Does the direct communication actually work? I've seen from some players that they can talk but not write or vice versa. It hasn't worked for me this far. I'm able to talk in side channel but people get angry for that and obviously direct comm is alot better for talking to people nearby.

I'm just gonna write all this in swedish: The Last Hope är ett relativt nystartat Arma 2 community. Vi spelar mest DayZ men även lite Armory och Team Deathmatch med/mot varandra. The Last Hope har växt mycket dom senaste veckorna och vi har nu nått ungefär 25 medlemmar! Vi kommer förhoppningsvis att fortsätta växa och det är bara att komma in på våran Mumble server(läs nedan). Glöm inte bort att adda mig på Steam och/eller Skype(även nedan)! Vi har en egen server: Atlanta 29 Det är fritt fram att komma in på både Mumble och DayZ servern. Someone has probably thought of this before but i haven't seen anything about it on the forum so ill just go ahead and write my idea. I think that zombies should be attracted by the smell of food being cooked. As it is right now you can just gut any animal, cook the food and still be alive. As long as you are in the middle of the woods or not near a town with zombies in it, you're safe. Wouldn't it be cool if you and your friends set up camp and start cooking food and all of a sudden a hoard of zombies start walking towards you to investigate what is giving of the scent. This would work good if there's ever going to be player owned towns/territories and would give the players a harder reason to protect their territories. What do you think?

I like the idea about this but i don't think it would fit in the game. One thing that could make it better instead of killing just getting worse and worse effects is that after maybe 5 or so kills, you would start adjusting. Another thing that would be cool is if you aim on someone(when you have 0 murders, a newly respawned survivor) your character slowly starts breathing heavily as if nervous about killing the person aimed at. This could work to a certain limit but i don't think this whole idea would work very good in DayZ.

So first i'll go with the change i feel this game needs: I just think it's really wierd that a pistol takes up, what is it? Five slots or so in a back pack while a wooden log takes up 2... Realistically the pistol should only take up 2-3 slots while the wooden log should take up about 2-3 slots to, ofc, depending on size that is. So i just want to the pistol to take up 2-3 less slots in the backpack. So now for my suggestion: I think that it would be cool that, if say, you have an alice pack and you find a winchester or whatever primary weapon, and you put the weapon in your alice pack, the weapon would kind of hang from the alice pack on the character instead of actually being in the bag because once again, realistically i don't think a full size winchester(or whatever) would fit inside even an alice pack. They're just not that big.

I have to say that i agree with removing this spawnpoint. In fact, imo, all spawnpoints on the east side of Chernarus should be removed. My normal meetup spots(when respawned) with my friends are Chernogorsk and komarovo which makes it a reeally long and painful walk. Even more painful now with the temperature stats.

So alot of people wants to be able to spawn on their friends instead of walking across the map to find them(me to btw), and i think i've come up with a pretty good system. So you choose the player you want to spawn on and the player gets a message: "(Player 1) wants to spawn on you, 'F1' to accept or 'F2' to decline"(buttons are optional). You don't want random people spawning on you... right? ;) And if you choose accept, the player will spawn far enough from you not to spawn inside of you sticking you to him/her and close enough to not spawn in a tree or non-enterable house. Ofcourse people might misclick and choose another player but that's why there could be a "Do you really want to spawn on (Player 2)? 'Yes' or 'No'" Also you should not be able to spawn on a player you have recently died close to and/or there should be a cooldown of say.. 30-60min on the "spawn on player" option so that you wont be killed by a bandit, spawn close by and kill him. (That would be waaaay to OP) The same thing goes for joining another server. So that's my solution to the spawn on friends option. Hope you like it, Rocket!.. And everyone else ofcourse!

Grymt, såg det! Vi får köra någon dag och hoppas på fler spelare! Angående den där "safezone"-grejen så är det bara som en experiment grej men vi kommer behöva många mer spelare för det och det kanske inte går alls. Men jag har faktist hört/sett att det har funnits på några servrar innan. Grejen är den att man måste bara orka. -

I was playing on a Swedish server as i am Swedish myself. I was looting some houses in Chernogorsk(i think) and someone saw me looting and asked if i was friendly. I said yes and we teamed up. We played for a couple of hours and helped 2 other guys out in Cherno at nighttime. He asked me if i had skype and i said yes. (By now we both had found out we were both Swedish) Been playing with him ever since. That was last week. This also happened again 2 days later. -

Bandits don't get punished, Survivors do...

The thing is the bandits may seem OP and sure maybe they are but they didn't get all their stuff thrown at them. All bandits have probably trained before and know what to do when to do it. Sure the CoD people will come into this game and shoot the first player they see and get the weapons but in the end, it's all about personality. For example, i was playing this morning, saw a player in Elektro who asked for help. I gave him 2 mags and some blood, what did i get? 3 bullets in my head. It's all about trust and personality. -

The worst thing that's ever happened to me was today. I heard someone fire a makarov in the Elektro harbor and he wrote in chat "help me, im out of ammo, im friendly" foolish as i was i believed him, gave him 2 makarov mags and a blood transfusion. He said "thx" i said "np, always nice to help friendlies out"... He turns and fires 4 makarov bullets in my face... I watch the deathcam before the deathscreen and see him loot me and disconnect. That's an enfield, map, compass, clock, binoculars, bandage, ammo and bloodpack gone to waste. -
Are they taking away Bandits?

They are not taking away the skin per say, you will be able to find skins around Chernarus and there's obviously always going to be "bandits" on DayZ killing people but there won't be any way to see if someone is a bandit, you're going to have to guess. Remember, it's supposed to be as realistic as possible and if you were to kill someone IRL while there's a zombie apocalypse you're clothes wouldn't magically change to military camo clotes. -
This isn't as much a suggestion as a change but imma get to the point. I've found myself sometimes(after a respawn/death) going through a small village or city looking for ammo, some flares and maybe some weapons when i suddenly make 1 wrong step and get a horde of zombies after me. Obviously i'll shoot back but it doesn't always help as ammo is scarce. So here i am running from a horde of zombies with nothing but flares, water and food in my bag. What do i do? The zombies run atleast 2x as fast as me and if i try to run towards another player in hope that he'll open fire on the zombies, he might aswell shoot me. There's basically nothing at all i can do. My point is that the zombies need to lose "aggro" if you will and they absolutely need to have a lower runspeed... I can't run nearly as fast as the zombies even with an empty bag... Trust me, i've tried it. *****Skip to here if you don't want to read the "description"***** What i want: 1. Zombies lose "aggro" from me alot faster than me running from Kamenka to Elektrogorsk and me finally giving up. 2. Zombies being slowed down ALOT. *****Skip to here if you don't want to read the "description"***** The fact that the zombies run so effing fast is just wierd to me since i see them stumbling around like drunks but then as soon as 1 zombie sees me, 10 zombies come sprinting faster than the speed of light towards me.. And the bugs don't make it any easier. Oh well, i hope this gets fixed, sorry for the long post!
