    How is Rocket meant to keep track of NDA by letting random people test it before open alpha?

    Why the fuck would they trust random fanatical fans to test the Alpha and not break the NDA. They wouldn't. We are the worst people to test because we'd blag our mouths about everything in it.

    47 players in game or with the game loaded up apparently - Sounds like some more load testing, hopefully for zombie impact on server FPS.

    Personally I don't think it's a sign for imminent release but possibly a close one. If they had a player named 'media capture' or whatever it was, then they are clearly either making a video for the Steam Store page or a dev blog. However with these new images rising up, apparently looking like they may be images for the Steam Store page, it leads me to believe that the media capture was hopefully a video for the Steam Page.

    I haven't moaned about any direction for DayZ at the end of the day it's their game. However this quote from a user on reddit summed my opinion up perfectly.

    That is the most generous offer someone over the internet has ever given me :) thankyou but I don't like taking money off people! Plus I will utilise my sad face to my girlfriend or parents when the SA drops, they may cave if they have the money haha. Sucks I had to give up my £10 an hour job to come to university!

    I'm a student at uni, I currently have £20 to live off for the next two weeks. I also have Christmas presents to buy for my girlfriend and family. Yes at this moment hahaha

    Pray that my decision to save my steam voucher was a good decision, this looks like an approach to major pre-release testing! http://www.game-monitor.com/dayz_GameServer/37.220.18.218:27016/DayZ_SVN_Testing_Rev._113157-.html according to this there's only actually 15 players in game, 47 is just the amount who have the game loaded up I believe Apparently an Alpha tester on reddit said that the above game monitor isn't updating player numbers properly, ignore.

    I've got £10 in my steam wallet, that I was saving for DayZ but now I'm not sure whether I'll be a fool for not spending it during this sale and DayZ not releasing. Or I'll be an idiot for spending it and then dayZ releases next week or this week!

    No the devs will not release the game a week before they go away for 2-3 weeks for Christmas. So if it doesn't release this week or next then I don't think it'll be this year. The only curious thing is that Rocket has gone silent again. This either means that he's deep in work or that he knows it won't release and is keeping quiet. Like I previously said though, as long as it is is stable then I don't mind waiting!

    Exactly! I'm more than happy for them to take their time to make it a better alpha. However never again will I even hope for anything without solid confirmation, which is what I should have done. Plus take everything Rocket with a pinch of salt. Although it isn't their fault as everyone in every business runs in to unforseen problems.
