Thank you for the info! Does that mean new limping/wounded animations or new character damage system maybe?

    Make Chernarus an Island??????????

Making Chernarus an island doesn't imply that players would spawn all over the coast, players can continue spawning SE as always.
  3. Here are some suggestions I think would improve the UI fluidity: 1.- Accidental weapon/item loss: When removing weapons/items from hands if there is not enough space in your inventory the game should tell you "there is no free space in your inventory" rather than dropping your weapon/item to the ground. That would avoid any accidental item loss. When you are double carrying and try to climb a ladder the game would tell you the same "there is no free space in your inventory". The only way to drop a weapon or item should be by hand, dragging the item from your character to the vicinity tab or by throwing it. 2.- Improving UI fluidity: -When you want to swap an item like backpacks, shirts, pants, etc and the only option is swap, the game shouldn't ask you every time, it should do it without asking, like the old UI. If you are dragging one kind of item on top of another item of the same kind and status, the items should combine without asking. - Improving Weapon management: When you drag ammo or magazines into the weapon you are holding in hands the game should load those ammo/magazines into the weapon without asking every time, I think the swap option should be removed in that case. When you are holding a weapon in hands and you drag the incorrect ammo/magazines into the weapon the game should tell you "that ammo/magazine doesn't fit into the weapon" rather than swapping the ammo for your weapon and possibly dropping your weapon to the ground, that can ruin a firefight. If the player isn't holding any weapon in hands only then the player should be able to take/swap those ammo/magazines in hands, the only reason a player would do that is because he has no more free space in their inventory. -Maybe a good feature would be if you bind ammo to the hotbar the game should try to load this ammo into the weapon you are holding in hands (like the magazines), if it's the correct ammo for that weapon, if not, instead of swapping the weapon for the ammo the game should tell you "the ammo doesn't fit into the weapon" or something like that. Overall I think is good if the game takes time for doing an action but it shouldn't be complicated or take too much steps for telling the game what action you want to do. Here's a video showing some of the actions that can make you lose your weapons:
  4. There's an option for disabling those messages, the game wouldn't tell you there is no free space for storing the item you are removing from hands with messages disabled but it wouldn't drop the item to the ground either, I would prefer a temporary icon of a backpack with an X over it or something like that, appearing in a screen corner just for 1 second or so, but no icons or text is ok too. In real life you would know when you drop an item into the ground, the problem in Dayz is sometimes you accidentally drop items without knowing it. Dropping an item should be always a player decision. Yesterday I convinced my friend to try Dayz again, he dropped his axe like 5 times and his pistol like 5 times or more in less than 5 minutes, I was behind him telling him all the time, you dropped this, you dropped that.... I mean, It's absurd... I hope they fix this and is not really working as intended, I never played a game other than Dayz that make's you lose your gear in the most silly ways.

    Persistance - suggestions for items

I think only fireplaces make of stones should be persistent, and maybe fireplaces with tripod, fireplaces were persistent before but I think they removed persistence on fireplaces because of server performance. Gas cans shouldn't take so much space, I think it should take much less space rather than make it persistent. A pallet would be nice for storing tires, it should persist for some time so you have enough time for fixing a car. maybe with the ability to cover the pallet and wheels with a plastic. Now barrels are very rare to find because everyone is using it for storage as are the easiest to hide, in the other hand you will find tents everywhere I guess because are very hard to hide, being able to cover your tent with leaves and branches is a must imo because that's the first thing a survivor would do after pinching his tent in the wilderness. I really like this :) I hope it comes soon:

Why do I keep losing my gear?

I rejoined the server very quickly today after a server crash, all my inventory was gone, pants, shirt, shoes, everything and I spawned in Vybor, I was lucky I was a fresh spawn when it happened.

    New wild grass

This grass looks awesome, I hope they make new tress and bushes also so we can hide our tents better, forests are a bit poor at the moment, maybe not as dense as the new Arma III tanoa map, but I think forest in Dayz needs more love.

    DayZ SA Trains?

A train or a handcar would be awesome and it would give the players something more to fight for.

    Pitch military tents

If no message appears it should be a bug then, I dunno.

