    Sleep and how it would work.

    I think we are naming it incorrectly- It's not Sleep, its more of a Nap. In a high stress environment where you sleep with one eye open at all times....many people would find it hard to get a full night's sleep. So we are looking at catnaps- in real life this would be 2hr -3hr naps. In the game you can lay down and rest (nap) for up to 5 minutes (number is just there as estimate)- some players will do 20 seconds , others might do 2 minutes. You will find some players simply taking naps while they try to figure out where to go when talking on team speak or a player just thinking where to hit for loot or safety. The idea of the return of blood is based on the idea that Blood would return over time since you are bandage, but factors like sickness and others might complicate things. So the nap would have some beneficial effect verse saying oh main have to lay down but what do i get from this? This should be about Naps not sleep.

    When i hit F12, i get the side menu on the left where the placer has option to call for back up, and other arma2 commands? I'm confused? Edit: never mind i didn't have them in the correct folder DOH! lol I'm good now

    Sleep and how it would work.

    I see sleep as something that you need to do after X number of ingame hours But... I also see it as ways to help fight a cold by getting some rest and also it should help increase your blood number. To keep people from taking naps to increasing your blood number over and over- there is a set value that can only be gained every 6 hours or what ever number of hours would fit the mechanic. The longer you sleep- up to 5 minutes if you want- the more blood you get back since it will give a X value per sec/or min. Also the more of the 5 minutes you are sleeping/rest- the better your body fights off a cold- might remove a few of the effects on the players for a few mins or make the effects on the player happen in longer intervals verse couching and shaking all the time. Conclusion- this gives a benefit to sleeping but also still enforce that players should take naps-sleep of they will be forced to by passing out from exhaustion.

    Light Armored Tank

    Tanks should only be sources of scrap metal for base building and other crafting. Tanks should not be usable/drive able, This is a survival game not military combat game. As for your quote- YES, they are over powering. If tanks are there they could destroy building, towns. Tanks would make DayZ SA encourage combat which we see in BFs and CoDs. Again DayZ is about survival.

  8. Could be centered around player deaths by non Infected. These fresh dead bodies could lure Zeds from off the map to the map.

    Stupid decisions

    I love the concept of allowing players to do some not so bright things. Also i wonder if you can take an extra side arm with a few rounds in it and tamper with it so if fired it would injure the person firing it. So if I'm killed or don't trust the other player- i will trade this gun for an item. The player thinks of using it on me and it ends up exploding or etc which injures the other player.

    Little things to do in the SA

    Yeah,...Card games are going to get you a quick bullet in the head. While you play cards there is another player passing by and sees you are playing cards and shoots you since they saw what kind of loot or if your playing cards near a tent.

    Non-lethal weapons.

    If a restraint is used- there needs to be a way for the player to get out of it (alone). So if player robs another and leaves them with a restraint on their hands- then either by brute strength over time or using rock or environment to break free or you will have players QQing about being handcuffed alone for 10 hours = not fun. Place something to solve this then I'm 100 percent behind the idea :)

    Third person vs First person view

    I like option of 3rd person as a person running around but with cars, its way to easy to see things in distance with a 3rd person for cars. option when playing the person but in a car/chopper- maybe only allow 1st person? What does everyone think??

    Was thinking broken cars that can be fixed. You could have ruins of a hospital- maybe you were left there when the military Evact- or were killed. These locations if placed into the game in some manner- the spawning still needs to be random- you can't choose to spawn at the car or other location

    The problem with a hospital or car is- these are places players will be moving towards and so they will either end up spawn killing players or they will pick these locations as a short cut to loot. Solutions: Any location must be away from the main content in the map- and also if the place you spawn is car or building, they must be damaged or have no loot or be fixable- edges of the map

    What if you became infected?

    Ok, i will use your logic. There were 10,000 people who lived in Chernarus before the out break. After all said and done the server of 60- 150 (150 comes from a possible number for the DayZ SA) players- survivors. So lets just round up to 200 people of the 10,000 survived. The rest are dead or Infected. Your player is one of the 200 or so people who are immune. You have to remember there was a large population on the map- that is your set Original Value before determining the possible number that's immune. The immune Value = the players you play as. As for lore- They have a written detail Infected/back story- to ground the virus's rules. If Rocket was going to change this issue of immunity or leave himself room to- he would not have gone on the record a few times stating the players are immune.
  20. Actually players already grind with shooting each other and then blood bagging or bandage each other to get closer to a Hero Skin. The only way to keep grinding from happen is that levels are majorly factored by how long your character is alive- in game time. If you can only move up these passive skills in tiers of how long you are alive- Ex. 1st week, then 3rd week, then 6th week,..etc This large amount a time will make any grinding pointless since you need to be alive for a long time before you can even increase that passive skill. There should be passive skills that might affect your thirst or eating needs if you live to 3rd week. This gives a progression but you have to stay alive. Once your character is dead then everything is set back to 0. Also these Passive skills should never be told to the player- they simply notice it if they are watching for it. Of course even if you live 3 weeks and your hunger needs have decreased - but you get sick or some other factor could spike this hunger back up do to your disease you have,.etc.

    Ammunition types

    The danger of what your asking is- Your are forgetting this is a survival game not a military combat game. Feature like this will only promote DayZ into a CoD deathmatch game. These are not needed in my view since they go against the theme of the game-survival. And before someone says- oh but there would be ammo like this due to military being there at the outbreak- That is just you saying...I want this ammo and here is a poor way to justify it. The ammo in the poll goes counter of Dayz core which is survival- If these are put in you will only see more combat for combat sake not because your trying to survive.

I agree that if your lone wolf- fixing a car or chopper is going to be hard and at time almost impossible (depending how much work needs to be done to fix it) But also a lone wolf alone does not make it so there is no way to get this done- meaning you must have another person or two. On the topic of playstyles- All playstyles should have benefits and a downside- this creates tension/risk in all playstyles and sets the tone that there is no certain playstyle to so call Win tactic- all have risk
  23. The image could be showing the change in clothing as it's durability lowers. So you might have a beat up jacket but good jeans and shirt.

    I like the idea, but it will only work if there is a section of forest which is a distance from the main sections of the map so players can't glide into the middle of the map- plus keep players from shooting you as you fall. You know there will be players who will see players gliding down and will shoot at them for the fun of it- it would be bad to get killed before you even get a chance to land on the ground?! lol

    If you keep saying the world is flat, I'm going to say it isn't- you can still talk as if it's flat. As for it changing, Rocket is basing it on his brother's info on virus studies- so Its not going to change. Please continue talking about the world being flat
