Ignite (DayZ)

Sorry for reviving an older thread, but I didn't want to create a new one. So, after an incident with a barracks door (did no damage, but gave me a shock when I opened it) unrelated to that incident, I decided to quickly log out and reconnect to the server to fix the lag (Don't know why, but sometimes it becomes so laggy it wont even drink or eat). When I got back in, my character collapsed and an hourglass appeared. After waiting for a good while, I realized it does not count down at all. Is there any way to solve this problem? I don't mind if I have to respawn or something, I just can't do anything.

I've lost a motorbike and an ATV. An old hatchback has worked correctly, though. So I guess yeah, vehicles still broken but tents working? EDIT: Logged in today after a server restart, the mentioned old hatchback has disappeared (it was empty of fuel) and my tent is gone. They still bugged? EDIT2: After a second server restart, my hatchback and old bike returned. I have no idea what's going on. PS. EVERY time the server restarts, my vehicles get emptied of fuel.

I have a (somewhat) similar problem. I remember being at 42k humanity at one point and I got the hero skin (At that time I had no idea it was the hero skin). I've had it ever since, even though I've died many times and my debug monitor says I have -3k humanity currently. I can't get rid of it :(

I had this happen just now, was running away from a helicopter crash site with 2 zeds chasing me, was looking over my shoulder and it just kicked me. Norwegian server.

He's still on the server as of 16:30 (GMT +2) So, I was bored and decided to play some DayZ solo as I couldn't be arsed to wait for my friend(s) to come online. I went to the mentioned server I've been playing on for some days and decided to go loot the airstrip as there was only one another player online at the time. I used a tractor to reach the airstrip swiftly, looking around for heli crash sites and whatnot during the travel. Once I arrived to the lower barracks, I heard a helicopter. I checked the playerlist, and the only other player online at the time was called Satans slyna. I had already hidden the tractor and I instantly went prone. The chopper hovered right above me for a time before taking off. At this time, I thought I was just immensely unlucky to run into the only other online player and thought he was probably looting or scouting for crash sites. Once I check the barracks, I decided to leave the airstrip, didn't want to linger after seeing a heli. I ran to my tractor, managed to drive it forward a few meters until it blew up and it threw me out, bleeding with 800 blood left and unconscious. Needless to say, I died. I had the coyote backpack, a DMR and a FN FAL with plenty of ammo for both, so I decided to run there to see if my corpse was still present. I spawned in cherno and started to run into the general direction of the airstrip after scavenging some food and drink for the trip. Barely after I managed to take off, the chopper flew over to me. This time, there was someone aboard in the gunner slot. The gunner shot me, leaving me with 3000 blood, bleeding and broken bones. They came out of the chopper and told me they'll fix me up (the gunner bandaged me). I didn't really believe them, but I got in anyway, thinking I had nothing to lose. While flying, they just said "you know we're going to kill you right?" So I just decided to eject and kill myself and leave the server. I went back few hours later, only to notice people were dying pretty rapidly. The player "Satans slyna" was still there, and he had zero deaths and -6 on his vehicle score-thing. I only managed to screenie the scoreboard and I had to do it in windowed mode(that's why it looks derpy), when I took screenshots from fullscreen they were completely black. I figure the screenshot from the scoreboard might not be enough, but if you manage to get a hold of the server log I'm sure you can confirm his guilt. I believe the gunner was the player named "Anders Behring Breivik" because he was one of the few online during the gunner incident and also has a peculiar score. Apologies for the wall of text.

I'm guessing he has a personal twitter now?

There is only one thing that helps me, and even though you mentioned "loading in glitchy areas" I'm not sure if you ment this. Completely exit and restart Arma 2/Dayz and try to rejoin a server. Disconnecting and reconnecting does NOT solve it for me, only a complete restart. This removes the problem for me and my 3 friends for at least 30 minutes. Let me know if you've tried it/it helps at all. EDIT: Also, if you're using a NVIDIA graphics card you could try using the fix. Helped a friend of mine.

Happened to me today. Was inside the supermarket with 11k+ blood and there was barely any (4) other players on the server. I was crouching behind the shelves, looting a zombie when I just drop dead. I just thought "Meh, another hacker attack", but I was the only one who died. There was no gunshot whatsoever, no shock/broken bones debuff. Using the template to clarify. Date/Time: 27.8.2012 What happened: I just dropped dead from near full blood, no gunshot, no debuffs. I wasn't even moving. Where you were: Zelenogorsk supermarket What you were doing: Looting a zombie behind a shelf. In cover from the windows. *Current installed version: 1.7.2.5 *Server(s) you were on: Norway 41 *Your system specs: N/A *Timeline of events before/after error: Look up. EDIT: After respawning and running to retrieve my items, nothing was missing. Using the "Study Body" feature it says I died from an unknown cause.

If you don't want to edit .pbo files and flush doesn't work for you, restart Arma. It will (should, always does for me and my friends, please correct me if I am wrong) temporarily fix the problem for 30 minutes or so, which should be more than enough to scavenge an airstrip or a single zone. Do keep in mind that disconnecting doesn't work, you have to restart the whole game.

Have you edited any of the .pbo files, perhaps to resolve the graphical glitch issues?

Are you using the _runa2CO.cmd or the _runa2CO_beta.cmd ? I used the _runa2CO.cmd to launch DayZ before and had the similar problem. When I switched to use the beta, the problem was gone. EDIT: Also, I sometimes get servers that are marked as X and have no text whatsoever. Restarting steam and DayZ seems to resolve the problem.

I'll keep this short due still being online in Dayz. My friend disconnected and rebooted DayZ to fix the graphical artifacts he was having trouble with, and he did so within an old hatchback. When he tried to rejoin, he was kicked by the mentioned script restriction.

Oh, a shame. I guess the server DID restart, though I'm not sure. We just now found a broken hatchback and an offroad truck, which reinforces my thoughts. We'll fix up a different vehicle, then. We'll miss you, Eddy.

Right. I want to begin this post by apologizing in advance if I am posting in the wrong forum area or whatever reason I shouldn't be posting a new topic for. I'm a newbie both in DayZ and the forums, so bear with me, please! Though, I'll begin. Yesterday, at around 7pm UTC, me and my friend who always play duo with voice chat found a bus in elektro, driven (apparently) into the church door. I checked a dayz map online, and it seemed that it was indeed a bus spawn spot. Being the first vehicle we've ever seen so close, you can imagine our thrill. We gathered the items required to repair the bus (Engine was red, also lacked 2 wheels. Fuel tank was leaking, too.) and brought a jerry can to it. As you can imagine, a large vehicle in the middle of Elektro, we had to protect it. We had both bandits and other mingebags (or newbies) run into it and try to drive it away. Once we did get it fixed, we immediately drove it away to a fuel tank, filled it up and continued. We used the bus to salvage several towns before we decided to call it a night and drive the bus to a spot we deemed safe. We took the bus away from all towns, behind a small hill in a forest. There was absolutely nothing of value near that area, and it wasn't on the edge of the map. We saved the bus (multiple times) in the spot we left it in and threw some stuff into the storage. The next day, we log in, and the bus is gone. There was barely any players (2-5) online both at the time we logged out and in. Hence, I was wondering. Where is it? Did we really get such a terrible luck that someone found it, or is it a glitch or a bug? We even named the thing. :(