    Pitch military tents

The terrain must be quite plain, you cannot pinch the tent on sloping terrain, I think you can pinch the little tent in sloping terrain as it is smaller, I'm not sure.
  11. Hi, here are some suggestions regarding tents and storage: Tents have a very limited storage capacity. For example in a blue tent you can only store 60 slots (like twice a backpack capacity). This is really low storage capacity in my opinion, in games like Rust, H1z1, life is feudal, etc you can store all you want there's no need of deleting most of your stuff because the storage is very limited. I believe players only stores a few weapons and ammo because of that, I would like to be able to store things like clothes, utils, wheels, gas canisters, etc. For example gas canisters and wheels are impossible to store, you would need a lot of tents just for storing it, it makes no sense. In the case of storing wheels it would be nice to be able to put a pallet on the floor and store the wheels there. You can remember where you saw a wheel in a garage for example, when you go back there the wheel probably will be not there because the loot cycling replaced that wheel with something else. So the only place I think you can store wheels is in the car that you are trying to fix, and that place is not where you want to store the wheels for obvious reasons, you probably would do the opposite, taking all the wheels the car has and hide it in some place until you get all the wheels that you need, but right now you can't do that. I think tents and barrels need to have their storage capacity increased x4 at least. In a real barrel you would be able to store 5 to 10 weapons easily, or like two ot three times the contents of a big backpack, if not more. Right now you can't cover the actual tents with leaves (that's the first thing somebody would do after placing a tent without walls), I believe there are some new tents coming http://www.dayztv.com/pic/dayz-0-60-improvised-tent-3d-model-preview/ but I'm afraid those tents seems to hold even less items. I also think the player should be able to check the timer of the tents and barrel and the longer the tent is owned by someone the longer it will take to be deleted. I think right now the tent will be deleted after 8 days, that is a really low despawn timer for a tent/barrel. The upcoming basebuilding with walls is very cool but the old Dayz hidden tents / lonewolf style is also very good and I hope it doesn't disappear. I think the trees needs to be randomized again, hiding a tent is really hard mainly because of the distribution of trees/bushes; letting the chance of the trees being more close to each other thus creating more hidden spots for the tents; making more low bushes and letting those bushed be more close to each other would help also. Most of the trees are standing exactly like the mod, that means the places for hiding tents are well known because that places are the same as in Dayz mod. The main point I'm trying to make is let us store whatever we find like the other survival games, letting us to store so little make's the game more annoying than enjoyable, I don't really care if the loot is twice the scarce but let us keep what we find.

    Suggestions for tents and storage

I think for example is hard to get a pistol working, for example I have in my tent 4 pistol and 1 pistol mag that doesn't fit in any of my pistols, that's all right if I have space for storing it because some day I'll find a mag for those pistols, that doesn't mean I would end having an arsenal ready for war, if that's the case I think loot should be cut (less ammo, weapons, mags) instead of cutting the quantity of objects we can store. I played lots of "survival" and mmo games, in that games it takes time to get things working, you go outside your home and start looting, gathering etc, then come back to your home and put it all together to get something working. In some games it takes a few days to get something working, in others could take even months, because you need hard to get materials, skills or the loot drop for the item you are looking for is very scarce, I think that's the way to go. If you spawn and you are all gear up in one or two hours finding anything you are after, what's the point of having a base? It almost takes more time to go to the tent and store the stuff than looting it all over again if you die.
  13. My favourite city is Cherno because it is very big, can hold lots of players and it's very well made, then Novodmitrovsk but it's empty lately, Svetlojarsk I like it a lot, I think is very well made and beautiful but It can't hold as many players, Berezino, Electro, Severograd and Zelenogorsk are good too. After I go looting somewhere I always end coming back to a big city, I think some players likes to spend most of the time inside cities as well. There are no big cities in the north like Cherno or Novodmitrovsk for example. The best cities in my opinion are near the coast, I know that's a lot to ask for but a huge city like Cherno in the center of the map it would be awesome, somewhere around here:

Big city in the center of the map

Expanding Novy and Stary could be nice too or merging both into a big city.

    My indepth problem with P

As a player I would like to know the number of players that the server has, I don't mind about the names. Having to relog in order to check the number of players is not good, when a server has less than 40 players or so I normally switch server.

