Just delete the game and try again before trying anything else, there is a problem with your game files.

So delete the game files and re-install it because its obviously a problem with the game, see I was right about ignoring the problem and just trying to join, just quickly how old are you OP?

if there is an error you need to fix that first FFS not just keep trying to join a game, you may now have the old Battleeye files or simply not have fixed the issue, try verifying the game files again and see what happens.

If this is an update I need this on my server NOW ;)

click on the game in steam, right click, choose properties, then at next windows choose "local files" then "verify integrity of game cache"

verify the game files in Steam, that may just fix the issue.

from what little info you have given it sounds like a community ban which would be impossible on a new account that has never played/owned ARMA or DayZ unless somehow your IP is on the CBL which I don't think is possible

So if its in Steam what does the Ban message say because you shouldn't be able to buy a banned steam key unless you bought a whole account from someone.

Get ARMA II OA and ARMA free, ARMA OA is dirt cheap. Also I looked at your post number and some of your posts, you have my beans BUT not my CD key ;) I believe you on wanting to get a friend onto the game, hell I even did it for one of my friends and lost £5 dollars to a scumbag on here but I still have some trust for people.

Have to say I'm with the OP on this one, Rocket and Co did an amazing job in producing this Mod, BI gave a solid backbone for the game with ARMA II, people can say what they want about hackers and bugs but I say that I have more fun playing this game than most of the games I've played in 26 years of having a computer, if I could code I'd put all my spare time into helping deal with the script kiddies that plague us all, as it is I do what I can by running a server and trying my best to make playing on it enjoyable for the people who join. TLDR: Rocket we love you (or at least some of us)

I'm not sure but I believe certain GSP's provide this by default, I have reservations about everyone having access to this as well because not everyone can be trusted to use it as it should be, Good work OP keep it up ;)

Being on low pop public is no safer than any other level of public, I've been on with only two other players had a scripter join and die quite a few times, and as for Russians DO NOT get me started with those POS, I mean you only have to look at the facts available around 60% of the players banned by Punkbuster are Russian so what does that tell you, OK DayZ doesn't use PB but you get my point that the biggest majority of the hacking scumbags come from Russia

If you don't want to shoot someone your playing the wrong game and IMO your going to get very bored VERY quickly, find a crew you xcan run with get used to the idea of killing other players (when you need to) and you'll have way more fun.

Looks like the OP will not be playing much DayZ with these requirements, for a start Arma II is not meant to be run for so long so restarts must be reasonably frequent and hackers happen when they happen. My Advice: Go play another game.

I am one of the people who think that some admins have powers they could abuse BUT I would love to have access to such a piece of software because I hate hackers and feel I need more power to beat them and destroy their fun, so I'm all for this tool.

I disagree with the idea completely, say what you want I'm not going to agree with it, loads of other games allow this kind of change and I would hate it of DayZ didn't allow it. One big reason I have is that Trolls and the like can use it to follow you across servers, yes they can use it to grief also by changing their own name but I do not want some little sh1t following me because he feels like it and being able to change my name or create a new character with a different name is what I want.

BEC no starting is a little concerning and also I've not seen it restart at 17:00 UTC for a good few days now, the auto restarts are usually bad restarts anyway so I fix that myself at all times. Just need Anti-hax but I'm not holding my breath for it to be implemented. Oh and thanks again Xforce ;)

I finally managed to get my server with these guys updated BUT only thanks to one of their customers who was more than helpful in giving me the info needed. Now all I need is to get something like DayZ anti-hax working
