplies like food, soda and some other gear like ammo and a new backpack. When I finished packing up everything I looked on my map and marked all the spots I wanted to go to. My first stop was in Kozlovka. I went to the dear stand to look for some awesome weapons and I found nothing than some useless ammo! I continued my journey and was looking for more buildings that could have more loot inside. After looking for some more supplies I left Kozlovka for Drozinho. From the distance I could see some other survivors, that didn't look very friendly, I think they were bandits. I decided to infiltrate the village and found nothing, only some tin cans. I think these guys took everything and so I left the second village behind me. Next Stop: Pogorevka When I arrived in Pogorevka I came across something that I would never imagine to find in Chernarus: A crashed helicopter! There were so many zombies that I had to prone to get past them, I looked on one side of the chopper and found a M249 Saw! I was so lucky to find such an awesome weapon with more than 400 bullets. I immediately left Pogorevka without looking behind, if some bandit would see me, he would definitely try to get my weapon. I decided than to go to Vyshnoye. The first building in Vyshnoye that I scanned was the big wooden building at the eastern exit of the village. And I had even more luck: I found a sniping rifle! I was so happy to have two awesome weapons! I left the building and saw some huge tower in the distance, it seemed to be the ruins of Zub. I went there in hope not to run into another survivor. And I had luck: At the top I ended my lucky journey without fighting one single stranger!

Hacking is getting out of hand.

But think about the players who bought ARMA II: CO only to play DayZ! If the standalone's coming out they are going to try to keep the hackers of the servers, but what about the gamers who continue playing DayZ as a mod? Are they going to be supported too? Because the interview says that the only possibilty they have to get the game back popular is the standalone. So the players have to buy another game, that they have for free as a mod!

    DayZ Stories

Today I had one of the best but also worst DayZ ever! Why the best and worst? Just read! I (ingame name: The Seeker) was starting my game and found myself out of Cherno, I'm currently a loner and so I wandered into town trying to avoid the zombies. I went to the city center to explore some pubs. The first pub I entered offered me some amazing gear: A ghillie suit and lots of ammo! I was so happy I could not believe that I just found it! I continued walking and went to another builduing and found even more ammo but then I suddenly heard some guy reloading his weapon! I went up the first floor and so him lying on the ground. I shouted: "Friendly. I'm friendly, don't shoot me!" and he didn't shoot me, he was looking for some gear to! We shared some words and asked me to come with him, I said no thanks and he wished me good luck and dissapeared. I decided to go to the supermarket and the church but I didn't find a lot of useful things, so I left Cherno and suddenly a bad thing happened: I got killed with all other players on the server... By what? A hacker! I was very mad at him, I was like: "No this just didn't happen." But unfortunately it was real! I spawned again, outside Kamenka. I decided to go to the village. I ran trough the forest to have some cover. And then the next amazing thing happened before I entered Kamenka: I found a motorcycle! I was so happy I instantly jumped on it and drove away, unfortunately it was very low on fuel! I drove past some zombies and I saw a guy running, the guys name was Ryan. He asked me: "Could you give me a lift?" And I said: "Sure!" He asked me if I could drive him to Elektro because his stuff was lying there! We quit Kamenka and were on the way to Komarovo! Just outside Komarovo the motorcycle ran out on fuel. We decided to look for a Jerry can and found one! We met 4 other survivors, that were ALL friendly. That was the first time a saw a bunch of survivors, who didn't shoot me on sight. One of the guys joined mine and Ryan's quest to get some fuel! We ran back to the motorcycle, but some zombies were following us, I tried to kill em' with my hatchet but then happened the next sad thing, everyone got killed again by a hacker! The worst of everything is that I lost a friendly survivor who helped me out a lot for a little time! That's the story of my DayZ! Survivors I met (all ingame names): 1st: Jirka (Pub) 2nd: Ryan (Kamenka) 3rd: Raven (Komarovo) I want to thank you for helping me out and also for not shooting me down!

    ''Don't shoot! Friendly! Please!''

It's hard to identify if people are friendly or not, for example I was in Cherno and I've been followed by zombies and didn't have any weapons so I ran to a train station, there was a dude with a gun and I said "I'm friendly!" he said he was too, so I bandaged myself and asked him if he was alone and he said yes, he shoot zombies to keep them of from me, after I was finished with bandaging I thanked him and went away and he said "No problem". Unfortunately, I never saw him again. When I entered that train station I thought he would shoot me, but I was suprised he didn't! I think there are good people out there you just have to pay attention!
  7. Also the game is very realistic, imagine if there was a zombie apocalypse and there wouldn't be any bandits? There will always be some people who have to mess around, zombie apocalypses wouldn't be the same without the bandits, think about that.
  8. Yeah I totally agree with you! If there wouldn't be bandits or pvp I wouldn't even touch it! It gives you the thrill to continue playing even if you get shot down and lose all your equipement! If you keep all your gear for hours it's going to be the same over and over again. And if you die and start from 0 again it makes even more fun to look for weapons :D

    Introduce yourselves

Hey guys, I'm PulseSlayer from Luxembourg and I started playing DayZ today, but followed everything on Youtube and the Forums. If you want to hook up with me just read the signature below :) If you don't own a Steam Copy of the game just watch out for my ingame name: The Seeker. I'm also looking for other luxembourgish players because none of my friends actually play this game. If someone has some problems regarding writing English, I also understand German and French! I hope I'm going to meet some of you out there! See you in the Wilderness ;)