    Status Report - 06 Jul 2016

I suppose this patch is so hot because of the server crashes, when the server restarts is always daytime, in the morning I believe. I think the server time should be persistent too so if the server crash or restarts at 5.pm in game time for example, when the server restarts it should continue at that time.

There's any chance of increase that timer in the future? 8 days seems a short time. It would be nice if when you place a tent the 8 days timer starts counting but if you keep that tent alive for more than 15 days then the timer would change to 15 days and if the tent survives for 1 month then that tent would survive 1 month (max. time) without refreshing it; once you pack the tent and deploy it again the counter would reset to 8 days. Most of the tents would disappear the first 8 days but it would be bad to keep a tent for months and see the tent got deleted because you didn't log in for one week. Also an option for checking the timers would be nice to have.

    Suggestions for tents and storage

What's the point of avoiding players storing their stuff? should we be able to store just a few weapons and ammo? because right now is the way it is, I don't get it. Performance is not an issue because the items are inside a container (tent), having to dump most of your stuff is silly in my opinion. It is worse for performance having lots of tents for storing things that would fit in one tent. Car tents are absurdly big for a camp without walls and doesn't allow to store that much, even the blue tent is too big if you are planning on hiding it. What's the point of trying to hide your tent if you need 10 tents for storing your stuff? In real life If you don't have space in your tent you would put wheels and other big stuff outside the tent under a plastic, a hole, a pallet or whatever. In a tent like the blue one you could easy store 5 to 10 backpacks anyway. I think is better being harder to obtain loot than each time you need something start searching again because you dumped it before, one player can be well equipped or obtain any object he wants in less than an hour; the game it's supposed to be a survival game not spawn, loot, kill, die repeat game... I really would like to spend days looking for hard to find stuff and being able to store it after I find it, even on the coast it's easy to gear up and find any tool you need in a single play session.
  19. The thing that is more annoying in Dayz melee system in my opinion is not being able to swing your weapon while sprinting, you need to stop sprinting, swing and sprint again; this way you need to be running literally in front of the player you are following in order to have a chance of hitting them, it's almost impossible to hit anyone who is running from you. Maybe a momentary speed lose when you swing your weapon while sprinting and not dealing full damage , like half of the total damage would be nice.

    Can I build a base ?

I think tents disappear after 8 days, maybe barrels too.
  21. Hi, I would like to see the new fog removed from the coast on a sunny days and keep it on clouded or raining days. The coast looked beautiful before, now looks quite depressing all the time, please make that fog not present all the time. I know the developers want us to go inland badly and maybe the fog is one of the reasons for keeping the players moving inland but there are lots of players that like the coast and this is a bad change in my opinion. I personally will go inland when there are more than 80-100 players, if not is really boring going inland imo, you can be running for hours without seeing anybody. Thank you!

Remove fog from the coast on sunny days

I'm sure more players will move north as soon as there are better basebuilding, bikes, bicycles, new zones like the infected zone and so on but most of all when there are more players per server, there is no need for rush. If newbies don't like to be sniped they always can move inland :P Sniping is far as bad as it was in the mod because there are no 50 cal and such. There are no huge cities in the middle of the map like cherno, for example merging Novy and Stary Sobor and making a big city around there would attract many players I think.
  23. Wili

Remove fog from the coast on sunny days

The point I was trying to make is there is not any need to be foggy all the time, there are plenty of people who likes to stay on the coast for a reason, main reason being I think, there is more players in the coast. Some likes to snipe from the hills, I personally enjoy killing those guys but now there are no guys on the hills, some just want to wander around meeting people, others after getting geared in the north likes to come to the coast for killing players, some after meeting players on the coast likes to travel north together etc etc... Now you won't find half of the players you used to see on the coast because of the fog... So I don't know why the developers have to ruin all those playstiles and force us to play the way they think is better. I went inland today for 2/3 hours and I didn't see any player or sign of player activity, I don't like going to the north airfield or the other military bases because that's long combat, I like close combat and cities are the best for that, and the more crowded cities are on the coast. Fog is fine some times but fog all the time I think is not.

    ArmA 3 Stances in DayZ

Weapon resting for Arma III is very good, I hope they will introduce weapon resting in Dayz as well as Arma III stances.
