Again, maybe something went on that you didn't know about. Contact the admins and try and sort it out before shouting admin abuse. Maybe they thought you were him, maybe that had spotted you, there's alot of maybes here. -

So there was combat going on, and you disconnected. Now you could be lying, or you could be right that you hadn't been seen, but them banning for someone disconnecting while they're in combat with some dudes... Its not abuse, its legit banning. Try to find their forums and see if you can't get in contact with them, or hit up Legacy or one of the other moderators in here, they may be able to get you in contact with the host / admins so you can sort this out. -

Well as it is battleEye should be picking up the scripters when they try and load their scripts, but someone may have found a way to spoof the realtime protection. But a good server admin / Hoster will have a tool to parse his logs and do that once every day or maybe every 2 days, find the script loadings and ban their asses.

So you disconnected to avoid combat, when you had already been spotted (most likely) That seems like a legit reason to ban you from that server... -

True, the Mk 48 Mod 0 is in the game. But the OP is right however, it seems pretty fishy to have a very high end weapon, nvgs, and 2 bandages. One would think that they would have tools of some sort, matches, hatchet, even a map if they have weapons like that. and where's the food? the water? Now before you say that someone might've gone by and taken it, why didn't they take the Mk 48? there's 4 boxes of ammo right there, enough ammo to last you a lifetime in DayZ... Something is fishy about it, but it could also be legit. If i were a server admin, i'd check the logs for those names. -
First off, not legit. Second, not undetected. It's a script he's running, and if serverhosters keep their scriptprotection up to date it should be detected, otherwise it'll also show up in the log and earn them a juicy ban full of sweet sweet tears :).

Just disable the respawn button, that should also help with all those "Y I NO SPAWN NER CHERNO" respawn spammers...

Try to lead your targets a bit more, you need to compensate for bullet travel time, most of the time you shoot you shoot straight at the target, and hit behind them..

It's funny how people who suggest these things always die by some dude running through a street and firing his assault rifle... Now if you were to move outside of cherno / Electro, that wouldn't happen... I've been killed ONCE by another player, I learned from that, I took my time to scout out towns and villages before i entered, i started hunting instead of going to the supermarket to get food, i started looting deerstands instead of going to the airfields. If however i want to go loot a town, I get my mates with me. Now what I seem to read out of all these threads is that you constantly get killed by other survivors, in cherno, in electro..It's like you WANT to be killed, but you want to justify your death by being able to say that "oh it was a bandit/PKer/CoDNoob" instead of having to wonder if it could've ended in another way.

There are no bandits, only survivors with different means of surviving, get used to it.

Nah give em a warning, we dont need some hetz against admins and server hosters, if we as players start doing that we're going to be seeing people getting banned for saying fuck or shit because the admin feels its malicious talk.. -

While you can't zero the crosshair to a specific range' date=' you can absolutely use the mil-dots to compensate for different known ranges. I have a notebook sitting next to my keyboard that details how many mil-dots high a person will be at differing ranges, and how many dots of compensation are required at differing ranges. If you want to be successful with the DMR at any meaningful range, you'll want to do the same. BTW the DMR is zero'd to 400m (zoomed). It would take some serious mcgyver to do a stunt like that...I mean.. ok take the detonator out of a grenade is easy, rigging it to a bolt is easy, getting it to explode in the face of whatever you're shooting at...triiicky! I dont believe there are offensive contact grenades in arma 2, only timed ones..and they usually have a timer of around 3.4 seconds to 3.8 seconds. But on second thought, maybe that should be the downfall of doing this, you basically loose your grenade by doing this, but you get to make a pretty nasty hole in whoever you shoot with it, you wont do AoE dmg, but it should drop a guy dead if he has a detonator from a grenade lodged inside him when it goes off. And if you miss..well detonator blows up anyways. Forget what I said about the grenade :). Smoke grenade however, not doable, it needs the entire grenade to be effective as its full of sugar and sulphur if i recall correctly from my chemistry classes :P -
Read my post, it clearly says, firing a normal round would yield better range etc... Now if you knew anything about silencers, weapons and how they work (and didn't just read a wiki made by someone's who's been playing counterstrike all his life) you'd know that when you fire the round (a normal round) the gasses are behind the projectile and only behind it, propelling it forward through the barrel, as it leaves the muzzle the gas escapes, making a bang. Ok now put a silencer on that weapon, you now have a longer barrel, gasses are still behind the projectile, projectile reaches normal speed as it enters the silencer, some of the gas is trapped in the silencer, but not all of it, the projectile is still pushed forward gaining more speed. now following that train of thought, how does that decrease the range? how does it not affect accuracy (in a positive way) that you have a longer barrel? yes if the projectile hits one of the rings in the silencer it will loose speed, loose accuracy, and most likely destroy the silencer, but silencers are built so that shouldn't happen... Ok, now on to your post (I was just stating a fact to the guy that talked about silencers) Yes, ammo and magazines should be seperate, I'd also like to be able to find boxes of tracer rounds so that i could load my magazines with 2 tracers, 13 rounds, 1 tracer, 11 rounds, 3 tracers (example of my M4 mag load in afghanistan). It would also enable people to mix std. rounds and SD rounds if they were short, instead of having to have 2 seperate mags with x amount of rounds in one and y amount of rounds in the second. However, i don't think this is going to happen with the arma 2 engine. But i hope it'll be a feature in the Arma 3 engine :).

Easy fix: disable/remove the respawn button forever and enjoy them tears.
