This is actually due to several things. One of the reasons you may get teleported is discussed in this thread: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/9554-regarding-genders-skins-teleportation/. Another reason I've heard is that you joined a server with an incorrect hive version which causes you to respawn at the coast, with all your gear. It is due to the server not communicating with hive correctly, due to the incorrect hive version, thus it "loses" your position so it needs to respawn you, and all the valid spawn locations are near the coast. As for those who have died, all I ask is that do you have a hero skin? There is a bug now with hero skins... if you log out under certain conditions with the hero skin your character will die in the spot with all your gear. If not, I am not quite sure what is going on. (Just fyi, I am in no way an expert when it comes to coding or anything, but I would assume that when the hero skin was added, in addition to the many new beta patches, something got outdated and is overwriting something somewhere and is causing these respawns. As I said, I am no expert but this is just my guess). Anyways, the best thing to do is to be very careful at which servers you join. Make sure the servers you join have the exact Dayz version as well as Arma 2 beta version. The servers don't always display the versions they are running, however. The best way to check this I found is using DayZ Commander, as it shows you what version you have installed and what version the server has installed. Btw, sorry about the long post, but just thought I would help a few of you out in figuring out what is happening with all the random respawns.
