This is a simulator, not an arcade game. You need to have some form of sense of your surroundings, you do not have real field of view, nor do you have a the true depth of vision in the game, you need something like a sixth sense., something to be aware of your surroundings. The peripheral dots needed a nerf but not exclusion from the mod.

What about random broken legs at 12k blood when a walker hits you!? It's ridiculous. And where are the damn peripheral dots!?

At the moment, the patch is a big pile of sh*t. Walkers breaking players legs with first hit even though the players have 12k blood!? (happened to me today, luckily i rolled to safety and my squadmates got rid of the walker, earlier today squadmate died from a random 1hit broken leg with 12k blood and the walkers just got him in seconds. What happened to peripheral dots? I do not see them anymore.

The number of vehicles is of course a subject to change if the players feel like that. Unfortunately we cannot control the playstyle of other players, so we will just have to try and see how it is going to be. We wanted to recreate the old-school DayZ feeling that brought us all into the game with no overpowerd weapons, and costum loot tables. Hence the exclusion of L85 AWS and AS50. There should no longer be three FN FAL-s on every heli crash site (reduced the chance to spawn FN FAL), instead the heli crashes has chance to spawn a variety of weapons that are not in the original DayZ mod. The M107 will be in the game but it is super-rare. There are more medium-tier weapons from ARMA II OA. There is no duping (hallelujah!), none of the dupe-methods work, so there won't be 30 players armed to the teeth with every single item in the game running around. You will have to find and fight for your stuff! Clans and players are encuraged to make their own camps (please keep the hoarding to the minimum, there is no need for 3 players to have 5 vehicles). The admins are fresh spawns aswell because we want other players to feel equal. Players are free to find and repair any vehicle they wish, including the helicopters. Beware, the zombies are much more agressive here, they really are dangerous and you can easily get screwed by them. The server has backups every 30 minutes so there wll be no permanent damage if a cheater gets through the whitelisting. If you get killed by a cheater/scripter, you will get all your stuff back. So no worries there. Just contact us through PM here or on our forum (still in development).

So you want 4 pretty rare items and you're giving an average weapon for that and 2 antibiotics (granted they are usefull) Throw in something rare and you could make yourself a deal. Also I (as a trader with 5+ trades confirmed reputation) wouldn't like to be " watched" by stranger (with no Trade reputation) and his escort. North of the map, empty server.

It's been said 100 times that the zombies WILL BE DANGEROUS* in the Standalone, why do you all have the need to point out that they are too easy now? The mod is based on a combat simulation, the zombies in the mod are based on the soldies from the simulation that have an AI of the soldiers, they zig-zag, and try to flank you and their weapons are taken away form them. What do you expect?

Retarded. Bodily functions CANNOT and MUST NOT be implemented. Otherwise we will have trolling retards that takes a dump wherever they can, mostly in high populated areas, Cherno, Elektro, Stary and NW AF. Haven't we had enough of retards barb-wireing every step of the way? Just wait until they get their hands on a standalone with bodily functions, NW AF runway, or tents in Stary covered in feces doesn't sound very attractive...

Yea... maybe for a bush wookie in a ghillie on the Stary north hill. But since I'm playing in my hero skin I can be considered a moving target practice, camo is irrelevant. I have 3 SVD's Camo in my camp but i don't really like them, although they have far superior built in rangefinders, I took my time with the game and learned the mil-dot mechanics to range the target using mildots. I kept the M40 because it's my favorite sniper.

I agree. I have nothing against G36's, M4 ACOG's and similar weapons, they are not in the mod, but they are no more powerfull than the regular counterparts M4 CCO's and stuff. That's why I have M40A3 in my backpack, it is no better than M24, SVD Camo or DMR, but it is awesome. :) As for AS50 TWS, yea, that is quite gamebreaking and far too powerfull.

Server restarts didn't help in getting the vehicles to their spawns, so we asked the cheater/hacker (who came to us in the first place offering help, not the other way around) to destroy all the vehicles in the server so they can spawn again, because no one on the server had a vehicle due to some retard teleporting them all (if I understood well) outside the map. We wanted the vehicles in their original spawn so we can find and repair them, and we didn't do it for us, we did it for the good of the server and other players on it.

Sadly the camo clothing doesn't help, as it is a unique skin and I if I wear it I will be in camo not a hero clothing.
