I personally wouldn't suggest just using the keyboard for flying, it might be okay in Dayz though. I would use the mouse for small, precise inputs whilst using the keys for heavier, rougher maneuvers. -

Totally agree with this idea, it's immersive seeing spent syringes and bandage packets as well as blood on the floor after huge firefights in ACE, almost makes it chaotic. -

I don't play dayz much anymore because of the lack of hardcore first person servers, third person just puts me off playing the game. -

I can't stand third person after playing some hardcore servers and ACE mod for a while, checking round corners etc with third person just seems so cheap. I edited my FOV in the config and that makes 1st person perfectly viable, since the normal FOV is a little on the low side. -
