It's a zeroable sniper rifle (i.e., easy mode). If you're not having someone do overwatch while medic-ing, then you're probably doing it wrong.

It's not really useful for a number of other reasons. Just because someone has a hero skin doesn't mean they won't do something stupid to get you killed - and that's even assuming that they mean you no harm.

Piss off. There is nothing about knowing the owner that gives you special access to "the good lootz" in any sort of underhanded manner. Playing on the server constantly does that, and who plays on it more than the owner?

All this would do is hurt legit players. They will never fix the hacking in the mod version of DayZ. They might fix the duping.

This is incorrect. You can gain all sorts of benefits. People keep asking why it took so long to make a game like this. The answer - because of people whining about things like bandits.

Of course its broken. An automated system can't detect context; there's no way you'll be able to keep a hero skin without dying like an idiot all the time. There really isn't any point in even trying. And there is no "different approach". There is no magical referee to determine who the "good guys" are.

Seriously? I agree that hardly anyone needs the use of 5 cars and a heli. But everyone can use everyone else not being able to use 5 cars and a heli. Why the hell should should people let vehicles sit around for others to use against them? At the very minimum, you drive them someplace useless where they're difficult to recover (this does not have to mean driving them off the map) As for hoarding gear in tents, true, you're not really denying that gear over the long term to others. However you're providing for resupply of yourself and your friends without having to "get it in Cherno in 10 to 30 minutes". Running around in Cherno for half an hour is just plain idiotic if you can make simple preparations to skip it. It is just plain irrational to expect others to leave vehicles sitting around for you to use. It's also irrational to expect them to voluntarily run around in the city on a regular basis. I seriously hope I'm not stuck some place with you in an emergency some day. You're clearly "that guy", you know, the one that everyone would probably be better off shooting immediately. Luckily for us, we have this option in-game.

Hackers drive people off. I'd say that without bad guys there would be no good guys, but that's not quite true here... a million ways to mess with people without being able to shoot at them. DayZ without bandits isn't DayZ.

If you can only carry around one long arm an M4SD is incredibly useful. Most combat vs. players can be avoided, and if it can't be avoided then it hits as hard as a 74 variant and doesn't light up the night like a strobe light under NVG's. The only time anyone no-crap got the drop on me was because I was firing a Bizon at night and they saw it. The M4SD is way more accurate than people give it credit for, and the effective range is almost 3x what you commonly see tossed about. There are some simple (but obvious, in hindsight) tricks to shooting long(er) range with it. Shots out to 375m are a piece of cake if the target isn't moving. The downsides to the rifle are awful penetration of hard surfaces. You aren't going to shoot through a damn thing with it. A lot of players don't realize how many things you can shoot through with normal rifles.

This makes no sense whatsoever. Either you honestly don't understand why people are doing it, or you're hating on them simply because they're doing better than you. There is no limit to the number of "Vehicles That I've Ensured You Can't Use" that I can use. People aren't being dicks simply for not cooperating with you. There is no requirement or expectation for others to do things to make life easier for you. Destroying or denying resources that we can't use ourselves hurts everyone who isn't us, and therefore leaves us better off in comparison.

What's the point of trying to determine at which magical point you're logged in enough for him to shoot you? Are you actually still loading, or are you calling out his position on Ventrilo or otherwise preparing some form of doom for him? This is assuming he even knew you'd just hopped in. That's idiotic. So people hopping around servers to escape attempts to kill them with hacking, or because their connections crap out, should not be allowed to play for a couple days? There are all sorts of legitimate reasons to hop around servers. If Admins want to go after people that they observe abusing it, fine, but any sort of automated nonsense simply won't work.

If he was a bandit, why would you do something so silly as try to type friendly at him? Nobody cares if you're "friendly". Nobody is going to go check out the camp anyways, this is precisely what bored bandits do to lure people into ambushes.
