You're giving up too easily. I've killed maybe 8 times total since I started playing this in May. Never have I shot someone unarmed or unprovoked. People shoot you or they don't. That's how it is, and the real meat of the game is that moment where you don't know how they will react. Shoot on sight eliminates this completely, so you end up missing out on that experience. The thing about ubiquitous, high-powered weapons (Enfield) is that they level the playing field at the cost of skill. If I can hit a guy with an Enfield while he is trying to hit me with an anti-materiel rifle, that is not unrealistic or inauthentic. It levels the playing field. Like the ubiquitous Colt, it is the great equalizer. It allows anyone to enter that game, not just those who have happened upon the higher-tier weapons. That's the point of guns in general. Nerfing the Enfield (or any other common weapon) so that 50 cal is king makes the common man less of a threat to those who have the high-tier gear, and in my opinion this is a bad thing. I want them to feel as scared as I do. I want them to fear the noob. Making the pistols worse at killing zeds is one thing - it is almost impossible to headshot the zeds while they are running. I dislike this in general unless the pathing/animations are smoothed out to a point where they don't zig every time my sight is on them, then zag when I reacquire. Your servant, Weld

I'm sorry, I was not trolling but I may be stupid. I do realize I may have been a little terse. Sometimes things don't die when you shoot them. Sometimes they live long enough to break your bones. There isn't anything you can do about that. Things happen that are outside of your control. What you can do is be aware that your bones can break, and keep morphine on your person. It isn't hard to find if you know where to look (hospitals). If you want to complain about bugs this isn't the place for it. Your servant, Weld

When a zed can one-hit knock me out at full health while I'm hopping a fence to get away, he's a threat. I don't know about y'all but I have a lot of fun shooting zombies. I'm just saying, there's already an option for better (less) visibility. Within the framework DayZ provides, you can make that choice. It would be great to have camo backpacks but you're not really making any trade-off there. A drab green alice pack is realistic and authentic to the DayZ dogma of forcing you to make tough choices.

I recommend the crowbar be reverted to the earlier hatchet damage which sent zombies flying all over the place.

I dislike this idea as well. I don't shoot folks in game unless they start it, but I also don't want any more rules than are already in place. If you're unwilling to abide by the hosting rules, don't host. If you want to start your own thing like DayZ you can do that. But this is Rocket's playground and he doesn't have to share his toys.

The main inventory has magazine and grenade icons for a reason. It represents the LBV everyone is wearing, which is designed to carry magazines and grenades. It isn't counter-intuitive for the magazines to go there. The system we have now is pretty intuitive for someone familiar with the gear levels. Rifle and mags go on vest, pistol and mags go on belt. Junk you don't need right now goes in the pack. A seperate medical pouch might make some sense, though I suppose that is represented by the bandages going on the belt as well. I'd like to see morphine optionally put on the belt.

I'd love to see stack-able Bolts for the Crossbow.

You can already retrieve used bolts in most cases. Also this has been suggested at least a ridiculous number of times. Headshots are easy if you practice. This is the only weapon in the game whose aiming isn't just given to you, you must actually practice with it to use it well. -

While I agree that vehicles are rare and fragile enough to not really need any more balancing, this would be a really neat addition. I'd certainly keep spare tires in the vehicle though.

You can open doors from prone. The enterable buildings are all basically the same across the map. This sheet shows what the different buildings look like, and any without loot spots are likely to be unenterable. http://picacid.com/arma2/loot_en.html

I was moving too fast to realize there was a bridge, hit it, and flipped. I unflipped it three times to a point where I could exit the bridge. The last one kicked me 30ft into the air, end over end, screaming like a little girl. Very awkward. Also seems to happen after crossing railroad tracks (not on them).

I'm sorry to be stubborn about this. I'm not personally angry about being kicked. It happens. However, I don't appreciate ad hominem attacks in either direction. I call them as I see them. Given the evidence, how could we come to any other conclusion? If you were in fact trying to protect your player base your timing couldn't have been more suspect. Given the nature of things our group has seen in the past it did not seem off base to assume the nature of the kicks/lock, this just happened to be the only time we've had any evidence to post. Really? I'm pretty sure this isn't correct but I'd love to see your source on this. I'll believe they are too busy to deal with individual issues, which is fine, but it seems pretty absurd to say that a clan-locked server - for whatever reason - is within the scope of this game or test. I haven't asked anything of the devs with this post and didn't expect anything to come of it other than as a public announcement of the incident and possibly this discussion. Regardless, the gracious way you've handled this event has led me to believe I'd be better off playing elsewhere. Your servant, Weld
