You need arma 2: combined operations to play dayz.

Dayz runs fine for me on the bulldozer cpu, so i don't think it's that.

That build looks good, you might want to swap that 2tb for 2 1tb hard drives if you plan on recording in the future though.

Well if you're looking to play dayz and arma 2 you'll need a strong CPU, so either top of AMD's piledriver range (http://www.overclock...id=1967&subcat=) or a decent i7/i5 (http://www.overclock...rodid=CP-418-IN) then since you've got quite a decent budget i'd go for a gtx 660 or an amd 7850 (http://www.overclock...rodid=GX-109-GI) (http://www.overclock...rodid=GX-306-SP). Then you can get some pretty cheap ram (http://www.overclock...catid=8&subcat=) X2 since 8gb is all you really need. one or 2 of these drives (http://www.overclock...rodid=HD-364-WD) . decent psu (http://www.overclock...tid=123&subcat=) and a motherboard that will socket the processor you go for. Am i missing something here..

Everyone here should try dayz 2017, you can download it at opendayz and it makes the game so much more hardcore, where stuff takes a while to get.

This shouldn't be something that is in the game, makes the game dumbed down like warz. But If building is implemented i'm sure we'll see some people making safe zones or trading posts etc. it's much better when something is run and made by players themselves.
