It probably dissapeard as soon as you droped it on the floor and you didn't notice it. DayZ has that bug yea, happens to almost everyone who does that. One thing that could help you in the future is first put some item on the floor (painkiller, watter bottle etc...) and then drop backpack onto that item.

Well you better start swimming if you want to keep your character :D You can make a macro or download one and load it to your keyborad driver so it emulates W button constantly pressed to swim to the shore while you go out for a beer. :)

You need like... half an hour, maybe 40 minutes from Elektro to NW AF on foot. You can make that trip with one can of food and one watter bottle. Went there twice in a row a week ago when i got shot and killed to try to have my equiment back while my squad kept an eye on it. I would offer you a ride on my motorbike, no charge, but i am at work ATM and i am at NW AF ingame.

This maybe not the place for this, but I think it is DayZ related. So my friend and me have a TS 3 server and the voice quality is just awfull, simply horrendous when playing DayZ While in town or some "heavy" place on the map 70% of the time we can't understand a word we are saying. Voice is distorted, laggy and not-understandable. We tried to create a low quality channel but it didn't help a lot, almost didn't help at all. Only in open fields on the map or forests we can communicate normaly (for most of the time) Towns and airfields are just horrible. Internet connections are not great (mediocre speeds - 4 mbit down, 0,5 mbit up) but we don't have any communication problems in Battlefield 3 or any other game (in fact the communication quality is great in every other game) Can anyone help? Happened to me 5 times in the last few days. Was at the NW AF, battleye kicks me (client not responding), find another server and spawns me in Electro with the gear i had before. Today i'm at Stary, battleye kicks me again (again not responding) and i spawn in Three Valleys with all my gear. Very annoying. I dont fancy spending the whole day running 5 times to meet my squad .
