Is this of any use to me on a server provided by Zap-hosting? I installed it as the guide says but I cant seem to run it and haven't yet seen a message to say that the server is protected by it so can only assume it isn't running, I would love a decent anti-hack solution and if this won't work for me can somebody advise me what I can use?

Can anyone help with me with getting my server updated to the latest beta version and possibly installing DayZ anti-hax because I'm really getting sick of the server being very updated and the last support ticket I sent was closed without anything being done.

Well Matt Lightfoot stated they are on course for December on Twitter yesterday so I'd put $50 on it being true, OK I'm biased coz he is a fellow Mancunian but fook the haters, on a separate note I just watched the W**z footage and I couldn't help but think DayZ meets L4D ;)

My facepalm has to be leaving three noobs on the airfield after letting them see me spend a good couple of hours (low pop server) there killing Zeds and looting the barracks, I came back to find one dead and two in that bad a state that one had to Alt&F4 from the zeds and one who had got D/C'ed whilst in a vehicle died upon reconnect inside the vehicle, needless to say only one survived the afternoon but he died that evening by walking off the top floor of the factory at Polana

Revolver because if its not a head shot then one shot is going to put you in a mess and the second will finish you, most other handguns in DayZ are shit compared to the revolver at such close range

If you are on/in a vehicle they shouldn't spawn at all unless you get off/out, if they are doing then there is something wrong

Now I'm a Hero but TBH if they brought back the old Bandit skin I'd be tempted to all out bandit just for that skin ;)

Wish I could say the same, always dropping for no reason, support tickets passed onto "someone more experienced" then not resolved in a reasonable time (apart from once) no simple way to update the mod files, I say to be honest you get what you pay for, yes the server is good when I don't have issues with it but otherwise I wouldn't advise someone to host with them

Just ban them already, duping is against the rules and if you have chat proof they wont get any sympathy on here when they come complaining ;)

Had a hacker in my server last night and upon checking the RPT to see what damage he had done I found the one particular line reproduced nearly 600,000 times (yes six hundred thousand) increasing my rpt file size from an average of 2-5Mb to over 110mb, just wondered if anyone would know why this was happening? The line in question was: "HIVE: UPDATING OBJ: [16850100# 1055266: ural.p3d,"damage"] / UID: "13498754394088"" now I know this is the Ural and since this happened the Ural has disappeared completely so I know it was probably destroyed but producing 600k lines of code???

So will it stay there or will it respawn?

@Orlok I have to say that sometimes written chat isn't so much ignored as not noticed when you are busy playing the game and keeping your eye out for other players and threats or at least with me and I'm an Admin (who doesn't have a holier than thou attitude, especially not with noobs because as I say we all started somewhere and thats coming from somone who has played FPS at Semi-pro level)

Someone may have stole it but also the server may have restarted spawning the vehicle back at its last save point, to save it's position you would have needed to get out of the vehicle and then you could get back in.

Before I make my comment on the situation the OP is discussing - WHEN ARE GOING TO GET A NEGATIVE BEANS BUTTON just for the idiots who post trolling or downright idiotic comments I agree with the OP on this one, you DO NOT take peoples work, add your logo and say it's courtesy of your company or at least you don't if you have any morals at all, I will never pay for a server from Vilayer and will be making a rule for my team that they are to avoid all Vilayer servers where possible, they'll soon feel it when people stop paying for servers because they're always empty.

Yes OP I did mean that your post makes me feel that you want them too be too much of a threat and more like CoD zombies in that they just keep on coming in bigger and bigger numbers, I agree on them being more of a threat but with balance too because if they kept the spawn mechanism roughly the same (you kill one set and a new set spawns almost immediately) nobody would last very long at all and a lot of players would just not buy the game, which then destroys the player base and makes teaming up even harder because you need to find players you can trust or even get along with in the first place, or at least in my eyes that is. I also think that some places should be safe zones or at least be capable of becoming safe zones because otherwise how do you team up, this would also allow for areas to become more PvP friendly and other more PvE maybe.

If so then Debug doesn't just break the icons, it breaks the mechanisms completely :o I've had debug on, eaten to make sure I had 12k blood and it worked for me so maybe his game is bugged.

There has to be a point though were Zeds are a threat but not TOO much because it would make it Zombie killing only (like COD zombies), no survival, no "game" as such, too many and too intelligent would make it so that all you ever do is join, kill Zeds and die, some of us (I would hope) want to be able to actually do more than just kill Zeds, yes Zeds need better AI but there has to be a bit of balance and what I see you as asking for is a little too much of Zeds and little else.

Is there any way an Admin can check to see if the server has actually spawned a Heli at all?? don't need to know where just IF it has.

If you don't know how to then don't mess with the registry or you may end up with more problems, try fully uninstalling Arma and then running Ccleaner, selecting the registry section and letting it clean all registry errors, run it till you see no more errors and then re-install Arma and Dayz

Did anybody even read my post about a banned IP being assigned to innocent players, seriously some people on this forum are complete F'wits or simply don't read properly.
