you have a choice between hackers on public hives, or abusive admins on private.

some high pop servers have scripts where the vehicles positions randomize on restarts, so if a hacker decides to do a vehicle magnet on the map and suck all the vehicles to a certain position, they don't just stay there forever

Greetings Fellow DayZ Fans Our intrepid leader, Brick, was on Teamspeak talking about how he managed to kill a player at 30 meters with a crossbow while said player was running. He was proud of himself, remarking how it wasn't the first time he'd managed such a feat. He remarked rather casually that his crossbow skills were probably the best in history on DayZ (literally an exact quote) and that he might change his name to Robin Hood. THE GREAT CROSSBOW HUNT RULES 1.) No hacking (ESP, Teleporting etc.) 2.) You have to KILL Brick with a crossbow & only a crossbow. (May change depending on how crappy the players of DayZ are at using one. Brick is assuming he'll hafta lighten this up due to player suck-age and allow knocking him out with other guns.) 3.) basically, the more you kill people the better you'll get at it. Don't just run in like a halo 4 player and expect to shoot everyone up, look for the flaws that people make. Watch them, wait for them to stop moving or to let their guard down. That's the best time to hold them up or shoot them up.

bumping this thread because our server is currently having this issue and i'd like to see some possible causes

it looks like some servers are on this "new" hive, while some are still on the "old" one. I've confirmed this by logging in and out of a variety of different public hive servers, sometimes logging into the woods with a dmr, and other times logging in with a lee enfield on the docks
