He also put on reddit at the weekend that they had a bug that was crashing the game after 2 minutes in, that they fixed. That spells to me a very unfinished pre-Alpha. I'm not expecting it to come till late august -
Base building - Why is it so important to everyone?

I think Dean Hall said that Over ground base building was unlikely because of performance issues. -
I was just thinking about this now. What if around the map some of the buildings were locked? For example when the zombie virus hit I'm sure people would have been away from their house and locked the door. I would also be keen to see the ability to lock and/or barricade doors with pieces of wood/debris. Now for example the catch would be that you'd have to make a lot of noise trying to get in and it would possibly attract zombies and players. What do you think?

I'd much rather be able to go to pre existing buildings and boarder up the windows/holes, lay barbed wire around the perimiter and reinforcethe door. However I'm not one to settle down. -

1. No more buggy zombies and let them move in a straight-ish line 2. All buildings enterable (seems to be the case for most buildings in the SA 3. Personally I would like to see more backpacks on the server and in places like houses. -

Currently I'm getting about 15FPS (cities) and 25FPS (wilderness on my current rig of Q8400 2.66ghz CPU, 4GB DDR2 RAM and 9800GT 512mb, I'm upgrading to; I-5 4670K - 3.4GHZ - Quad Core 8GB Kingston 1600mhz RAM 2GB GTX770 GPU 1TB WD CAVIAR BLACK WD1002FAEX, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64MB CACHE (7200rpm) 1920x1080 resolution What Should I expect from this new rig FPS wise? Rough estimates would be fine :) 21:24pm edit* changing GTX760 to the GTX770*

This a genuine question. On Youtube I see a lot of players hiding bodies after they've looted them saying "other players could use that stuff against me". Now I can completely see where they're coming from and on a 40 player server with said body in cherno, then I could understand. However in a field in the middle of nowhere, I like to leave bodies with loot in that I don't need, because I remember how happy I am everytime I stumble across a body in the middle of nowhere! Am I just soft hearted?

I haven't been infected yet. I don't think I've ever used anti biotics so I can't comment. However from what people say, antibiotics are as important as bandages to carry around :P

SA: Scarcity of fuel and ammunition or cars and weapons?

It may be an odd title but I'm curious how people are thinking over this for the Standalone. For example, would you rather that There be a limit on the resources needed to work a car or weapon or a scarcity of the actual car or weapon. I think I'd prefer there to be the same amount of weapons but less ammunition and actually make people have to expend food and water looking for ammunition. That way ammo becomes too precious to waste in a random PVP for no reason. Secondly I'd like to see a fair amount of vehicles but less fuel. I just think that'd make the game a lot more challenging. -
In the dead of night I crawled across a field and started to loot a chopper while the occupants were in it! However I then thought it'd be funny to jump in and see how long it'd take them to notice! Eventually one shot me while I was in the back hahaha

I doubt that Microsoft would let him do it. They'd want a big slice of whatever he makes on the xbox one version. DayZ won't release on PS4 till it's at least in a finished/final state, so he's got a couple of years to work out a comprimise with microsoft!
